The NFL Training Camp Tour continues and we have come to one of The Pivot's favorite stops...visiting our Pittsburgh Family, Steelers Camp, we are like the Uncles who never go away when we are here! And today we see how the Steelers legacy continues!
Sitting down with the 2nd father and son duo drafted to the same team, the first being Channing and his father to Miami and now Joey Porter Sr and Joey Porter Jr to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Always fun experience to return back to the place Ryan called home for so many years and how much Channing loves to chime in about it. Playing with his father, Joey Sr, both Channing and Ryan have a lot of memories and stories of those days and are in awe to see the player and man Joey Porter Jr turned out to be.
Joey Jr talks about what it's like to play for Coach Tomlin and how camp has been a good test of going against some of the best talent especially his match ups with Wide Receiver George Pickens and the advice he receives from his dad as he navigates these tough 6 weeks!
With a strong offense and the defense gaining more experience this offseason, don't count the Steelers out of the AFC North running as they are proving to be a team of talent and depth.

I love the way Joey Sr. talked about protecting his son. Fatherhood is such a major responsibility and it’s cool seeing a dude that’s known for being a tough guy show that part of himself. Another great episode!

As a Steelers fan, Man am I excited for this year. Its been a couple years where I know we ain't going to do much. But this year is promising so far

I know it’s just preseason so can’t take a whole lot from it but definitely after seeing our 1s thump buffalos 1s on both sides of the ball. Hopefully we stay healthy, we have some young talent and potential. Always going to have the hating fans though

Theres something really cool about these guys coming back to reminisce about the old days. While JPJ is starting his story that one day he may get to do the exact same thing 15 years or more down the road.

As a lifelong Steelers fan, I absolutely love any/everything these Pivot boys do Steelers related, but this one is extra special.. Joey P, Deebo, Hines, Troy, Bus, RC, etc is right in my heyday of Steelers football fandom being in my 30s now 🙌🙌

These are some of my favorite episodes. Family and legacy! Yall having conversations with father and son and its extra special when they play for the same team. I hope this continues to expand, even into other sports where parent and child both got to the highest level.
