I've had the Water Furnace for 26 years and you were the first to explain the DHW so I can understand, thank you!

So is the water circuit and refrigerant circle inside each other, I haven't figured out how you keep the 2 separate

Thanks for the great clear explanation! How do these usually fail and what is the root cause of leaks like that usually? I’m new to this stuff and want know how to do things right with the least amount of maintenance.

    How does a desuperheater work?

I have a desuperheater but haven’t been using it during the winter because it takes away from the heat of the refrigerant going to the coil. I am skeptical that there is much benefit to it during the summer with my single water heater setup. The dual tank setup in this vid makes more sense, but is it really more efficient than a standalone hybrid water heater? Thoughts?

The heat provided is a bi-product of the use of the GEO unit, so I would say it's efficient.

Thanks for the great video, TD. How can I get your geothermal guide? I am considering it for my new home build.

I have a question on the domestic hot water hook ups...I believe mine is backwards. My domestic cold supply goes in to the "out" on the Geothermal unit. The "in" on the Geothermal goes to the bottom of the tank drain. Is this right?

I'd have to see it to know for sure my friend

Mine is too. Evidently that is to keep from pulling water heater sediment into the desuperheater, according to my installer.
