I’m fortunate to have gotten to ride that before they shut it down and it was a great ride other than you wait in line for an hour for a 15 second ride but the initial g’s at take off was amazing
Its actually not gone for good. Its closed for a redesign. It's being converted into a swing launch coaster with a vertical spike behind the station.

@@mak55509 Id assume you've seen the videos on it by now, but basically its gonna launch 0-70 forward, make it like 1/3 of the way up, launch 0-100 backwards going up a large tower that has been added behind the launch, and then forward 0-120 all the way over the hump. It will be significantly less intense.

The magnum was my first roller coaster, which is the equivalent of being thrown into the deep end of the pool and kinda knowing how to swim.

I honestly never been to Cedar Point but I totally relate to riding the spine chilling, and awesome Rollercoasters at California's Great America and Magic Mountain from when I was a kid and now lol.
I never liked the Raptor. The first and only time I went on it it, shook my head so much I almost got a concussion.

Regarding Top Thrill I’ve always found it crazy that there isn’t a 100% success rate of the trains getting over the hill, I was always waiting for it to be closed one day and be fixed but it never was now it’s getting completely shut down for something else
Because the catapult system is based off the amount of weight on the train and I suppose sometimes it’s either not completely accurate or you could also just encounter a lot of wind resistance that isn’t accounted for. You don’t make it over every time because there isn’t a chain like in a normal roller coaster to pull you over the hump.

Two ultra scary rides: Blue Streak and Corkscrew.
They are both cute when you go up the first hill, but when you hit the bottom it's like you're riding a coaster made of toothpicks including the seat you're sitting in. It feels like you're about to fling out of the seats at 100mph. I love them both because of how intense they are for such small rides lmao. It's so freaking hilarious to see everyone's hands up going down the first hill on blue streak, then immediately all hands go down as people try to hold onto anything hahaha

The top thrill dragster was the craziest shit ever. Nothing else like it
Raptor, Magnum, Mantis, Millennium Force, Demon Drop... in descending order of awesomeness. The first roller coaster theme park I ever went to - coming from the back country of Nova Scotia, Canada, was Cedar Point! What a magical place! My first roller coaster that I ever rode was the Raptor. What a starter coaster! Whew! I didn't care for the 111 degree heat and the 2 hour long wait times for the lines, but I'll be damned if I didn't ride every damn coaster in the joint, some more than once. I rode them so much that when I was laying in bed that night, I could still feel my body being dragged around and flung up and down and all around!
It's the same feeling you get when you step off a boat that's been in the swells and waves on a windy day... you'd swear some part of you inside is still rocking around out there in that boat. Well the roller coasters had this effect times 1000! It was SO weird! Tactile hallucinations without drugs at 13 years old.
as someone who also grew up in OH and went every summer.... hells yeah. best coaster park anywhere... by far. and riding at night, as a kid, with no lights up top, is absolutely amazing and pretty freaky. you also forgot literally running from line to line trying to get on as many as possible.

As someone who has rode all three of these rides, the magnum had a futuristic design bc at the time it was meant to be a sign that it was a broken record for its time, being 200 feet was "unbelievable".
The Millenium Force is by far in my top three of Cedar Pointe, it has some of the best G-Forces that don't make your face compress backwards and is overall an enjoyable thrill ride.
Ah, good ol' Top Thrill, the last ride that I rode at Cedar Pointe the last time i was there. Was never lucky enough to get a rollback but lucky enough to have rode it during its lifetime. During all of 2022 it was shut down and it doesn't seem to be coming back, at least under the same name. Not a whole lot is public knowledge as of writing this but what I can say is that from the top on a clear day, you can in fact see Canada.
The last one i'll write abt is not one that was discussed in the video, however that is because it was formerly a wooden coaster up until a few years back.
Steel Vengeance, formerly the Mean Streak, is a hybrid coaster using steelhorse tracks in a giant hive of wooden supports. It does several corkscrew inversions and all sorts of fun dynamic movements. There are no overhead harnesses but it does clamp you into the seat by your legs and a seatbelt (first iterations of the leg mechanisms did not have handlebars but they later added them when they got feedback of riders not having anywhere to safely put their hands)
And thus, an overly long comment abt these rides plus the Steel Vengeance
Please don’t put “the” before every coaster name it’s the most gp thing to do.
