this video is more like troubleshooting video rather than review.
additional info, i add masking tape to the resin tank corner. because the lower corner cannot produce resin surface with constant height, which cause me lots of failure. after i cover the corner, i can get constant resin surface height and level, helping me with producing success print.

I’m glad my wife talked me out of backing this one.
Great and thorough review. The printer seems an absolute mess to use. I can't believe they actually are selling it in this condition. To me this technology needs at least 5 years more development.
Awesome in-depth review! A pity the printer is not as good as expected.
Time will come until we see top down home printers and say goodbye to massive supports and fep issues.
Thanks for your work!
I've got a rocket 1 pro, been trying to get it to work with other brands of material, only have good results with the hitry materia, although I had a horrible time trying to get their filler hydrated correctly.
For reference I work in the medical field, I've worked with Formlabs, Carbon, Envisiontec, Tiger direct, and Miicraft printers.
A couple times I've considered just pulling my rocket apart and making a custom printer with parts of a dead Miicraft 125 I have in my garage
It's finally here!
Man, the printer sure seems like a huge headache to just even trying to get it work, lol.
I'm sad that this printer is pretty much a flop.
Being able to print stuff with minimal supports would have been super interesting
dude... this machine is disaster
Mehehehehehehe i have to agree.
Lacking autoblade is really the issue.
Guys I’ve had this printer for about a week. I will say it’s not bad. Definitely troublesome at first. I’ve never ever used a 3D printer before this one but I think I’ve done pretty well 💙
Solid review, thank you.
Another thorough review, covered everything about this printer.
Looks like consumer 'top down' printing is still not here yet, I think there's a minimal cost which is quite high for the proper components to do it right, and the mess...
Just lacking the autoblade is the issue.
Damn shame that the results are what they are. I really like the idea and approach of the printer. I can't imagine adding a wiper bar would have added that much cost. It'd be one stepper and either a belt or threaded rod.
Great review. Never took mine out of the box. It sits in a storage locker. Figured I'd wait until more information came out from users.
Guess I'll fill the thing up with a cluster of Estes model rocket engines, light the fuse and see how high I can get it to go. Either that or hack it into a Mr. Fusion,
Thats a shame, lots of potential for a top down consumer level printer but this seems like a nightmare, glad someone of your techincal skill level got to test it.
Wow, total train wreck 😂 Nice concept, give them another 2 generations and I'll consider watching another video with them in 😂😂😂
Concept is sound enough but I think it needs a bit of refinement before it could compete with FEP based designs
I imagine a DLP or maybe a fresnel that can be adjusted up and down to improve focus might solve that blooming or help a bit. The resin print surface is going to be a little tricky to tackle though.
6:45 dunno if anyone mentioned before on your social media, but the steering wheel is mirrored, you notice right away with the big 6 number. You test prints using this steering wheel model on other printers are in the correct orientation.
I did mention in previous post.
I didnt realize the default on chitu is mirror.
LOL
I can see your effort through the beads of sweat on your hands.
nobody reviewing printer like you man
Huahahahahahaha tears and sweat.
this is true, best resin printer reviewer out there
@@wangdennys btw will you be reviewing the mars 4 9k ultra? i've placed the pre-order today (it's my first 3d printer), i was going to get phrozen mini 8ks before but i need max resolution and accuracy for small parts
@@St0RM33 unfortunately no,
No luck with elegoo yet.
Maybe you can comment on their page? 😁
@@wangdennys heeh why not? :)
Hey. I get an error saying: Different resolution with projector! -1440 when I'm trying to print the CTB diles. Is there any thing I can do to avoid this? Id really appreciate any help :) thank you in advance
So I just impulse buyed this from a guy on eBay I paid 200$ total for it shipped to my house… can I use other resin or do I have to use their resin? I’m a little confused on this after a ton of research
Hi, having had the Rocket 1 for a year, it seems that I have a wrong exposuretime for Resin Hitry white standard. Theyrecommend 2s for 0.05 layer but I get very soft edges and no sharp corners.
should it be lower, ex 1.2-1.4 ?

I recommend sell the printer
This printer looked like a whole lot of headaches when it was announced. Seems to still be that.
Off topic, could you a video on how to prevent that weird buildup on surfaces around supports? (Or is that an easy fix?) What causes that? 🤔 🧐
I did explain how in troubleshooting chapters.
@@wangdennys sorry, I mean to say a general explanation for any printer. Like Elegoo Saturn or whatever. Is it the same for all resin printers?
@@pherja then for those. Watch my other tutorial.
@@wangdennys ok I must have missed it! Thanks again.
You know why Prusa became popular? It just works..this however need to go back into development...
This printer is a waste of money. On delivery, my printer's control panel would black out after several seconds. HITRY provided a sketchy video on how to repair it involving removing two screws holding it in place. It worked, but the panel deflects when you press it. It still blanked out afterwards, but not right away. That allowed me to do the light test, which failed miserably. The light source apparently was loosened in shipping. Again HITRY provided a video, but I had enough. They had me ship it back to China (from USA) at my expense, only to have China customs charge $199 fee for release. I refused to sink anymore $ into this POS. There is no support in the USA and the machine is a nightmare to maintain. I strongly recommend not buying this!
I would love to have a resin printer that doesn’t require a fep, sadly this is not the machine we wanted. Is this a test printer or an actually market ready printer? Have you relaid your thoughts to the company? Awesome review as always!
I am not sure they will notice my thought.
It is market ready printer.
The better you do that review - the worse that printer looks😂
😆
sayang banget resinnya dibuang,, padahal kalau di masukkin ke botol kecil mayan jualan lem resin
Sigh... Yeah I still have not made anything successfully 😢 don't think anyone is gonna buy it too so, guess I'll just keep it and when I can I'll mess with it
Promising tech. Poorly executed. Too many promises and claims by maker and many redflags during Kickstarter. Had to sit out
Yeah it is...
Yeah, when the Kickstarter was announced, I was intrigued but decided not to drop any money on it; it seemed more of a prototype model.
@@TheAndrian463 Wish I did the same.
Why this printer looks like a biggest failure of down top 😂
😆
1000$ "budget" printer that get everthing worse than the printers for half the price.
Ufff
