I can tell just by the look in Laura's eyes, that sort of rivet design is definitely the adult version of Lego's. You see the instructions, you understand that it has to work, but really have no idea until you see the final product. That feeling of pride, seeing everything come together is unmistakable!
Reusing that cargo banding is brilliant. And I love the vertical pieces to raise the dome up. Well done as always Laura!
As always, seing you smile at a project coming together is the highlight of my week. I know the feeling - that grin moment is the best part of my own builds. Cheers Laura- thanks for sharing and Happy Sunday :)
You're a real hybrid. Part designer, part artist. These would also make great solar powered light domes and would look terrific in clumps in a large garden at night.
Excellent! I am often amazed at your ability to make seemingly unsuitable materials work out well, and this is one of those examples. I mean, that looked like thin metal pallet-bundle strapping?!?! You never fail to inspire. I hate using emojis but: 😀
Your videos are full of the deep joy that comes from making something on your own.
The aestethics of your videos is magic
Loving the linen press in the background! Got the chance to restore one of them the other week - an amazing piece of furniture. Can’t wait to see the tiny trailer completely finished
And I hope your plants grow happy ! Smudo the best . Thank you Laura !
Maybe it's the first time we see you without cap.
I like to see your smile when you finish a work.
I like your style.
Thank you for all.
Stay the same.
Wow, brilliant! A classical Laura project. A piece of art, made out of scraps. I love it.
I am geodesic worker and I make objects with trash and other resources too! Congratulations! You are fantastic! A big hug from Brasil!!
What a fantastic little greenhouse! And the music was a welcome relief from the techno-electronic you hear in all videos across YT.
I don't need to find words, I'll just point people towards your smile...says it all!
So true. Laura was grinning the entire time.
Yes. That smile speaks volumes.
C♥️☺️
Laura, Another sketch idea, to searching for materials, measuring and cutting, to assembly, and finally to fruition. You are amazing!
Thanks for sharing, Felix
This project is AMAZING! and so are you. I love your smile & the way your face lights up when a project is finished.
I can't believe it! I've had one of these in my notebook since i saw the camping domes
A sense of wonder, shop, tools, imagination and a good dog. What could be better? Love your videos.
Very cool build! The use of the rivets to keep everything in place for the original layout was really smart!! Great job Laura!
You should write sweep floor on the broom.
Wow, best geodesic dome ever! Buckminster would have been proud. I really thought that you were going to make the wooden base into a turntable, it even had the axle mounting point right there.
Laura, I love watching the enthusiasm on your face as you're building. Nice looking dome! It turned out very sturdy!
Whoa, band strapping - what a cool idea!!!!
Firstly, great tunes! And secondly, great build! I could feel the excitement at every step. Hoping to see more cool "Green" builds! Really enjoyed it!
Cool transformation, you have the best trash selection.
I agree... the best thing of your projects is your smile when you see it done!!
I know I'm echoing what is already being said in the comments, but I saw the original state you found this stuff in on your IG stories. That you had the creativity to visualize this end result is just astonishing. Let alone being able to make it. You never ceases to amaze me.
Need a dome for a small fig tree. Thanks Laura. That dome was solid BEFORE the glass went in.....WAY Cool.
Your notes at 0:46 made me look up ISRU, and now I'm reading about NASA's Artemis project to return to the moon. Thanks for the rabbit hole! :D
This came out so cool! And you found a use for metal straps! Love it!
I find it so amazing that you can see these things out in the world and put them together in a couple of days! (And edit a video together!)
Love the space age feet you gave it too! 😊👍
Nice Project! Reusing trash to make something useful is something the world needs to do more of
I can't find words to express how amazed I am. So fabulous!
You really can’t make a bad video. Love everything you do. Absolutely amazing. Well done and thank you
I love everything about this. Everything.
Thank God you use your creative genius for good. Excellent as always, Laura.
Wonderful construction! The shape and the materials are a great combination! 👌🏼👏🏼 And a very cool and chill video again! :)
Absolutely brilliant, beautiful, and inspiring work! Totally a Vintage Laura video here. Love getting right into the action!!!!
What a cool project and what a totally awesome use of recycled material. You are so creative.
The look on your face when you neared completion of the dome is priceless. I love the joy that you exhibit when you create. You show a true passion for your work. Stay safe.
Brilliant! I love this. From trash to treasure. Reuse, repurpose, recycle!
Brilliant. I've made geodesic domes, I've made greenhouses, I've tried to upcycle metal pallet straps, but I never came up with this idea. It's so obvious it's genius. I feel like I've just seen the wheel for the first time.
I think this is one of the coolest things I have seen you build, You are an amazing maker! Congrats!
Love how Smudo stands guard next to you at all times :) Life goals right there -- doggo, partner, shop, freedom :)
I like the nail and glass break trick. Keep up the great work! I appreciate the time you have put in to making these videos.
I pictured that going somewhere in the horse box camper as a window. Like an R2D2 head kind of... I really liked it and i thought it was very hard to do, but watching this makes me wanna build my own r2d2 window.
What I most like is your expression of utter joy as you see it come together!
Once again, awesomeness all around Laura!!!
Your smile is all the words this needs 👍
What german school did you steal that giant Geodreieck from xD Seeing that made me really nostalgic

I love this project. Buckminster Fuller is credited with popularizing geodesic domes (and the name), although he did not build the first one. When I was a young boy, Fuller came to give a lecture in Dallas. I remember playing on the large geodesic dome that was set up in his honor.
It's so satisfying when it starts coming together, right!? We built a 15' diameter one a few years back using emt conduit and a several-tonne press to flatten an bend all the ends. It served as a tea temple at Arise festival for 3 years.
Sitting here in Orlando with the biggest smile on my face at this wonderful project and the mind and talent that brought it all together.
That's a LOT of work. Fantastic result. Brilliant.
Such joy!
Be well, be safe, and take good care!
Laura, Buckminster Fuller would have been proud!
Wow, diesmal hast du dich selbst übertroffen! Gefällt mir suuuuuper!
This was awesome. I love all the variety of your project. But also, the building upon your projects, like the Trailer.
Just Wow! The coolest greenhouse I’ve ever seen!
I love everything you do Ms Laura, but this one was particularly brilliant!
Awesome and fun to watch! You put a smile on my face! Thank you.
Great video! Your videos always feel like short films to me, I love it. Good job!
Yet another supreme idea that became a uniquely practical reality.
Very well done, Laura 👍
I really enjoy your videos because you always make something amazing, you are happy while you work, and the music is always upbeat. Thank you.
I love this! Good job, Laura!
This was super cool, and I love the music, too!
Ich bin sprachlos ! Es ist genial ! Beautiful and so well thought. Bravo
Wow. You have a lot of work into this project. Great job. I love it
That moment when your inner child realizes is still there with a little extra genius... and you smile.
Wow! How magnificent & fabulous in thought, execution & economy of materials, brilliant. I have for some time thought to built a structure to house my telescope & this gives me some practical ideas. Thank you for sharing!
This is so creative and beautiful! Wow!!
Another great 👍 project Laura as always and made from spare parts and odds and sods that were lying around !!!!.
This is just genius ❤️
looks like it took forever, now it is obvious Art aaand useful. I love it!
Superb build as always using trash to treasure so to speak. Nothing is too hard for you. Love it 🙂
That is amazing! So cool . Thank you
Brilliant idea and result! Congratulations :)
I always forget about my riveter. This was a great use of it.
Really cool. Nice job. You are a talent!
Holy cow that is awesome!
Great premiere, interesting idea. Thanks again
Amazing Laura
Genial como siempre !! Saludos desde Argentina !
Fantastic work. God bless you 🙏
Cool! Looks great, and what's more: Finally a film without Festool commercial!
Wow! So cool!
That is great, looks really cool. It looked heavy though.
Laura when you picked up the strips of riveted tin and it hung down i thought at that very moment that you was going to change your design and make an umbrella 🌂 in the same way!!! 💯% 👍🇬🇧
Another super cool idea!
That looks amazing! If I can bring up the courage (and find the time) I might have a go at this. I love geodesic domes, but it never occurred to me that I could do a smaller one.
Great project !
Buckminster fuller would be proud. Great video and I loved the music too!
GENIAL... LAURA!!! 💪💪💪
I love the re-use of metal strapping!
Smudo looks super interested in the some, or maybe more in the lizards running around it
Laura! Bless your heat! That one was a LOT of work. Good Job!
Those light reflectors as stands, brilliant. It looks like the dome on Tesla''s Wardenclyffe Tower! or maybe an Edwardian Space Capsule.
Incredible!!
Genial idea, I love it
So dope! That would look amazing in any garden or on the surface of Mars! Love it!
Just when I thought this had yet to be done the tube algo nudges me here 😵🥳🤠
What a piece of work!!! But you should prepare some more glass as means to close the open parts. Otherwise your greenhouse wont keep heat overnight when it cools down in a few weeks.
