- An overview of the Tamiya F104 Pro II chassis.
A look at Tamiya's F1 Radio Control car.
( Please note - I incorrectly titled the in video caption ‘F104 Pro’. It is actually the ‘ Pro 2’ chassis )
Very nice, Dom! As you say it's a different world to the usual rally and touring cars we build. I'm very interested to see how it turns out and what you think of the driving experience! Have a smashing weekend, mate! 🤗👊👍🏼
thanks mate . hopefully it will stop raining so i can get it painted and running 😂👍
Super cool Dom! Can’t wait to see this blasting about pal 🙌🏻
You and me both mate . thanks craig 😊👍
Awesome presentation Dom. Thanks for showing all the details
thanks for watching dirk 😊👍
Very nice platform. Everything about this chassis says "FAST" 🏎💨
yeah i agree . thanks buddy 😊👍
Hey that was really interesting Dom. Very different to any Tamiya chassis I've seen before, especially the rear suspension. I'm just thinking about the state of most British car parks and wondering where you will be able to run this. Looks like it needs the smoothest track ever! Great stuff mate 😁👍👍
thanks mate . yeah it’s a bit different. definitely not one for the sands 😂
Good work on the video mate. Lots of close up shots, useful info, and cool music. The effort you put in to editing is always noticed by me 👍
thanks mate . good to hear and glad it’s useful . thanks for watching and commenting 😊👍
Wow that is a smart looking chassis! I like the slide out trays to allow the battery to be inserted!
Very much looking forward to part 2 Dom!👍😊
thanks jeremy. 😊👍
Nice detailed video on the F1! I just did a video of mine doing 37 mph on 3s
thanks buddy. yeah i watched that . went well mate 👍👍👍
Great presentation Dom.
This was most interesting to watch, and very well laid out.
I've not seen one of these close up before, but it actually looks to be a superb piece of engineering.
Love the design of the rear suspension.
I would love one of these, but finding anywhere to run it around here would be impossible..... all the large flat supermarket car parks have drainage gulleys running through them, which is enough to flip a TTO2!
I would also be very concerned about my driving, one hard front end impact could result in many tears by the looks of it!
Looking forward to seeing the body progress, have you decided what livery to go with yet? 🤔
👍 👍 👍
it’s not quite as sensitive as you would think to the ground. i ran it on my street which is normal ish and it was fine . few scratches underneath but to be expected . anyway i’ll blast it somewhere and see what happens .
just going tamiya livery it came with tbh mate. 😊👍
Cool car ,nice one mate 😎
thanks mate 😊👍
Very interesting, Dom! And this is definitely something different from you, I guess you need to find somewhere else to run this than the sand brawler...
But before that, I'll be looking forward to see that sleek body get its nice paint job, very cool stuff!
cheers Mads. it’s definitely a car park runner . hopefully it warms up here so i can paint 😊👍
Hey Dom, that’s a great looking chassis, perhaps feeling the RedBull bug again this years 😂😂😊😊looks like form the start of this years F1 season, we’re going to see another year of RB dominance?😊😊think I’ll tune into RC Dom for some variety 😂😊😂best wishes to you and the family 😊😊
thanks john . yeah think it’s a RB season .
think you would enjoy building this one mate . it’s really different from the normal 😊👍
I would check the spur gear, it might off alignment, its got quite a nasty wobble.
will do . thankyou . have u got this kit ?
@@rc-dom-uk No, I had a F103LM some years back. But your spurgear shouldn't do that wobble, its even audible that the meshing oscillates as you give it gas.
@@tm5123 ok thanks . i’ve double checked it and the nut which you tighten on this ball diff/ spur won’t go any tighter . then you have to release it a quarter turn . bit like a slipper . i’ve done that twice and with the same results . i can’t see anything else to do ?
@@rc-dom-uk Probably take the diff apart, check that the bearings are seated correctly, and also see that the socket thing is aligned well on the axle etc. If you just intend to mostly have it on the shelf tho, it probably doesn't matter that its a bit wonky. So invest time as you see useful. :)
@@tm5123 yeah i’ll have a poke about . thanks mate 😊👍
Now run it through the sand! See how it fares up against the Wild One haha. You'll like this car, I have one.
i don’t think it will be going near a grain of sand 😂
good to hear , thanks mate 😊👍
clearly your main gear is bent, it was poorly assembled.
oh ok . the spur gear ?
