i HATE how applejack and rarity aren’t marketable enough, even though they’re just as popular. my favorite as a kid was applejack because she was the most relatable one for me, so it makes no sense that she has less merch than all of them

Both AJ and Rarity were my favorites as a kid (and still are, lol.) I can kind of understand how AJ isn't as marketable, but Rarity is literally a materialistic girly-girl... the show is marketed to girly-girls, and materialistic ones would want merch of their favorite show, so it makes zero sense why they don't have much merch for the ONE character those types of girls would relate to.
When I was a kid 70% of the toys I had of mlp were AJ, rarity and pinkie pie, the other figures I had were second hand collectibles or stuff my grandma brought me like a zecora eg doll
Brony made physical ponies are way better than what commercial puts out. The only reason Funko got popular is because they are of much more higher quality than those you see in regular toy stores plus they could produce it in larger quantities.
I don't get the Funko craze before, neither will I understand the current backlash either. All I know is that I wished they still made the vinyl versions. Those are peak commercial collectibles

It's a shame we didn't even get Starlight from season 5 in the HT line. I have every character, regular and variant. As a bonus, they're all signed except for those actors who didn't go to convention (Shining Armor, Spitfire, Trixie). I even have Cheese Sandwich signed. It makes my collection unique in the world

Here's something else: In the MLP Mystery Minis, they mainly sell the ponys in black. And we do get colored ones too, but here's one thing. We got black versions of each of the mains 6, and yet we had only 4 colored versions of the main 6. And those 2 that didn't get a colored versions are: You guessed it, AppleJack & Rarity.
They should at least make Rarity and Applejack Funko Pops and Princess Luna as well
I have a few MLP, Adventure Time and Looney Tunes Funkos. I think those series' character designs translate well.
I really like the designs of the MLP Funko Pops. I really hate the weirdly haphazard way they're released and the fact that instead of releasing a new wave of figures they released a wave of NF-f%#ing-Ts instead. Screw NFTs. You're a company that exists solely to sell physical collectables. Just sell the damn collectables!
With Applejack i don't think the show and the writers cared too much about her with how she's written at times in the show

Edit: oh yeah! They also had the minis in the tins and keychains… although they were essentially all remakes… there was a twilight with wings… would that be considered a new character? 😅

I'm guessing that G5 ones don't exist either. Doesn't surprise me, but you know, given the track record, I wouldn't be surprised if they made some, and Applejack was still missing from G4. And then even if they did make her, you know they'd spell her name Apple Jack. XD

It might have something to do with the fact that Applejack was originally a G1 character. Maybe Funko only bought the rights to "new" characters.
Wouldn't that mean Pinkie Pie, Rarity, and Twilight Sparkle shouldn't be released? Both Pinkie Pie and Rarity were from G3, originally Twilight (G1 name) existed before making the mother-daughter duo of Twilights Sparkle and Velvet

I am both MLP and Funko Pop collector, but I never liked ponies in Pop form. I only got Celestia, and only coz I found really good deal on local shopping app on her. The NFT Pops are a joke to me, worse sh than gambling.

AppleJack was my favorite growing up and I would sometimes notice how she'd be missing from certain things, like in a McDonald's line (thankfully, i got her in a different line a few years later) but as a kid, it made me really sad :( and i can imagine how many kids felt too, it's an awful feeling ;_;

The only mlp funko pop I have was a gift, and it’s Tempest Shadow. I am still blown away how they never even made a rarity or aj pop seeing how many collectors will go ahead and buy the whole collection meaning more money in their pockets. It just seems like a dumb idea, same with the sea ponies, even from a marketing standpoint it’s ridiculous.
2:01 Twilight Sparkle glitter is the only mlp Funko Pop I have. I couldn’t get my hands on the normal ones, because my country is very limited when it comes to stuff like this. I also can’t order stuff off of eBay because they don’t ship to my country
I would flip out and trigger Funko and go as far to cuss saying the f-word and point my middle finger at them if they don't come up with a Rarity figure, since Rarity is my second favorite after Pinkie Pie.

Mcdonalds also does this with their MLP toys, I would always buy them (back then) and everytime they release a MLP set, It's always: Fluttershy, Rainbow dash, Pinkie and Rarity. The last time i've ever seen Twilight was when she had an Equestria Girls toy and a Pony Toy and those were only once. While Applejack only had ONE toy i can recall...It was also equestria girls....And the only time i've ever seen a diffrent MLP pony have a McDonalds toy was Starlight.
(This was in the Philippines btw, So the toys were probably diffrent for you guys but yeah.)
You should do one even on the Macdie's happy meal toys. Every time but ONCE, they would cut out applejack and have starlight glimmer instead lol (she is my favorite tho not complaining) but it's like why not ADD APPLEJACK TOO FOR GOODNESS SAKE!

Personally I love the quality of Funko and how accurate they usually look to the real character design. Maybe the pops not so much because they are derpy and cheaper (and cute) but the proper figurines look great! (Imo)
Actually you missed one because there's a tempest Shadow Funko Pop too. And I have proof because I actually have it. Edit: I looked up My Little Pony Funko Pops and I realize there was also a Sunset Shimmer and Spike one
I have two MLP Funko POPs at the moment, a Twilight Seapony one and a retro G1 Minty. I did also used to have Tempest Shadow, Seapony Fluttershy and a set of 3 Mini POPs, which consisted of Rainbow Dash, Derpy & Discord.
Aside from POPs, I have Lyra, Bon Bon & Octavia as large Funko Vinyls and numerous Mystery Minis ponies, as I feel that these two ranges were vastly superior and more show-accurate than the POPs.
What bugs me about Funko POPs generally most of all, on top of the fact that you can’t tell who most of them are supposed to be, is that there are hundreds of thousands of them for every tiny insignificant character from any pop-culture thing you could imagine, yet they’re so deformed and have no features, and still people have HOARDS of these things in displays exactly like you see them displayed in shops!
If you like Funko POPs, then you carry on liking them, and I’m glad to see people enjoy something that I don’t, the world would be very boring if that was the way of things. But yeah, Funko POPs are a real enigma!
I think they’re really only good for getting them as lazy gifts for people if you don’t know what else to get them
I have the Spitfire and 4 first mlp funkos and I never questioned it until i had a look for the main 6, and that’s probably when I realised how utterly confusing it was. Until this day, i’m still looking for the main 6 for a cheap price. I just really want AJ and Rarity right now but so far, I haven’t found much luck. I feel like the world might actually explode if Apple Jack was made

I've never understood Funko Pops either, not just of MLP but all of them. If I want to buy a figurine, I want one that actually looks like who it's supposed to be instead of what looks like a cursed idol from a horror movie.

i have a lot of nostalgia for these tbh, i remember receiving the original twilight funko for christmas and my sister got pinkie, and when getting ready to move out for college, i managed to find both of them along with buying a lot online that had the fluttershy and trixie pops as well as the pinkie and trixie vinyls. ik funko gets a lot of hate, but it filled me with joy when getting new mlp stuff with my own money, although secondhand and probably filled with grime and dirt

@@EffMinus yeah, I was pretty lucky since I was able to get what Funko NFT collectors call a master set. Which means I got the grail, legendaries and royalty, I was able to get 2 masters set.
