Sounds really good. My 340 is stage1 with a stock dp. If I changed my intake would I need to let more air out such as changing my downpipe to a less restrictive one? Thanks
it would help with power if you wanted to go stage 2 otherwise no definitely not necessary

Wondering why your box doesnt have a hole for the cts pipe. Instead of the huge square opening i have a hole my pipe fits through keeping the astthetics tight. My pipe is also longer with 2 bends.. so weird it should be the same for the 340 as the 440 wish could post pics in here. The 440i set up of this intake looks more asthetically pleasing.
What exhaust do you have on there? That's not the stock exhaust popping like that, is it?
Stock exhaust I just have a VRSF catless downpipe and tuned with bootmod3
@@Metoy3r ahhh nice. I just traded in my JCW Mini with agency power intake, racing dynamics downpipe and JCW exhaust, nm engineering tune.... missssss those pops. I have to wait until March 22 after inspection to get the downpipe on my m240i. Loved the mini but this thing is a different beast... it's just sooo quiet right now. Cant wait to hear the turbo!

Why check engine? Are there problems with the filter?
Apparently it’s just a common issue with this intake. Idk if it’s sucking in too much warm air or what the case is, I’ll have to look into it

Map's are usually found on older cars, it stands for manifold are pressure - with MAP you measure the air pressure in the manifold, with MAF you measure the volume of air passing through the sensor :)
It sounded like you kept saying "MAP sensor" instead of MAF.

How much hp gain?
Stock BMW air box performs very well. Aftermarket intakes on BMW are usually for sound. No noticeable HP gain. I’d have to get on a dyno to see if it increased

I succeeded! The trick is.... It has 5 doors, a hatchback boot, estate length space when the rear seats are folded and isofix mounting for baby in the back :) Good luck!
