Tom Johnson exactly. Dodge interiors are comfortable and are no where near as cheap as he’s making them out to be. The material that’s surrounding the infotainment center and gear shifter is real carbon fiber and the headliner is made of suede. The plastic that’s in the car is almost unnoticeable when you’re in it.
Doug’s pick up line is probably something like “what are your quirks and features?”

@@davidcoronado6346 Dodge/Mopar has packages, whatever package you can have it in the car, even the seats they come basic with clothes, the one he is showing has the upgraded seats (with vents/heat).
The blank buttons in the wheel is for the brake/drive assistance which is called Technology package, I thought it comes with SRT by default.
As for the main stuff like the body, seats, and dashboard design, it won't get any more fancy.

I really love this thing. If I had over 80.000 to spend on a car, I'd go for this. I'm not a fan of German cars and this dodge looks very cool and I prefer cars where the brand or model name aren't printed everywhere

Just saw one of these in person today, my first one. There was an e92 M3 driving side by side with the Hellcat in front of me. The passenger in the m3 hung out the window with his phone video on I expect and asked the Hellcat to get on it...and did he get on it...that’s a sound you don’t forget. I followed the two of them for 5 miles just to listen to that engine.
Man, I love the 'insanity' thing that Doug does. This car could bring the boy racer inside a person.
Doug take this into consideration, when test driving a car , get a second camera that points at the road so we can see what’s going on and feel better it’s acceleration. Make your facecam a little smaller it will be better

18:05 The air compressor also has a fix-a-flat function. Instead of a spare it can fill the tire with that gooey sealant to limp it to a shop.
My only gripe with that is if you have a flat because of a puncture that's normally able to be patched you'd be hard pressed to find a shop willing to actually patch it after the goo went into the tire. A lot of shops won't even service a tire that's been filed with fix-a-flat; they won't even remove it to place a new new tire on the rim so that's a problem. I never plan on using it if I get a flat in my scat pack because of this. I will instead utilize my AAA membership to get it towed to a tire shop.
Sometimes when it works and it’s simple, don’t change it. The blank buttons are actually for the trucks for towing options.
speaking of a hand brake and door handles, it's Toyota's approach to reliability - if it isn't broken, dont fix it. No stupid electronic handbrake and no stupid electronic pop up handles. No stupid plastic cover on the engine and so on.. I really like the mindset of this car design.

Its always the same buyers, which is why theyre still around even though most of their cars are junk and not reliable as well as having horrible depreciation, dodge and jeep depreciate alot quicker than most cars, you can buy a 5 year old dodge dart for $3000
A good example, my stepmother who knows nothing about cars, she bought a 2011 dodge challenger rt for 32,000 she then sold it 6 years later for 9,000 and bought a 2016 srt challenger for 35,000. She didnt consider buying any other cars.

yammmit if you’ve been in a hellcat you would know that the interiors actually pretty good quality the seats are pretty comfortable but have a lot of tech inside because they’re heated seats and are ventilated so some people might not think it’s up to par and have real carbon fiber on the gear shift and also real leather on the doors i can go on but it would be too long if a comment

I love how this car was designed. I’m not sure exactly what the economic stats are of this but I’d assume around 70% of the cost is in the engine and everything else that makes it drive like transmission and all that other stuff making it ‘functional’. I would assume not much of the overall cost of this car is in comfort or looks. This is solely meant for speed, and I respect that

The light on the outside mirrors is designed to shine on the door handle and is actually useful in an unlit parking lot or dark garage. Probably you wouldn't figure out what it is if you don't drive a lot at night.

The back up camera is standard FCA camera, you find it on Jeeps and Fiats too. I honestly wouldn't mind the interior looking on the cheaper side. It looks perfectly presentable and the engine is the main show here.

You really don't buy one of these for luxury inside. It's when you mash the gas and hear the exhaust note, that's what makes you happy. Thats the reason you bought it.

Hey Doug, you should do a review on a Cadillac (if you can even find one) that came out in the 90's called the Mosler Twinstar. It has two engines, one under the hood and another in the trunk.
I drove a 2016 dodge charger srt hellcat and hit 165mph on an empty highway in the middle of the night effortlessly like it was nothing, I slowed down because the highway turned from a straight road to a curve and I almost shit my pants slowing down. I could've gone faster if the highway continued going straight but it was such an adrenaline rush
These things just keep going. Good bang for your buck. I have a scat, not a hellcat. Not sure about the cost.

I have a 2006 R/T which I’ve modified the shit out of but it amazes me how similar the interior of this is to mine so you’re right they are pretty aged and yeah I’m mostly buying this for performance but I would also like a nice interior for almost 90 grand even my 2006 has a back middle arm rest with cup holders (they suck but they are there)
I have the 2020 Charger GT, and that has the track pack in it as well. Which is funny because I'm not going to be racing my V6. A couple points on your review. The marketplace isn't working because you have to set it up your subscription to Sirius, which connects your car to your phone. Second, when it's below a certain temperature the car will automatically turn on the seat and steering wheel heaters, and turn on the defroster, so you don't need to look for the button. On top of that, the initial screen will also show these controls when you turn the car on.
No way I'm sitting in the back seat of this car knowing that the driver has the capability to go 200 mph

Most cars go 140-160MPH. The 40MPH makes no significant difference on you surviving in a crash at the point.

Being an SRT Charger owner, I think the appeal to this car is the aggressive looks and muscle car heritage. Yes, I get that it has 4 doors, but it's simply a big car, with a big engine, an aggressive exhaust, it's easy to spin the tires and is a lot of fun to drive. I do hope the next gen car makes some substantial improvements, but it's a lot of fun.
Brett Sandy ever since fiat took over, the fiat hellcats and fiat challengers have just gotten greedy and complacent, they haven’t even considered updating their vehicles, I dont even think one is in the works.

It's near impossible to even find a scat pack under 40k. They seem to be holding value even better.
