Lots of fast dudes that never get mentioned.
- Cliff Branch (WR) : Set the NCAA 100m dash record in 1972 in semi but used all his energy and finished 5th in the finals *Check his highlights with the Raiders*
- Curtis Dickey (RB): Won the NCAA 60 yard dash 3 years in a row (1978, 79, 80)
- Sam Graddy: 1984 US Olympic Silver Medalist in 100m. Member of 1984 4x100m that set the WR
- Ron Brown: 4th in 100m at 1984 Olympics. Member of the 4x100m that broke the World Record
- Michael Bates (KR): Won the Bronze Medal in the 200m at the 1992 Olympics
- Phillip Epps: #2 in the world in the 200m in 1992
There are 20-25 more worthy names.

@@sydboski He got PAID to be on the practice squad...hence he was an NFL player. FACTS.
Before O.J. Simpson was running from the cops, he was running away from NFL defenders.
Simpson was one of the fastest running backs ever to lace up a pair of cleats and gained over 12,100 yards from scrimmage in his time with the Buffalo Bills.
He was a lethal threat when the ball was handed to him, but Simpson was also a capable pass-catcher, with 175 receptions to his credit in his nine-year stint with Buffalo.
Simpson's legacy may be all but gone at this point, but once upon a time, few could hope to keep up with Simpson on the field.
I guess you could say he was a killer on the field

I think Lamar might be faster than Vick but Vick had mo bop sauce
I also think Lamar is faster not taking anything away for Vicks greatness tho
Same here
Vick said he was faster.
Darrell Green can probably run a sub 4.5 40 to this day
Running a 4.5 at 50 years old is crazy lol.
that was insane 😂😂😂
Bob Hayes was not the fastest Jim Hines played pro football and he was the first sub ten hundred meters runner held the record for fifteen years
So true!!
People lie but numbers don't! Nothing but facts here!
Bit of a stretch to sat Jim Hines played professional football. He spent the 1968 season on the Dolphins practice squad. He appeared in ten games with Miami in 1969, gaining a total of 52 all purpose yards. The fact that he was given the nickname “Oops” is a testament to his ability, or more accurately, lack of ability. He played in one game with the Chiefs in 1970 and has been ranked as the 10th. worst NFL player of all time.
Contrasting Hines NFL career with that of Bob Hayes is like comparing Mr. Ed to Secretariat. No wide receiver who actually had a real NFL career was faster than Bob Hayes.
@@georgesouthwick7000 How many games must you play in to be an NFL player? So because he was a bad football player means he shouldn't be counted? Do you hear what you are saying? And I quote, "He was 10 worst NFL player of all time". He was the 10 worst what? NFL PLAYER.
No one is contrasting Bob's career with Jim's. There is no comparison. Bob was HOF, Jim hall of shame. There is no doubt that Hayes was the vastly superior football player an Jim was a vastly inferior payer. But there is no doubt that both played in the NFL. lastly there is no doubt that Hines ran faster than Hayes. It's very simple. If you go by straight 100m times then Hayes at 10.06 is 5th all time in NFL among ALL players good or bad in NFL history. Behind Hines, Trindon Holliday 10.00, Jeff Demps 10.01, and Jacoby Ford 10.01. Dems da facts.
Faster then a speeding Bullet and that's Bullet Boh Hayes
My grandfather usta run against Bob Hayes during Olympic trials and College
Michaël Vic, also has one of the longest punts in NFL history. One of the greatest ever.
He once kicked a 65 yard field goal in warmups, into the wind, and it went out of the back of the stadium. Mathematicians at the game said it would’ve been good from 120 yards.
When he was a kid, he hit a home run over the fence, then, ran to the neighbor’s house, jumped in the air, and caught the ball, before it could shatter a window.
During a high school basketball game, he once dunked from behind the free throw line. It counted as 3 points, because he was well behind the 3 point line, when he left the ground. I forgot to mention, the free throw was on the other side of the court.
He once ran a marathon, and when he got to the finish line, the other runners hadn’t even started yet. He ran so fast, that he went back in time. He was an amazing athlete.
Polomalu never ran a 4.33. The fastest he clocked was a 4.40.
4.35
No mention of Raheem Mostert the only other player to break 23 mph on the field besides Hill and he a RB . On field speed is more important than a 40 yd dash with no pads
He's not faster than Hershel Walker. Hershel beat Darrell Green in the 100 yard dash but Darrell beat Herschel in the 60 yard dash.

@LionelLordOfTheThundercats I could imagine. Did Bo blow Herschel out or was it very close?
Bo Jackson is my favorite. Also the disrespect to the Kickers and Punters is insane.
Bo is nowhere near the fastest player in NFL history, let alone the fastest RB in NFL history. The facts: the fastest Bo ever ran a 100 meters was a 10.44. There were so many faster RBs that played in the NFL. Herschel Walker 10.23 being one of them.
What's sad is, my childhood hero is a liar. He keeps lying to the world about running a 4.13 40 yard dash electric time when, in fact, there was NO electric timing in the NFL in 1985.
Now Bo, being 225 lbs running a 10.44, is fast for football, but it's not the fastest time for a RB. Jeff Demps 10.01 holds that title for RBs. Check out the Dolphins RBs. They are ridiculously faster than Bo ever was. Raheem Mostert 10.28 & De'Von Achane 10.12. That's scary fast.
Bo knows embellishing & lying. Sad but true.
That wasn't a fake slide by Vick. He slipped.
Matt jones was a 4.38 TEas well

No you cannot teach speed. You can teach ways in increase speed.
@@sydboski is that not same thing you can practice and get faster. There is no practice or technic to get taller runners train to run faster and they do you can't train to be taller . Come on
@@paulgood2218 No one said you can train to get taller. Stop it. You cannot teach speed. You can teach techniques and some other things to get faster, but you have to already have the fast twitch muscles to get that turnover. That cannot be taught.
@@sydboskidude you can teach speed. First, ways to increase speed is teaching it second while you can’t increase the amount of fast twitch muscle fibers you sure can train them. Their trained in every fast and heavy exercise so sprints, jumping and weight training. You can increase tendon strength and elasticity and you can increase muscular strength and rate of force production. You can teach a faster squat a higher jump and quicker jump and a quicker muscle contraction. 22. Tyreek Hill 10.19
34. Deion Sanders 10.26
That's right, Herschel Walker was faster than Deion Sanders & so was Jamaal Charles 10.23 who was way faster than Bo Jackson. Now don't get me wrong, Bo was fast for football with his 10.44 & that combination with his size was incredible to watch but he wasn't as fast as people have been led to believe.
NFL fans are being fooled by the NFL with these bogus 40 yard dashes that make players seem faster or slower than they really are.
The facts are the facts.
Bo's time is considered unofficial. He never went to the combine.
Chris Johnson is the fastest running back in NFL History...100% FACTS🤔
NOT!!! CJ 10.66 100m best. Bo 10.44, Raheem Mostert 10.28, CJ Spiller 10.29
Jamaal Charles and Herschel Walker 10.23, Curtis Dickey 10.11, Jeff Demps 10.01 just off the top of my head.
Sydboski has a cj2k beef 😂. He all under my comments too.
@@SevenUP901 I do not have a CJ beef. I have an incorrect comments beef.
@@SevenUP901No he's schooling you on the facts. You can pretend if you want & continue believing things that aren't true. The fact is, a 10.66 is incredibly slow compared to let's say, the real fastest RB in NFL history, Jeff Demps 10.01.
But you both can pretend believing the myth hype jobs that the NFL sells you on, the facts are in the numbers. 10.01 is significantly faster than a 10.66.
1. Bo's 40 time is a hand time fluffed myth. He did not run a legitimate 4.13. 3.9 is humanly impossible. Christian Coleman the current 60m world record holder, 6th fastest human ever 9.76 100m, and the quickest starter in sprint history, ran 4.12 in an NFL style 40. There is no way in HELL Bo could run even with Coleman. Today's world class sprinters can't.
2. The 40 doesn't measure how fast the fastest players are. They are still accelerating at the 40yd mark. CJ2K was fast, but not the fastest at his position. Neither was Bo. Curtis Dickey, Jeff Demps, Sultan McCullough, Michael Bennett, Herschel Walker, Jamaal Charles and others are all faster than Bo and CJ. Race them goal line to goal line., they all smoke Bo and CJ.
3. Hayes ran 10.06 100m on dirt and cinders. Jim Hines (horrible football player) ran 10.03 on dirt and cinders and 9.95 on a newer all weather surface. On the newer surfaces, Trindon Holliday ran 10.00, Jeff Demps RB and Jacoby Ford 10.01, Ron Brown 10.06.
4. Vick would have issues beating RG3 and Lamar Jackson goal line to goal line.
5. 4.09 40 for Green is also a fluffed myth. There are other CB's, faster than Deion Sanders.
6. Troy is not the fastest safety to play the game. Rod Woodson was faster.
Cj2k
What about him?
@@sydboski I'm glad he made the list. He's literally the fastest RB the NFL combine eve seen. 4.24 40 time. Hope you're not trolling.
@@SevenUP901 Not trolling. Correcting He is not the fastest RB the combine has ever seen. The 40 does not measure how fast you are. It measures how quickly you can cover 40yds with a hand timed start. Hand timed starts can be off by up to 0.12- 0.15 seconds. It is only the finish that is laser. It you rally want to know who is the fastest, you need a longer distance that allows them to get to maximum velocity. The 100m does that. In the 100m.CJ's best is 10.66 compared to Jeff Demps at 10.01 a few more: Curtis Dickey 10.11, Michael Bennett 10.18, Herschel Walker 10.23, Jamaal Charles 10.23, Raheem Mostert 10.28, CJ Spiller 10.29, Warwick Dunn 10.31, Reggie Bush 10.42, Bo Jackson 10.44, and more.
@@sydboski Chris Johnson ran a 4.24 40. Official time. When he was drafted, teams were not using hand times as officials. I didn't comment "cj2k" do start a debate man. I know what I know & you know what you know. Good day sir. Have a positive & fulfilling Thursday mate
@@SevenUP901 Sorry but you don't know what you think you know. The NFL combine uses Semi Automatic Timing. It is Official, but that means the timer is started by hand and only stopped by laser. Feel free to look it up. There is no starter to start the race and the clock simultaneously. The runner starts whenever they want to and the timer hand starts the clock when he sees movement. You have a great day too.
vick aint faster than Lamar lol
Stop the cap
Well 4.33 is quicker than 4.34
