    He was phenomenal. He was fast, and he was a mismatch nightmare for defenses. He held all of the tight end records when he retired. If he was young and could still play today, I think he'd still dominate.

    My dad has had season tickets for over 30 years. As a kid, I went to the games and everyone had their #7 Elway jerseys. Getting my first jersey was a big deal to me back then, and I went with #84 Sharpe. I've loved that guy for practically my entire life.

    Terrell Davis is not talked about enough. Their first SB season he rushed for 1750 yards. The next season he rushed for 2008 yards. That team was electric! I loved watching them when I was a kid.

    This doc was phenomenal! Im 33 and knew he was great but had no idea of the journey! Everything from his brother playing in the NFL before him then breaking his neck then him winning his first SB with John Elway against (Brett Favre and) the team his brother would've still been playing for is deep. I also had no clue he was apart of the team that won The Ravens their first Super Bowl. Today we know him as 'Unc' but this was like learning about your real uncle's life when you were a kid lol...amazing

    I love Shannon Sharp! I don't think the Broncos win a Super Bowl without him. He was like having a third wide receiver in there, and no linebacker could cover him. Every team has to have a motor mouth and Shannon was it! But he always backed up his trash talk with stellar play and a likeable goofiness! Those 96'-98' teams were homegrown w/o much free agency. Rod Smith was undrafted, and Terrell Davis was a 6th rounder. Thank you Broncos!

    One thing i would like to see improved in these "how good was he really" videos (and this is acroos all channels) is more of how good they actually were. This was a good video but it seemed likenit was 90% Broncos history with some Shannon stats sprinkled in. I would like more of how he was measuring up compared to ther tight ends, who were the guys that could argue they were better than him at his position? What strenghts and weaknesses separated them? He was one of the first and best receiving tight ends in a time where tight ends were expected to block a lot, how did he measure up with receivers? Stuff like that

    Shannon Sharpe is one of the greatest TE's to ever play the game. As a Bronco fan that suffered through some tough seasons since the early 70's, it was Sharpe that was the most clutch player not named John Elway.

      Yeah, sometimes I think he's the best and then I remember watching guys like Tony Gonzalez, Antonio Gates and Mike Ditka, etc., etc.. I'm just being honest, I've been a Bronco fan for over 50 years but you have to recognize some of these other guys that played TE as well. Shannon Sharpe is definitely one of the best though.

    Going over 1000 yards as a TE was unheard of in the 90's. Shannon really changed the TE position from a third option to a primary one.

    When he retired he was the all time leader for a TE in TDs , Receptions , and receiving yards , he paved the way for TEs like Gonzalez, Gates, Gronk, Kelce etc , oh and he has 3 Super bowl rings with 2 teams and was a team captain for all 3 rings

    Yeah Shannon Sharpe was the greatest not only with his athletic ability but also an acrobatic tight end. His movements is as sharpe and smooth as a symphony and cascading waterfall. He is the greatest of all time.

    Shannon was a master at getting into the other teams head! Nobody talked trash like Shannon and backed it up! It was like the Incredible Hulk playing Tight end! I was Steelers fan who became huge fan of both Shannon and Sterling! Sterling was only just hitting his prime he was poetry in motion

    He was dependable and always clutch. He was always 1 of the guys you never had to worry about. He was always going to show up. Was never selfish. He always laid it out on the line for the team. He's my 3rd favorite Bronco of All-Time. He's the GOAT TE. The only thing I disagree with him is his LeBron takes. LOL!

    Good enough to be top 5 TE all time and good enough to change the way TE play and are covered for ever he diversified and changed the position of TE for ever so thank you Shannon for not only being the player your were but the person you are not gonna lie sports casting wouldn’t be the same without you to so thx uncle Shannon for everything you have done on and off the field.
