Oh...now you have me thinking that the cheese sticks with tomato soup would also be amazing!
Oh my! You are so right!!
Ohhhhhh, great idea!
Video title..... "What's Cookin" , "Scratch Made Meals", "Delicious Dinners", "Pantry Cooking" "Meals from the Canner" all apply as to your style of cooking... Loving all the great ideas for using what your growing & canning from the homestead!
"What's for dinner?" works for me...easy, simple and I know what to expect in the video. Simple meals always seem to taste the best. I wish we had smell-a-vision because those meals must really smell awesome!
Adding cheese sticks to the shopping list now! Looked great and I have one quart jar left of French onion soup. Why not just stick with a single name for this series and then simply add the week number to it? Looking forward to hearing what new business your mom has started, Todd.
It’d be great to title it with the week number, because then I could note it and find it easily to try recipes! Love them!
The French onion soup and cheese sticks is ingenious!
I just love this series of "what's for dinner?" I haven't even watched this one yet but wanted to comment. I don't really comment at all but there is something about this series that is unique. Love the homesteading videos but this is just a nice intimate view into your life. It really highlights the love and respect you both have for each other. I sure hope you continue this series for a long time. Peace and blessings. ❤️
Putting the plants out for others to take is a wonderful idea! The last meal looked great!!
I'm Carnivore but love watching you cook. It gives me ideas if I cook for my family.
I just love watching you cook. Taco Tuesday, Meatloaf Monday, guess who's coming to dinner night, recipes from the 50's, 60's etc, copycat recipes. Have fun.
Your dog's in the background digging at the door, & grunting to get your attention to let them out was cracking me up! LOL Never fails as soon as you sit down or walk away they need something. Love them as long as you can tho. Mine have long since passed away. I have been thinking of getting a tea cup pig to keep in the house..haven't got hubby convinced of it yet...lol
Rachel needs to come up with her own Hot Pepper Hoagie Spread, and post a video on how to make it.
I sent her a recipe I found that is very similar to that and hopefully she'll make it and share it with her own touches.
What a great idea, love that and I agree!
All I know is, I get excited when you release another meals video…regardless of what the title is! 🤣😂 I get TONS of ideas from these. Canning recipe ideas, how to use the pantry staples I put up and new recipes to try! I hope you know how inspirational you both are! Thanks for continuing this video series.
My grandson is 7 months old and up on his knees too. I love chatting with him on video. He is only 4 hours away so I get up to see him quite often.
Pairing cheese sticks with tomato soup if you dont have the onion soup would also probably also be amazing 😍. Such a great quick and easy dinner idea!!
"What's for Dinner" is the best title! I get excited to see what you've made. I just ordered the hoagie spread, so we'll see how that goes!
You are so lucky Todd cooks and it always looks great.
lol Your dogs in the background scratching at the door to go out, being so good waiting on you guys !!
Guess I'll be making the onion soup with cheese sticks next. Couldn't get the sloppy joes out of my head and made them for the first time in probably 30 years--my husband raved. I was almost insulted when he went on and on (more than for some of my all day recipes!)
What's For Dinner 1; What's For Dinner 2... Thanks for continuing to post what's for dinner. I know you have to be very busy with all the spring prep but I sure enjoy your dinner videos.
Not only do you share great ideas of dinners, it gives me ideas of what to can as well. Thanks!
I love you guys, period. I wouldn't care if you didn't show us what you have for dinner or not.
Onion soup with mozzarella sticks sounds amazing!!
I would get nervous of having a camera on my face while eating :)
2 things I love about your vids:
-the darling weinie who sometimes makes a cameo
-how he looks at her. You can tell the love.
I was just typing 'put your tomatoes by the road!' when Todd said it! 😂 I like the 'What's For Dinner' title, it's homey and comforting! It makes me feel like we've all gathered to eat together. (And I didn't have to cook! 😁)
Every meal looked amazing! My husband used to love French Onion soup. I should try canning some using your recipe. Thank you for sharing.
Y'all should make a cookbook!!! Y'all's meals look absolutely amazing! Or blog?!
Especially of meals that are like "northern" foods. I'm from the south and would love to know what's like a popular dish up there!!
Thanks. Love y'all's channel also. Y'all are such a cute couple!
What’s cooking, I always say made with love when I cook, I love watching you guys, such an inspiration!
I know these videos can be a lot of work so I really want to express my gratitude for them!! I have such a habit of having such linear ways of thinking about food. So I never in a million years would have thought to put coleslaw and enchilada sauce on tacos. You’re constantly giving me great ideas and challenging me to push outside my comfort zone 💗 so thank you, thank you, thank you!
I like the dinner idea with the onion soup
I am happy with What's for dinner as a title. No need to complicate your lives more. I enjoy all your videos guys. Thanks!
Hi I don't know if its catchy but I always find it useful to see how you incorporate your harvest into your meals. Thanks
The French onion soup with mozzarella sticks is the best idea!
I have taken plants to our Habitat store in my area. This is a great way to share, if you still have extra plants. :)
I feel for you. My granddaughter lives far away and we only see her about once every 4-5 weeks. I am soooo grateful for FaceTime!!! Everything looked delicious(as usual).
Oh, I am so going to be buying cheese sticks this evening to go with my canned french onion soup! Thanks for that yummy tip!
I truly do love this 'What's for Dinner' episodes 😊I'm not a big fan of onion soup, but I do love mozzarella sticks! The pasta dish looked SO yummy! I will definitely have to try that! For a tile I would stick with 'What's for Dinner' but add an episode number that way people can track it better.
I used to do the same thing with my tomato plants when I lived in the city!
Good morning guys! I just watched your recent what's for dinner. The cheese stick with onion soup was brilliant! My son showed me a Tik Tok video where the lady partially thawed the cheese sticks and put them on her waffle iron. It makes flat, gooey, cheese patties of sorts...delicious! Keep up the great content and your video shots/quality are fantastic. Have a great day😁
The French onion soup/cheese stick meal is such a st0ner meal. I love it!
Thats the best idea ever to do cheese sticks with the French onion soup!
Everything looks delicious. Thank you for sharing
I just wanted to tell you both how much I adore you and what you’re doing here. Your videos are inspiration to keep doing what I’m doing and reaffirm for me the type of life I want for my family. From your garden to your relationship with each other, this is a real wholesome channel. Thank you and God bless you both!
I just love you too! Such a cute couple, you guys are amazing. Todd, that Italian sausage meal looks like something we would enjoy
I love these videos. I watch them while I'm eating dinner!
Love Love Love this series!!! Have a great week! God Bless!
As long as you don't call me late for dinner I'm happy! Love this series. Thank you!!1
Nice collection of dinner options. Thanks for sharing! :)
I love these videos. Almost more than the food, just the chatter.
Genius on the onion soup and mozzarella sticks!
It's so cute that you both eat together and enjoy it. 😄
You guys are SO inspiring with the what's for dinner videos in my opinion because you are creative with what you have in your home. My goal is to be able to rely on the grocery store the least I have to, just like you guys are doing. I really enjoy your sharing the simplicity of how easy it can be to create and rely on your own supply.
I love the soup idea! Thanks for sharing, I am for sure going to try that!
You guys are Great! Hey good idea for the surplus tomato plants....People will love that.
Awesome bowls Todd...I'm on the hunt now! totally making this meal too (onion soup and cheese sticks).
Yep I love "What's for Dinner" it explains it perfectly. Great meals Todd & helps me with different meals as well. We are having a leftover Japanese Chicken Curry, absolutely beautiful. I do agree with Todd put the spare plants out the front with a FREE sign & please return the pots - perfect. Cheers Denise- Australia
What's for Dinner seems good enough! Love you guys💚
I found you guys accidentally what a happy accident. I Really enjoy your videos don’t mind me I’m just passing through binge watching. You guys are several years younger than we are but very relatable to our way of life and faith. Thank you for amazing content love the editing style, very fun and informative to watch. 👍💞
please keep doing these.. It has inspired me to cook more and be creative! Thank You
I enjoy the weekly meals videos. Most of all, the onion soup n cheese sticks sounds great!
Cheese sticks in onion soup...GENIUS!!
“Dinner Time on the Homestead” .. I love your meal videos 😊
Now I have to find your onion soup recipe and that actually looks good with cheese stick. Hmmmm. I love thinking outside the box. Gotta try it
OMG! These meals!!!!! I'm going to make the sausage meal, and the onion soup and mozzarella cheese sticks looked amazing!!!! Love the cooking shows!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this show! Don't change a thing. You are just the nicest most loving couple and I really enjoy all the new ideas you present.
Thus is a hit because of YOU! What's For Dinner works for me. The 😊
You two are the best!
Just love watching your "Whats for dinner" videos!!! It all looks so delicious and easy lol. I'm gonna check out your french onion soup video. Thinking I'll grow more onions this year the soup looks so tasty!. Take care!.
Maybe it's boring but I like Rachel's idea of just leaving it "what for dinner" but what if you added the date? So "what's for dinner last week of April? Or what's for dinner early spring" or something like that? Especially if you will continue doing these as you harvest throughout the gardening season because as someone who is in the same zone, my harvest schedule will be similar to yours it's nice to see your "in season" dinner ideas. It'll also be nice to go back and search by season/date. Thank you so much for doing these! I found your channel last year and when my 4 year old daughter wants to watch you guys she asks to watch "the lady from Michigan" 🥰 we've watched a ton of your videos (most of them more than once) and always look forward to the new ones that come out! They are such a joy and peace in a chaotic world.
Thank y'all for sharing your "What's for dinner" videos 💯💯. I'm glad you remembered to put the video for the French onion soup.... I'm heading to that video now 🙏🙏 Kendra... oops that wasn't it... I'm searching now
Rachel, I love that you yelled out to your neighbors! What a great story for them to share with their family and friends: I bet they return next year looking for more 😂
Todd, love what’s for dinner. I look for the videos, name is just fine ♥️
Another great video thanks sharing with us❤️❤️
Personally I find myself looking for your, " What's for dinner?". Thanks for everything you both do , I enjoy your channel so much. I do have a quick question, for Todd, I've been wondering how the bees came through the winter, I apologize in advance if this question has been addressed previously. ❤️
It all looks wonderful & I loved the onion soup
Oh my gosh! Todd you are a genius and I’m totally going to do that 😊.
Delicious! I started spinach too early and it actually bolted indoors on our first 70 degree day. Crazy!
AWESOME 👍👍 Thank you!!!
I’m a simple human. I see a new video form yall and I immediately give it a like ✨🤘🏻🙌🏻😍
Ok, I canned that onion soup, now I must get cheese sticks! I would have never thought! Thank u
Just picked up my first bag of Vidalia onions today. I have to make the soup and mozz sticks!
Sounds great. Live your dinners
I love your what's for dinner videos 💞💞
Just planted my dixondale’s. Excited to make some onion soup this fall!
Wow, I never knew you could freeze whole garlic cloves! I also just planted 150 onions. I so hope they all grow so I can make French onion soup and onion relish!! All your meals look so yummy!
You will love them ❤️
The onion soup sounds like it’s a sin. 😍😂
What’s for supper !!! 😂
Us country folks still say Supper.
Thank you both for sharing your recipes. Blessings !!! ✝️💟
RECOMMENDATION: I remember that a while back you planted some willow to make a wedding arch. Well I came upon this channel that you might enjoy. Her name is Hanna Van Aelst and she makes living structures with willow branches. She is a sweet lady with lovely and calming videos.
All your meals look yummy 😋.
Oh my gosh. I want to can onion soup now and I want to try the onion soup with cheesesticks!!!
Yummy moments, candlelit goodies, two dinner delights, what’s on the grill, easy peasy delights, get er done dinners, casserole creations, homemade with love, two sips to heaven,,,( for soups)….one two and it’s food for you…lol
Our local food bank (Oregon) loves to accept & distribute plant starts. Maybe one near you would like your tomato plants!
Just finished off a bowl of homemade onion soup and cheese sticks.... amazing! 🙌🏼
Yay 😁
I could pour that French onion over a grilled steak too!
Doin' Dinner as a title. Todd didn't say if he liked the ground beef or was still not a fan. I make street tacos with either canned pork or beef chunks. Get the meat crispy on the edges. Then I put some pickled red onions on them along with cheese. So good.
Everything looked delicious.
Love your videos!!
Great video and your meals look great. Yummy.
I just love watching your channel, it's so uplifting and HELPFUL. Your experiments and how-to videos have helped me grow so much. I am curious, what were your thoughts on the canned ground beef... taste, texture?
This batch was way better with the broth in it
what's cookin Is a good one anyway enjoyed your cooking videos I get lots of good dinner ideas
Need that link for the onion soup, please. I've never had it before but love onions so why not try it! Thanks for sharing as always!
That sounds delicious 🤤
Loving Todd’s knife skills!
When you got out those cheese sticks with the onion soup I was picking up what you were throwing down, lolz! Brilliant. Jacques Pepin has his mother's Lyonnaise onion soup which is rather similar. Really.
I'm going to have to try Rachel's onion soup canning recipe bc you can't just eat sweet onion jam all the time. Sort of 😄
PS: you don't need a more clever name than What's For Dinner, really. Think form vs function, and function should always win
