- The 2023-2024 Colorado ski season starts at Arapahoe Basin! Two hours before opening and the line has already formed. It only gets longer as we get closer to the first chair of the season. And, we're off! Nature has cooperated with some fresh snow overnight, so there's a powder cover on top of the man-made. It's a great start to the season! The line is long and it only gets longer as the first couple of runs come and go. There's a pent up demand to get back on the snow, and A Basin delivers! Some people are just here for the apres, and the 6th Alley Bar & Grill is packed. That first run of the season must have stoked up a tremendous thirst. All around great start to the season. Thank you A Basin!

First of all, Abasin crew deserves a blowie from everyone who skied that day. Second of all, I'm from NY and have been living in Texas for 20 years. I ski Abasin every year. But I hope everyone on that line was a local, b/c opening day should belong to y'all. Looks great. Can't wait to get there Xmas week. That line was brutal. I fully intend to wait on it once per day and spend the rest of the day uphill.

How long of wait in line to catch the chair again
