You guys always put out great content. Keep up the good work!
Mom I'm sorry but you're not getting grandkids anytime soon...Hemi comes first
But can you put a hellcat truck and hood on the scatpack?
I love both. I can afford neither.
It’s ok you can get it if you work hard 😁🍎
I have a scat pack and it is really fast, especially when I put it in sport mode
Jus save up bro thats wat ima do
In another 38 months you will be able to afford the 392 at off lease only.
I’m saving up but undecided which one to get I heard a Hellcat uses about $1,200 in fuel a month 🤣😂
my brain says hellcat but my wallet says bicycle
😂
it's good to know your limits, you can get a really nice bike for $1000

That's my dad for sure. Both me and my sister were grown when the Hellcat came out, but he definitely would have had it when we were little. I love his Hellcat. I just wish he would let me drive it. Lmao
My wife told me I had to get a 4 door.. I came home with a scat pack... she didn’t talk to me for 3 days!

@@petermontgomery7323 why! It's a sensible choice
I've had my charger scat for a year and a half, and I can't wipe the grin off my face when I accelerate. Delete the Mid muffler & it'll sound borderline ignorant... It really is a perfect everyday driver! Tank of gas can last you a week, or you can put it in sport mode & it'll last you 3 days lol.
True! I've had my 17 scatpack charger for a couple years and that cold start and acceleration never get old! I did a mid muffler delete and went with dynomax mini bullets. Sounds just downright bonkers.
How is it for long-term driving? I drive around 5 hours/day. Is it good for driver fatigue? (back pain and exhaustion).
@@thelovelybajan well honestly with the delete u wont notice much of a change from stock in terms of normal driving UNTIL you hammer it and then u hear that baby open up! U shouldn't get too irritated from it. The only drone i have heard is once u hit about 80 and cruise and once 4 cylinder mode kicks in u hear a tad bit of drone but it's not enough to discourage u. I love the sound.
Is there a line lock to do burn outs🤣😁😂
Bingo but I'm so use to my Scat I'm trading and preparing for the Redeye 🤩
As much as I want a hellcat charger. I'd opt for the wide body scat pack myself. 485hp is plenty imo.

But it doesn't have the $90 hellkitty badges.

As a hellcat owner, I agree. The scat is plenty for 90% or more of drivers.
@@lance5041 do you regret all the power between your legs? Are you glad you went for the upset feline?
392 Scat Pack Wide Body is the best value proposition IMO. Difference on the street is negligible since the Hellcat is always losing traction. And it's not like the 392 is slow. It's still damn quick and looks just as good.
I don't think the extra 24k for 220hp is worth it either
You won't use 707 bhp all the time... And!? 90% of the highways are 75 mph or 85 mph through out the USA. Just saying.. Scat Pack make it right for the American roads.
@@Bluesky1ification 55-70mph mostly (at least over here on the east coast)
Or you could just swap in bigger tires and use the power
Ian Clancy traction can be solved by better tires in the back and knowing how to launch. I know cause I have a 870HP HellCat.

Ever got the hellcat?
How much do you have so far?
I have a 2019 Scat Pack. It is so fun to drive up until I remember I live in California where gas cost an arm and leg. The bumblebee emblem is just awesome though!
Thankfully I'm in texas. That race gas kills me man just got my 2019 scat pack
I was decided on going for a 392. But then after research I realized there is not much you can do to the engine to make more power. The 392 is plenty fast, but I like the possibility of adding power in the future. I changed my mind and got a charger hellcat. Best decision I’ve made. The whine of that supercharger is absolutely the best thing ever.
They make tons of kits for 392's. Hellion makes a twin turbo kit.

@@thegoathimself9777 and void your warranty... if you want the Whine just get the hellcat, why buy a scatpack and add a supercharger?
@@Qugie yea u right
Qugie Also, you can pick up a used Hellcat for the price of a new wide body scatpack. With the Hellcat having a much higher potential, that’s the route I’d go.
The scat pack is nice but I own a Hellcat cause I dont like coming in second.
We went with Hellcat too. It's a 2018. I'm shocked by how many comments are mouthing it saying its stupid not to get a scat pack. My guess is these people dont have either. I get people who purchased the scat for reasons but to mouth when you don't have either is stupid
Janelle 09 no ones mouthing it lmao . Why would someone talk shit on a car that is obviously the better and faster version.
Janelle 09 I hear this cars have electrical problems is it true I’m afraid of dodge because of my friend 2019 Dodge Ram have issues with the tablet look alike radio also transmission
Janelle 09 you could be Dodge Material
Most people opt for the Scat Pack cause they don't have an extra 35k laying around. Btw, for $70-80k, you can effortlessly throw together a custom built car that'll absolutely obliterate any Hellcat on a straight.
Gets my mom home at 200+ mph which means after her heart attack i can collect the life insurance.
Which will be totally consumed by the voracious Hellcat. Assuming you're not thrown in Slam for murder.
Totally worth it,though....
I just took delivery of my 2022 Scat Pack. It's not even broken in yet and I'm getting 30 MPG on the hwy. Here's the trick. Accelerate up to the point where it just up shifts into 8th gear. Let the computer do it, no paddle shifting. Then set the cruise control and just watch it sip the gas. My RPM is just above idle at 1300 and my speed at 69 MPH. Now this is on smooth, flat pavement with no hills and no headwind. As soon as you set cruise control, you'll see the 8 cylinders drop down to 4. Another nice feature brought to you by those genius MOPAR engineers, it changes the cylinder usage every cycle so you're not using the same ones every time. My Scat Pack is so beautiful and a real performer. When the battery version comes out in 2024 it will be a sad day unless Dodge decides to market half and half....half HEMIS and half batteries. At least keep the HEMI going until 2035 when most states will outlaw gas engines and not make it cost effective for Dodge.
$1500 destination charge? Auto manufacturers are getting out of control with that charge/fee now.

I deadass looked down and read this moments after he said that shit and i was so dumbfounded by that shit😭😂😭
I've had my scatpack for nearly 3 years now and it's still just an incredibly fun and practical daily driver. It holds 2 car seats easily and even with the rear facing seat, the front passenger seat can stay in a comfortable position for the average adult.
One thing that should be emphasized with the scatpack is that the insurance companies consider it a standard R/T and as a result, the premiums are significantly lower than the SRT/Hellcat.
The backseats are a serious pro when you have kids!! We got the hellcat & used to have a mustang gt and it was terrible getting that carseat in/out as well as her 😂
Is the gas mileage really as bad as people say about it? Or manageable
@@sanj5026 About 12~ish MPG in town and 24 or so on the highway. Premium fuel only.
I loved the car but ended up with a Tesla Model 3 Performance so I've gone from paying about $250/month for fuel to about $50 in electricity. I miss the howl of that Hemi though but the speed the Tesla has off the line is just unreal. I've taken it to the track a couple times and beaten a couple hellcats, Mustang GT's, Camaro SS and a C8 Vette. It loses a lot of pulling power at around 110mph but by then, you're already in trouble if the law catches you.
In all honesty, I'd choose the Scat Pack myself. Yes, the Hellcat has more HP, but there's so many more factors in choosing between the 2. If you're someone who goes to the track on a daily basis and is particularly wealthy, the Hellcat would be the choice considering you more than likely have another vehicle that's more practical. For me, all I do is commute 45-50 minutes to work throughout the week and drive around town on the weekends in my 18 Challenger RT Plus. Would I take a Scat Pack? Of course, but as of now, I'm only able to afford my RT. It's called staying in your lane and being content with what you have. I see myself getting the 6.4 one day. Heck, I wouldn't mind the Hellcat, but my circumstances would have to be completely different for that. But I digress; 485 HP isn't anything to sneeze at at all.

As a proud owner of a 2015 Scat Pack, I can state that the Charger is the best bang for the buck sedan, literally is the best selling RWD sedan in the US.
I wish Chrysler provided more interior colors like the SRT, I would definitely get the Brown Laguna Seca for a couple of grand, although I'm pretty happy with the Black Suede leather.
If you plan to get the Scat Pack make sure you get the Suede Leather Package (this includes the vented seats and much more) and the Beats Audio System (far the best audio system for this car), those are the must have packages you will not regret. Do not get any of the tire packages, get your own tires since the good year summer tires didn't last me more than 8 months :S
This car is rock solid and the only thing you will have to worry is your tires and brakes, so far I've spent 3 sets of Tires (255/45/20 continental Sport- $900) and Brakes I spent $2000. I'm mostly highway driver since I got my new I've been driving this car almost 100 miles a day with mild Traffic (35MPH to +80MPH) I can keep the car at 4 Cylinder mode in 45% of the trip. I get up to 28-31 MPG in 4 cylinder mode at 80 MPH and 25-27 at 8 cyl at 80 MPH on Highway Driving with 19-21 MPG combined at each trip driving gentle (no point in hammering it on traffic). You will rarely use the full pedal (unless racing/spinning the tires) half of it will get you up to +120 MPH easily ;) however MPG combined will be on the low 14-16
Good job! I also agree, the 24K in savings makes the Scat Pack a hell of a deal and probably even a better deal if bought slightly used too.
2022 here & nope they go as much or if not more than a new scat pack
Good job, I am entertained!

Top notch review..
I drove a 2018 Scat Challenger with 6 speed. The burble and pops of the exhaust were worth the price of admission. 4 people in the car and the 2nd to 3rd shift I did was magical. My sons were impressed. I want a Hellcat but think i would not drive it as much as the Scat Pack. I think the Nascar look of the Charger though is simply unique with the wide body. I don't really roll with family anymore; I like horsepower and some of the 80K Redeyes are discounted $14k or so. I don't want to take the plunge on $1200/month payments. Really should buy a house first...

Just got a wb scat last month and I love it. Only thing I would change is the seats. I have the red alcantara seats but I wish I had the option to get full leather like the hellcat. Leather is just easier to maintain.
would it be better to get a wide body scatpack oem or put down an extra 20k to get a Srt and convert it to a widebody whats the best value
