- Blasphemous 2 Is one of the best indie souls-like games to come out this year. But the unfortunate thing is that it released in between some of the most anticipated games this year. Even then it's still shines brightly as one of the best indie games this year.

Completed this game 100%, it's better than the previuos one in every aspect, the soundtrack for me it's the best, what a piece of art.
I sometimes sit in areas just to listen to the background music
Blasphemous is the type of game to just make you stop what you were doing and just take in the beautiful background art and music

My only complaint is the difficulty being too on the easy side, but it’s not like the first game was that much harder and it only became harder after dlc and updates came. OG blasphemous (pre updates) wasn’t hard outside of the second to final boss who was a skill check
It made my day to hear Blasphemous 2 came out. It was like an out of nowhere surprise. I LOVED the first one. Broke my heart that it wasn't for PS4, like the original one was. So I have to get it for switch, since I don't own a PS5 or Xbox. What sucked even worse was I found out the switch version isn't coming out until September 15. But when it does, I'll be happier than a penitent one, in a field of flame belching bishop dudes.

Why do people call anything Souls/Souls-like nowadays? It's a metroidvania.
Cause people think every slightly difficult game is like dark souls. Didn’t you know souls games were the first challenging games ever?

3. Vague mystical story
4. Metroidvania
Souls like in this case refers more to the themes
@@randomizer2503no those aren’t what make a game a souls like. Gameplay is the only thing when it comes to what makes a game a souls like. The surge, code vein and many others aren’t dark fantasy/vague mystical stories but they’re considered souls like cause they’re difficult and play almost the same as Souls games.
@@IsaiahBased96 I meant those are reasons why people call it a souls like. It clearly evokes this response in most ppl, that's why it's on souls like game lists etc while smth like hollow knight isn't. And one can see the resemblence honestly.

If you die you lose em
Your health bar gets shortened and you have to go to where you died to get them back
There are alot of npcs and quest lines
You can open up short cuts
Hard bosses
Upgrade items
You have to admit it's def not a classic type.

the execution in blasphemous were so good but in blasphemous 2 they just fall flat
Blasphemous 2 is too easy. A nice game, but i was disappointed. Expected more
Yeah I had fun with it but it was really missing the grueling challenge that the first one had and I was breezing through the sequel. Maybe they’ll do some balancing changes later on
Eh it was about the same difficulty on the easier side with the new weapons and the fact it was designed to be less frustrating. Blasphemous was never that hard
@@2265Hello I think the first had more challenges where the average person would just give up if they weren’t experienced with metroidvania or even soulsborne games. The sequel didn’t really have that besides the eviterno fight
Enjoyed the video but you saying people missed this game is very funny. Most people that would like Blasphomeus 2 already knew about it and played it. Your title would aply to an unknown litlle indie game and not one of the most popular indie Metredoidvanias ever.
