------ - Hry
It would have been a perfect price and time for a volunteer rework to be included with this
I expected at least all of south america in this DLC
I enjoyed the DLC, since I have played in South America more times than a sane person should
Road to 56 do all of this for all continent for free, paradox overpriced dlc are ridicolous
You are exactly right, this DLC is a moneygrab and nothing else.
Tfw a free mod (En Union y Libertad) makes a way better job than a dlc made by a company that earns god knows how much money
That mod sucks. Its bloated, slow and completely vanilla unfriendly.
@@emanu1674yeah I don’t get why people glaze that mod so hard, the trees are way too big
Don't listen to these guys above. They very probably don't know to play or their PCs are bad to run the game.
@@Eldesmentidordecreepypastas oh my pc runs the game till 1950 fine, the trees are just way too bloated, there’s fun stuff but they’re over the top. People are allowed opinions you realise
@@GrimDoesMineCraft Good for you.
I'm tired of paradox simps like that emanu1674 who literally defend a multimillonarie company with crying. You can see what am I talking about in this comment box.
95% of the cost of the main DLCs I pay exclusively for the mechanics. Not only is this mechanic-less, and not only are these focus trees not even better than modded trees you can get, but it's content for south america, a continent many hoi4 players remove because of the lag it causes end-game for nations with zero impact on the war. At best this is a waste of money, at worst you're actively downgrading your experience by buying it.
Only way to fix it now… is to add more focus trees to other nations within it, like for some Middle East countries and more of South Asia.
What's bothering me is that It's the same price as Together for Victory (at least in my currency) and it adds no new mechanics.
I can install R56 for free.
bought it 10th of February, just asked for a refund explaining that's too high a price for such minor content, will see
Worked, just got refunded on my steam account
I bought the dlc and im prety much happy with it, the mechanics are cool, focus trees are fun and not complicated. I get the point that the dlc battle for bosporus fas cheaper, but.. its ten times worse, turkey focus tree is avsolutely horrible, i can see my self in the future playing brazil, then a bulgaria or greece, and TOA wasnt only 3 focus trees but 5 (2 minor ones) that are still bigger then new zealnds xd
10 times worse? Nah bro. I dont like both DLCs but Battle for the Bosporus was wat better and it was made few years ago
I love your gameplay. I cant wait for a new series. I can imagine some Achievement hunting with your precision and commentary :-).
All HOI4 DLC is shovelware.
Vote with your wallet, it worked for Total War Warhammer 3. They released a barebones money grab of a DLC for 25 €/$, people boycotted it and made their voices heard that it wasn't worth the price (especially for how buggy the base game was), so after a few months they got back to actually patching the game and added new content for free to said DLC. They also delayed the next one, hopefully because of a lesson learned.
Voting with your wallet almost never works. People have been saying this shit about paradox DLC for decades, but at the end of the day profit is the only motive, and not enough people are tuned in to the community to make a substantial impact with this “vote”
@@jacksonjabba you can get the dlcs for free in russian websites for the steam game , only paradrone npcs waste money on paradox games
As someone who doesn't mod much, eh, it's more focus trees.
The new haircut suits you!
you're essentially just paying for more achievements
Well - that saved me a few greenbacks then. Holy smokes!
As Chilean I'm happy
I am from Brazil
I loved everything when I saw the teasers, but being honest. it is not worth the price since it is filled with bugs and now the game is running slow (still better the battle of bosporus)
I mean it did just come out but idk feel like they could have done a little better with bugs
Life is measured by depth not distance. I may be "new" to HOI4 but, I've been around the block (more than twice). Also being a seasoned American, I'm not inherently averse to an obvious cash grab; emphasis on obvious. P should have known their customers would check the details. Who do they think we are, EA customers?
En Union y Libertad mod has more content than this DLC fraud.
Shame on you Paradox.
But that mod is too bloated, it´s not really that good. Just mashing in focuses does not make the focus tree a good one. But this DLC is almost going in the opposite direction. The Argentine one is small, Uruguay and Paraguay are half focus trees. It´s not good.
That mod sucks. Its bloated, slow and completely vanilla unfriendly.
third worlders attacking the mod because they spent their wage on this robbery of a dlc
@@pedropedro1 third worlders attacking the dlc because they cant afford it*
@@tuff9486 give me one case
i bought the DLC and i absolutely love it
It's been buyer beware for any Paradox DLC content for a decade. Sometimes it's well conceived mechanics additions, changes, and flavor, sometimes it's just stealing a small amount of modder content and selling it for $20 CAD.
I dont understand why anyone is upset about this. It is a DLC pack for a part of the world that wasnt extremely involved in WW2. It is mainly there for peopoe who are interested in doing some alt history shenanigans in south america have real focus trees to play with. If the region doesnt interest you, dont buy it. If you feel like its overpriced but want it, wait for a sale.
The issue is exactly as you implied. Most people believe that the price isn't justified and would rather either not buy it or wait for a discount. Of course people are going to complain if a large company took months to create and charge no minor sum for sub par content. Don't get me wrong, I love the DLC. But I definitely see why it's bad. All the countries copy at least a part of 1 of the others focus tree. Not to mention it is LITERALLY only a focus tree update with a skin or two that nobody cares about. I could buy 21 cans of coke or 5 full meals with the price of this DLC in my currency. They should either add, update, improve a mechanic such as the volunteer mechanic which was mentioned by someone else, add a better, more comprehensive list of alt historicals, or simply charge what it is worth. Which is less
@s.c.p-foundation6923 I just don't get the complaints where people are actually angry. The DLC isn't locking new mechanics behind a paywall, it is just focus trees for countries that very few people play anyways. I can certainly understand the value in explaining what the focus trees are in detail (which I believe paradox did in detail), but anyone implying the DLC is bad because it is nore expensive than some DLCs but cheaper than other DLCs is just strange to me. With your comparison to food, this is an entertainment product that will likely provide at least 10 hours of entertainment. That makes it comparable to 5 movie tickets (assuming 2 hour movies) but is cheaper than a movie ticket at least in my country. Bang for buck, this is a much better buy. Comparing it to food is a bit silly because food is a necessity of life, whereas this is an entirely voluntary option to a game that is completely functional without its inclusion. This entire video and the outrage surrounding the DLC could be summed up as "its a bit more expensive than other pure focus tree DLCs, so if you don't think that's worth the price of admission, wait for a sale". Any anger is entirely misdirected.
@@VictoryOTP_ Sorry for the misunderstanding. My comparison with food is more to show the price of the DLC in my currency rather than anything else. The reason people are mad can be summed up as why the Minecraft community went on a crusade against Mojang a month or so back. Quality control. Mojang gives every update for free so why were people mad? Because they were sub par and can be seen as lazy. It isn't about how high the price itself is but what the product itself is too. I pre-ordered the DLC and was not disappointed with it personally but when a majority of the community can sum a DLC up as "Just buy it when it's on discount because it isn't worth the money" then you have simply produced a shit DLC and your mostly loyal yet critical player base doesn't even want to support you. Many hoi4 players spend thousands of hours into this game so it is no overstatement to call them loyal. So to hype up a South American DLC only to not add a proper focus tree (reoccurring focusses in all the trees), let alone for every South American country, for a relatively high price, is worthy of criticism imo.
Imagine paying for it and not pirating the game 🥱
I always thought you were an Aussie and now you use pounds. Might need to get my ears checked 😂
well damn
Everyone: OMG This DLC is AWESOME! Finally South America is INTERESTING!
This random guy with half a dozen of cult followers: Nah it sucks trust me bro 🤓🤓
Well. I suppose Steam reviews are multi accounts from that random guy.
Don't make us laugh, Paradox simp
I enjoyed playing brazil, I still hate the dlc tho because they left out the rest of south america, its still 100% better than death or dishonor. Tho its worth to mention that I use subscription, so I did not pay full price to play.
