I don't know man. I'm 19 and after watching these podcast it just feels shitty and annexed. It almost feels like demonizing other gender. Also placing a doubt on myself that can I ever be loved is the door for a loving partner is essentially money and status and if so, I would feel replaceable in a relationship. Moreover, if I fail in certain part of my life would that means my partner would leave me or if I'm not able to get a good job, women won't be interested in dating me. I always thought in a relationship both the parties have to take care of each other and be there for highs and lows, what kind of draining relationship it would be where I can't be myself can't talk about vulnerabilities and be worried if anything went wrong my partner would leave me too.
(Also, destiny's response about status and money was to some degree was right but if I talk about myself, I got into STEM because money is there. It doesn't change me as a human being, I'm still that guy. I just made a tuff choice of going into stem)
Hey dude, try to put everything into perspective. You're 19 years old, your frontal cortext isn't even fully developed yet, just to put it in neurological terms. It's a totally distorted view to look at your life in such transactional ways. And if your close relationships are that way, or if those people view relationships that way and you don't: please leave them behind. Focus on yourself, I can tell you're a bright guy but just insecure about who you are and what others (or even society) expect from you. Try to work on those insecurities, even with a therapist if needed, that really helps because a lot of the things these redpillers state as "factual" can be completely debunked by someone with academic expertise like a psychologist. Remember, people develop their whole life, so people saying you have to be something or someone in your 20s is just nonsense. So understand that it's OK and even necessary to keep exploring who you are and what YOU want. And believe me, you will find people who you can be yourself with and build a real connection with. Just don't put pressure on yourself AND the other person to make things happen just because "you have to", whatever that may mean. Let things come and even go organically. I felt that pressure too, but don't waste your life mindlessly following societal pressures which aren't even healthy or necessary in the first place. Also, you will fail, and then probably fail again, and maybe again. That's something we all have to accept, or succumb to. And the right person, and dare I say a lot of people will help you get back up and even launch you to be a better version of yourself. Otherwise, what's it really worth? P.S. a practical tip that you really need to do: put yourself in situations or places in which you can really be yourself. For example if you're interested in climbing, go to a climbing gym and you WILL meet people just like you. Do what you like, go out to do it, and you will meet the right people.

For now, you can try to observe successful relationships in your day to day life that is not connected to the internet and you can read relevant literature and statistics to ground your observations better.
I think the crying thing depends on the situation, I didn't cry in front of my wife for probably a decade, and the day my father died, I cried uncontrollably off and on for a few weeks several times in front of her and never thought she would leave me because of it
