This home has to be one of the 3 best design and decorated homes I've seen on your channel in the past two years I've been a viewer. Bob's best assets, when it comes to his home, are his great eye and his ability to see what something can be and see past what it currently is. Everything is wonderful and works so well together. I noticed (beyond the antiques, artwork, collections, architecture, and furniture) the drapes. They are so beautiful and are like architectural details and/or sculptural details. Thanks for the tour!

Such a nice post. The drapes are one of the "rules" I talk about breaking. They aren't operational (don't close), so a real designer would scoff at them, however, for me, their like the eyebrows on your windows. lol. Bob

Needlepoint is a work of art as are those chairs! Your collections, your art, your amazing choice of colors …. Oh I could go on. What a treat to tour this home. The attention and intention to detail is amazing. The displays of the collections are well integrated into the home. The thrill for me was seeing the eight (8) original Donald Roller Wilson paintings! I collect his work too. Never explain or apologize for a passion.

This is such a lovely home. I appreciate the detail of the subtle color shifts in each area - it gives slight variation to give each room its own personality, yet it still allows the rooms to flow one into another. The collections and paintings are exquisite, and the furniture doesn’t detract from all the unique pieces that are thoughtfully placed around the room. I would enjoy seeing the garden in another season. ❤

The exterior of your home reminds me very much of my in-law's home in Columbus, GA. It remained a two bedroom one bath over the years, but it was beautifully decorated. When we would visit I loved going from room to room just taking in the beauty of it all. After their deaths the home was sold to a couple who did an ultra modern remodle and it just did not fit. I love your home and the thoughtfulness that has gone into the extensions.

I understand you. One of the first things I just bought me as a divorce present is a 85' TV for my living room.
It's massive! And guess what? I like the fact that look like a TV set because, it's a bloody TV set, right? Marble table , the right pictures, plants around. No one cares is just a big screen that I hope at least another 15 years as the previous one 😂.
Only downside? The kids are playing the bloody PlayStation all day and there isn't any time spare time for me to watch the news 😅.

This exquisitely decorated and fine home is very close to my style. I love metals esp. gold with the neutral wall colors; the small piano room with violet and green hues and white or ivory lamps and pieces of art grounded in black. And I see to not shy away from the low lighting and to add more gold.

So glad it doesn’t look like a stuffing mixture of fabrics and items like gramma threw up everywhere. Don’t know a kinder way of saying that. His home is a museum from floor to ceiling. Alas so glad what he said about the television. It’s not a home without one. I hate the way designers talk about the presence of a tv as a item of shame. Where did that originate? I also purchased an older Home-a Colonial Revival and my front door opens directly onto my Living Room too! It is my least favorite aspect of the Home I own and Love profoundly.
