Thankyou so much for the Aussie snacks!! If Any other wonderful countries want to send us snacks to try my PO Box is in the description! 💞🥰
Love you Kris
Is there a specific place to order through? I haven't ever ordered something for overseas delivery?
Annelize Burger I think it’s possible to order it on amazon and send it!
As an Australian in my opinion you did the vegemite on toast wrong, you had way too much butter and a little vegemite. I normally have vegemite on toast as a midnight snack and I don’t use butter. Anyways I love all your vids :)
I feel like the violet crunch is a crunchie, and we have those in Canada. Go buy a crunchie pretty please and tell me if it's the same. Edit, wow the next snack was a crunchie lolz
Is any other Aussie thinking of how wrong they made Milo
Yea... I’m also concerned cause I think they used a can opener to open it...

I'm from Australia and watching this was really funny because us Australians eat these foods as part of our everyday lives without thinking about it and seeing you guys trying to work out the tastes of these foods was really enjoyable!
Love your content! ❤

all the australians dying watching her do the milo, literally me

To any other Aussies, I have been eating these foods my entire life and it surprised me how many foods they had never heard of! Also not enough Vegemite on the toast, nearly enough but you have to get it perfect.
Yeah haha
I know, I was eating some Vegemite toast and when I yelled “No, NO! LOOK AT MY VEGEMITE TOAST- YOU HAVENT EATEN ENOUGH! 3/10?! WHAT-“
I’m an Aussie and I put nearly the hole tub on and some people look at me weird I don’t why 😂😂😂😂
I'm Aussie and I had no idea some of these things were exclusively Australian!! Honestly wild

My part of Aus we don't use "do the Harry", we say "doin' a Harold Holt" - you bolt.
Harold Holt was our Prime Minister who was swimming at a beach one day and disappeared. I just love that in Melbourne they have a swimming pool named after him. A PM drowned and we named a swimming pool after him 😂

Yes!! It’s the best!
Ikr!
Oh we're the foreigner! We say that about you lol.
they put hardly anytjing on the toast
Been a proud Aussie for just over 20 years now. From this video I learned there are instructions on Milo for how much to put in. My rule of thumb is, if you question if there's too much, put 3 tablespoons more in.
so true!
Heck yea
@Amelia Osullivan phew and here i was thinking i was the only one who did that!
I just put it on the top and eat it with the milk
Yeah
I love their reactions to things that I literally eat every day as an Australian

I know I'm about 2 years late on this, but We do have Cadbury in the states, I'm a HUGE Cadbury creme egg and Caramello fan.
wait are they still dating just wondering
Vegemite is made from brewer's yeast extract with various vegetable and spice additives and was developed by Cyril Callister in Melbourne, Victoria (Australia), in 1922. As an Aussie I grew up with Vegemite, though I would generally put a bit more on the toast than what you guys did
As an Australian you put a lot of Milo, then you pour the milk in... BUT!! Here is where the twist comes in. You mix it a little so the milo rises to the top then you eat the milo powder that’s been coated in the milk. Then you drink it... that way the milk only gets a little milo flavour. Hope this helped to any Non-Australians who are gonna try milo
This is correct.
I do the same in SA
Milk ? What’s the point milo Iam Aussie
Yeah I live in Australia but I don’t do that lol, but I know others do

‘You Aussies really like your honeycomb snacks’
Every Aussie thinking that Violet Crumble and Crunchie are the only honeycomb chocolates
What about maltesers
(Pretty sure they arent aussie)
No but they aren’t a standard honeycomb chocolate. I don’t know anyone who would buy the honeycomb malteasers over regular malteasers
i thought Crunchie was sponge toffee ?? also Canada def has crunchie

3:06 Violet Crumble- Gas Station Chocolate, pretty much a Crunchie
5:29 Crunchie- Slightly better Violet Crumble
7:05 Pods- Many different flavours, personally never tried the s’more flavour, I would say they are a movie snack
8:31 Cadbury Fury Friends- Literally just milk chocolate
10:28 Milo- You put way more than that in, depending on how your feeling some people have it hot with boiling water and milk

I thought the exact same thing!
Yeah, they put barely any on it though, like how will you taste it with so much butter and not much vegemite??
I totally agree with this comment
Thank god they actually did I correct am I right
I kept telling them through the screen just to eat the teaspoon of Milo without the milk. Just the Milo 😆
And then I wanted to show them how to do a Tim Tam slam.
Fellow Aussies, we must teach them our ways 🙏
Yesssss also was i the only one who was constantly going wait that’s not everywhere?

this is so cool. I receive a box of snacks every moth from a different country from snack crate. It comes with a description of each snack and a little booklet of interesting facts from that country. I used it as a fun way to teach my kids about new places. it is so much fun trying all the new things, also I am from the states and we actually do have Cadbury. thanks for this though I love your channel.
Most Australians use a dessertspoon, love the crunch on top; it is great before bed, in hot milk.

Aussies: appalled on how little she put on

I had the opportunity to visit British Columbia in 1971, while in the Royal Australian Navy as part of Australia's attendance for their Sesquicentennary. Loved it, even though we were only in Vancouver; it was so welcoming as it felt like home, great expat aussie/kiwi community.
My dad‘s Australian so when I was younger I used to trick my friends into thinking Vegemite was chocolate and I’d give them a spoonful and we trick them you know it definitely doesn’t taste like chocolate but we did there’s like a ritual thing like every new person that came over to our house I did try a spoonful of “chocolate” I don’t even know why we had Vegemite in the house my dad didn’t like it but who’s there so we thought it be funny and it was They hated it but it was the funniest thing ever
Iv have done that before and the reaction was priceless
It’s not “do a Harry” it’s “he did a Harold Holt” we sort of lost a PM a few years back after he went for a swim so it means to disappear.

furry friends are best frozen, milo is meant to be chunky
Also Australian here. I've not heard the expression really used either, but I believe its after former Australian Prime Minister Harold (Harry) Holt who disappeared.
Seems like an 80s word. Also sounds like a reference to someone who was known for running

Fury friends made me cry I had them when I was young
Im Aussie and my soul hurt when U tried to mix the Milo untill it disappeared. Mix it a bit then leave it then eat the extras.
I honestly dont even mix it
The crunchy top on Milo is life!
You can never have too much milo so don't follow the rules/guidelines on the box. Also, it's meant to be chunky because then you can use your spoon to eat the milo that hasn't disolved and it is so good. As an Aussie, we sometimes eat vegemite on toast as breakfast or a snack but it can be really good for lunch too if you are low on food or just want it. Thank you for eating these foods the right way too. It's so nice to see
Vegemite equals breakfast, school sandwiches for lunch, on some crackers for afternoon tea and sometimes in the evening meal instead of using stock powder. It's an all day thing for some people! But mostly it's breakfast and school lunches.
Yep

Someone should send over all the varieties of timtams, milo can be used on ice-cream.... Vegemite and cheese sangas ( sandwiches ), everything has an acquired taste but timtams bit opposing corners of the biscuit and suck a cup of coffee through the biscuit...it may take a few bikkies ( it's called shotgunning a timtam)
Also you bite two corners that a diagonal for Tim Tams then place them in milk and then it’s like a straw will give you chocolate flavour as well sooo good! 😊
Them: milo tastes like chocolate milk without sugar
Every Aussie: that’s a sweet treat here hun

and u gotta mix it so there is still milo on top, cause then when ur drinking u inhale and start choking. that's how u live like a real aussie

As an Aussie fan, I agree with all your ratings except Milo. You need at least 4 heaped tablespoons more powder than that. Don’t trust what the packet says. PS it is a crime that you didn’t try shapes. They were my childhood.

@Kata Jugovic unless it’s the vegimite shapes
We do have Cadbury in America for those who are wondering. The cream filled eggs are kinda the highlight of Easter.
BTW....Vegemite is really good if you rub it on a beef or pork roast before cooking. It adds a lovely flavor. I grew up eating it on bread for school lunch and still love it. It is very good for hair and nails due to the yeast factor.

also, just a short (simple) history on vegemite (also thanks for eating it write and not just grabbing a spoon and eating it like it's a chocolate spread) the European colonials brought marmite over with them but when they got over here it was too hot and they needed more salts in their diets so there tweaked the recipe inevitably creating vegemite.

Hey Kris, I love your channel. I’m Australian and this was so funny to watch. I love your videos so much and you have helped me through my hard times ♥️, btw to answer your question at the start. We have Vegemite at breakfast, lunch.
We eat vegemite on toast for breakfast (breaky) and I have it on a sandwich for lunch every day. Every day. I'm way too lazy to make anything else. You can have it for dinner because there's nothing stopping you, but usually they'd be in, like a cheese and vegemite scroll or something. Or vegemite and cheese under the grill.

Yeah
@@snakevenom148 I’ve never heard it and I’ve lived in 2 states
@@jessthehungrygirl1444 yeah im aware, I live in QLD and have never heard it, but im assuming it could be a relatively old term
I always thought it was to "do the Harold Holt" as in to bolt/to leave quickly. It's supposed to rhyme, holt=bolt.
Doing the Harry is most usually said as Doing the Harold Holt which is both rhyming slang for bolt and also refers to one of our Prime Ministers, Harold Holt, who vanished while taking a swim in the ocean while holding the top job.
You probably could have put a little bit more Vegemite on the toast, that was pretty sparse. It's major issue is it is VERY strong stuff, and foreigners tend to slather it on like other spreads.
The Crunchie/Violet Crumble is something you see a lot here. We have two big chocolate companies, Cadbury and Nestle and they will make a lot of very similar stuff.
I have vegemite for breakfast, lunch and tea. Love it. But I have heaps of vegemite on the bread. Love it
