okay my pet peeves about eyeshadow pallets: 1) when they are circular 2) when the pallet is huge but the actual eyeshadow pans are SO SMALL 3) when the pans are all different sizes

Naked Heat palette has a great quality and it has beautiful colors and perfect pigmentation.
Ya, but you cannot do much with it. All the colors create practically the same look, and is not good for everyday.
Argelia Rivera I have really dark brown almost black if not black irises so this palette combined with my warm skin undertone makes me look like Iâm sick. I think someone with a cool skin undertone and/or lighter colored eyes might rock this better.
I think it would be beautiful with blue eyes especially with red hair
I have green/blue eyes with ash blonde hair and very pale skin, warm tones suit me even tho I'm super pale but have very olive undertones. I think its personal preference but no one can deny how good the quality is

I do think the naked heat is veeeeery red heavy and your right if red isn't your thing then its useless. I personally love it! one of my favs :)

I love it too, along with the Tartelette toasted palette, you can create amazing looks with those two palettes combined

Everyday Starlet I disagree tbh. I absolutely hate the round tarte pallets. They drive me NUTS. đ
They're so hard to store if you don't store them flat :/
I prefer videos like this over full collection ones. All the blushes can be overwhelming, having it divided into: DonÂŽt purchase or Highly Recommended helps me keep up.

The naked heat palette is one of my absolute favourites. Itâs funny how makeup works different on different people. Itâs a pigmented and easy to blend palette so if you like warm tones shadows itâs definetly worth it imo
I think the warm pallets work really well on warm skin tones... shes just too pale for it

@@melodieblais2848 how funny. The lightest shades of foundation are usually still too dark for me, but red suits me very well. Well, now it does. It used to make me look sick, but now I love my reds and oranges đ Amazing how different we all are, but also change over time, isn't it? đ
it isn't so much abt how light or dark the skin is and more abt undertones, if you have a warmer undertone you'll probably love the palette a lot more than someone with a cool undertone...
my biggest eyeshadow palette pet peeve: when the eyeshadow pans are triangle shaped/star shaped or something like that đđ
If and eyeshadow is in an unusual shaped pan I always assume the quality is bad. đ
The circle palettes are annoying, but you know what's even worse? Triangular palettes. Soooo impractical. *glances at the Alchemist palette*

Melissa Jane the shadows are great! I Just can't stand the packaging. Besides the fact that the triangular packaging really annoys me because of said reason, I don't like that the palette is made of cheap cardboard. For the price, you would expect something a little more high quality. Also, the shadows are quite powdery and the inner black cardboard has this weird porous texture that absorbs all of the kickback and powder and it looks like a big mess after one use. Trying to clean it only makes the mess worse. And if all of that wasn't enough, the shadows are very gentle and the thin crappy cardboard doesn't give any protection. If you drop the palette, the shadows are most likely going to break. (Some of mine did.)
Again, I love the shadows, I just can't with the packaging.

Along with circular palettes, I hate palettes that waste space. Like that makeup forever glitter palette. WHY MAKE IT SO BIG. Either condense it or fill the space!
Katie Seier: that's exactly my thoughts with a lot of the palettes out there...Becca's circular palettes being the worst! Not only because of the space/clunky/unnecessary size for storage purposes, but also because it makes me feel like brands are trying to trick us/rip us off by making it look like we are getting more product than we really are. The amount of product in that Becca palette is miniscule, but it's like they packaged it to make it look and feel like more of a substantial palette. :-(

Kind of same... But if the shape impedes my ability to,use the palette, take it with me, or store then I pass on it. For instance that's why i dont buy singles. It's just too much for me to deal with.

I wouldn't get rid of a palette just because it doesn't have any mattes. I usually use two different palettes to create a look. Just take another palette for the transitions, no need to get rid of anything đ but that's just me đź

But when you receive pr packages, when you buy a whole lot of make up to review it etc... i guess you donât need to keep an uncomplete palette,when they are so many that actually are complete and variate!
Totally agree, but I guess when you have a make up collection as big as Tati you need to be a bit more selective xD
thewelcometochannel I think if you had a billion palettes and you can be picky about them that's why she says that. I know that she was poor for a long long time and to her if you buy a full palette it needs to have it all because most people can't afford to buy more than one for many years.
I agree, but also, if you're not super into glitter or metallic eyeshadows, and you get a palette with the thought that it might have mattes (because we all know that product descriptions and pictures can be misleading/vague), then I could see getting rid of it once you realize. It is also easier to get a palette with all the colors you need if you do a lot of travelling and don't have a giant makeup bag.
Maybe itâs just me but I hate stripe (layout) eyeshadow! e.g urban decay palettes

Iâm not really into makeup and often have to ask for advice .Iâm very fortunate to have many friends who are practically experts and they all say the same thing, that the Urban Decay eyeshadows are extremely overrated.

The way you like matte and nuetral colors is the way women of deeper olive skin, Latin and Afro Americans like "The Naked Heat" palette. Purely preference and what becomes your complexion. Those are good quality pallettes. Title is very misleading... Perhaps the title should be, "Spring Cleaning My Make Up Drawers"or "What doesn't work for me."
Voice of truth exactly! The reason why I love Naked Heat is because all the colors are beautiful ( but on a person with darker skin tones ) . On a person with light skin tones you look way too red . My friend says the same thing . It has to go with your skin tone!
Iâm a woman of color and I hate the Naked Heat... itâs too dusty for me and I have red undertones that only work with vivid warm colors so I donât think you can generalize ethnicities because it works for you... also... any video you ever watch is just the opinion of that particular influencer. If you donât agree, so be it.
Iâm as white as a snowflake and i love the naked heat palette lol. I also have the naked 2 which i think is meh because of the lack of pigment but i feel like theyâve stepped up their game so much with the heat palette.

I would think Naked Heat would make blue eyes pop. Opposite colors on the color wheel makes your eyes pop. But I can see these colors would look beautiful on darker skin tones as well.
When you give specific instances on why you donât like I product (example when you talked about how you looked when you wore the naked heat pallet) I think it would be super helpful if you inserted a thumbnail of how it looked so we can see and think comparatively based on the visual! That would bring these videos to new levels!
Next I'd like to see a video like, "This is the ONE palette I'd buy for ___" Neutrals (high-end and drugstore), Grays (high-end & d/s), Warm tones (h-e, d/s), All Shimmers.....you get the idea.
I agree with this! It's good to have both views of high end and drugstore and the best palettes from those in order to fit all audiences :)

i looooooove my naked heat palette it looks so good against my neutral skin and brown eyes đ if you have these similar features i recommend
I love the naked heat palette. I have no issues with fallout or muddiness. It has a really great texture and I don't notice powderiness in shades but probably since I'm so pale. I do think a couple of the colors could be switched out for something a little different since some shades are quite similar but overall I think it's a really good palette for any warm tones lover.
EDIT: yes I realize Tati didn't say any bad things about the naked heat palette in this video, only that the colors just didn't work for her. That is understandable as I've gone through the same thing. I just don't want people to see the title of the video and think that the palette is just bad. Plus, many people in the comments were saying they didn't like it because it didn't perform well (which was not at all the case for me and many many others). I just think it's a wonderful palette and don't want people who were thinking about getting it to be dismayed! I can understand gripes with the price- I do think it is an expensive palette. But just as any other high end makeup items, only buy them if you can afford them! If you can't go with some Colourpop (btw the yes please palette is a good warm toned palette but not at all a dupe for the naked heat palette) or drugstore makeup instead!~

My issue with it is I much prefer my $16 yes please pallete from colourpop, which has more different shades than heat and has really pretty shimmers, so even though the heat was pretty I couldn't justify how much it cost

Generally for the past 5 years that I have followed Tati, I have found that anything she does/ does not like is something that I will agree with when it comes to quality. We have the same taste! If she says its great, most likely its great! I always trust what she has to say 100%, and the fact that she is so true to everything she does is just icing on the cake, and her personality is so genuine. We want declutter videos where you show us your blush collection, bronzers, highlighters, concealers etc in a different video.. make it a series
She did have a series called makeup graveyard and the videos didnât do nearly as well, so generally, people donât want them. I enjoyed the makeup graveyard too, but sheâs not going to waste her daily uploads on videos that arenât getting views.

Itâs confusing when you judge a palette based on the shades because they donât fit you, I want to know if itâs worth the money as in is it good quality etc, but maybe thatâs just me đ€
Nia L I own the Naked Heat. I personally like it, the shades are a little powdery. There is good pigment. Some shades have a lot of fallout. Some shades just blend together and can get a bit muddy. But overall, if the shades appeal to you, I say go for it
I also own the Naked Heat, and for me works wonderfully. Donât know what is it cause I like warm colors but itâs not like Iâm a super fan obsessed with them. In terms of performance they blend like butter, theyâre perfect for a smoky eye, but 1 or 2 of the shades have fall out, so overall I really like the palette, specially those duo chrome tones it has. Perfect shades for summertime and autumnâ„ïž

definitely! i understand she has her own shade preferences, but i felt the Naked heat palette was put in misleadingly with the topic of the vid (since she mentioned they arenât bad quality too)
That helps those that have similar coloring and preferences to her. Ex: If she says a color washed her out, and your skin tone is like hers, that's good information
I really like the decluttering videos where you go through your whole collection of blushes and you swatch some here and there and are like "wow I forgot I had these" or "ew why do i still have these?" type of videos!
Pet peeve with eye shadow pallets 1: when the pallet is so big but the product pan is so small 2: OVERPRICED 3: pans are different sized pans 4: fall out and not a lot of pigment 5: wasting space
I feel like you should call this a âClear outâ or âdeclutterâ because you said some of them just didnât suit YOU personally not that they were awful. The palettes might be amazing on others. And also why do we NEED a transition in EVERY palette when we already own hundreds of transition shades??

But there are palettes out there that suit everybody's taste. There are palettes for people who want just one with matte transitions, shimmers all that good stuff or instead for people which wants to own more. For enxample I am the kind of person which love to keep everithyng separate. Neutrals and mattes in a palette, colors mattes in another, the same for shimmers.

But Tati herself and many if not all of her followers own at least one eyeshadow palette with matte transitions in it, for example the 350/2/M or Modern Renaissance so do we really need all-in-one palettes in 2018 and why are we bashing everything that doesnât conform to that?? When you make a video about âsave your moneyâ is because the palettes are bad quality! But why is the naked palette in this video? That palette is a great palette. The quality is amazing! Maybe you should film a video about palettes that doesnât work on yourself such a different thing! I think is not fair with the palette and the brand! It confuse people.

people click on this video because people honestly want to know her opinion on whatâs worth it or not. i trust her opinion, but i personally have the heat palette and itâs great. most of this video was just little pet peeves of what she doesnât like. that doesnât mean itâs not worth your money. this comment wasnât in anyway an attack on Tati so i really donât understand why you got so defensive. her title was misleading end of story.

I donât mind a pallet with all shimmers cause I have lots of matte shades. I use multiple pallets when I do my makeup but thatâs just me:)
I donât see a problem with palettes that donât have matte neutrals, especially if you have a hundred palettes! They can just be all fun and bright glitter or whatever because you already have palettes with all of the neutrals you need to make a full look. For example if you have a lot of KVD palettes you get the black and white and neutral brown in nearly every palette but wouldnât it be better to just have the shade and light eye palette but then all of the other palettes have more fun and different colours to use alongside your neutrals. I donât know if this makes sense but please tell me if you have a different opinion xx

Oh my goodness, Tati isnât saying you have to dislike everything she dislikes. Sheâs just sharing her personal opinions because people like her and find it interesting. If she doesnât like a pallet just because of the colors, sheâs allowed to say so
Elisa Huffman I think her audience is smart enough to know when they agree with Tati and wonât buy the product and when they donât agree. If youâre like Tati and like a mix of colours then take note! But if you donât agree then maybe check these palettes out for yourself and then come to a conclusion.
I know I mean come on people surely you're not that easily led that you're only going to buy palettes Tati likes. Do your own swatching research etc. Everyone looks for different things from an eyeshadow palette. Tati isn't the head of the council for eyeshadow I mean let's not be sheepđ

Agree, but her title is wrong. It should be something like "Palettes I'm getting rid off" or "Not worth it for me" but by saying the palettes aren't worth it and save your money, she is basically saying people shouldn't buy it.
I actually really like the BECCA palette, because if I travel, I take it as a highlighter topper. I mainly use it for the inner corner too. I know itâs bulky, but I love the mirror in it, itâs a great size! But I pretty much agree with the rest! đđ except for the naked heat! I love that palette so much!
That Becca palette is beautiful! I love it so much as it is subtle and it doesn't make you look overdone.
I love Tati's vids and agree 90% of the time, so don't take this as a criticism :) But I would say that when I see her disavowing palettes because they don't include a neutral matte, or on the other hand, a really bright colour, I do wonder whether or not she should consider that most people have other makeup (and other neutral shadows) to mix with their palettes. So although it's worth noting that a palette might not have a neutral shade, it would be nice to consider that for a lot of people, that wouldn't be such a problem~ I guess I'm trying to say that if you were trapped on a desert island and could only bring one palette, then Tati's reviews would be perfect. But most of the time, we can use our other shadows to make a complete look - so a palette missing one or two "perfect" or "necessary" shades isn't such a bad thing~ ^-^
I know right? If every palette was like that I'd be stuck with like 20 shades of which 10 would be that same taupe transition colour, and I'd have the same browns and neutrals everywhere... I'd much rather use that spot in a palette to get a nice cool new colour I didn't have before, other than the stuff I will most likely have in some other eyeshadow pallete, or a bronzer, or a eyebrow powder, or contour, like anything else will have those basic colours anyways.

I like the square/rectangular ones better, because all of the storage on the market caters to that shape. Round is cute, but you have to make special storage space. Love you Tati!

Jaime Knapp I think it was just more of a declutter video more than a not worth it. To be fair she did say some just donât specifically work for her but they are good quality. I do appreciate that she gives reason to why she doesnât use some any more because what often happens with beauty gurus is they say they love something and itâs a holy grail, and than conveniently forget about them which is dishonest to those who take their advice . I often wonder what happens to all that unused make up because it is an overwhelming collection wasting away and cannot possibly be used in a life time. However at least she says that some just didnât end up working for her and that she is giving them away. A great way to declutter.

I feel like this should be "palettes I didn't enjoy". I love my naked heat and I think it's definitely worth the money. Just because Tati doesn't like the colors doesn't mean it's bad.

You just need to need know your coloring to know what color eyeshadow works for you. Take this video with a grain of salt. What might not work for Tati might work for you. Know what you like and what suits you. This was a video based off what Tati didn't like and didny work for her.

really? I find eye... skin.. (I feel creepy saying that haha) is textured/loose/soft enough that shimmers look kind of duller on it, so shimmers have to be pretty intense to work on me

But if each palette had a matte it would be the same palettes every time. The same light cream in every palette. You got rid of colorful palettes but you had hundreds and you never stick to one palette. I donât understand.

Not every palette needs to have the same transition shades and shades for deepening the crease. I don't need to pay for the same shades over and over again. If a palette just has a bunch of color shimmers, then the idea is clearly to combine it with other palettes. Re-evaluate your criteria for saying that something "isn't worth" the money.

Agree completely about the circle palette issue! Also, when I saw this video was going to be about palettes that didnât work out for you, the first one that came to mind for me as a fail was the Becca one you reviewed first! I expected to love it because the colors look gorgeous at first glance but same complaint as you... I am still trying to make it work though... and same with the Naked Heat but there are four colors in there I really love and use a lot so am keeping for those.

I kind of feel that the name of the video â awful, fail, not worth itâ, itâs Kinda not on point for pallets like the Urban Decayâs heat and makeup forever glitter palette or the YSL because theyâre good quality, good shades. I feel theyâre not a fail like the others, because a real fail is a palette thatâs poor in quality or shape, like a blush in a tiny square next to an eyeshadow.

I'm so confused on why the tittle has "save your money" when some of them were good quality palettes she just didnt like it because of the colors and how they were setup...like I thought it was because of the quality of the makeup not over some dumb color arrangement. Not everyone has the same taste in colors and it doesnt mean that is a bad pallete and its not worth spending the money on it

before learning makeup, I didn't know the differences between matte and shimmer shades. now watching this video, I couldn't agree more, too many palettes on the market with allllllll shimmer shades, it's impossible to complete an eye look with it only
I love these types of videos. Really helps me make informed decisions on my purchases, which I really appreciate because money is not easy to come my. Also, I hate round palettes to use, but they are so pretty to display!! Haha
