Wow, even when snowing, Swedes go out for a picnic. The thin front edge of the knife makes a perfect kitchen knife. Great for skining too.
Yes I was thinking the same thing. I already got the Garberg carbon for my first bushcraft knife and I’ve been thinking that a stainless steel knife such as the Kansbol would be good for food preparation.
@@Cooliemasteroz , the Garberg is too expensive for my liking. The Mora Bushcraft is more than adequate.
@@freenational yes you’re probably right and it was a bit much for a Mora but then some say the the same knife made by some other brands would be even more expensive. The Condor Terrasaur might have been the best choice.
Got the Bushcraft survival 7 years ago, still serves me well.

I have the Bushcraft orange with the survival kit. The knife is SO bright, it almost hurts to look at it. 😂 There’s no chance I will ever lose it.👍🏼

I have an obscene amount of 511s that I give as gifts, just got a robust and have had a kansbol and eldris for a little over a year now, love the eldris as a neck knife.

@@troysnyder8174 its very nice once you got it down, basically using your thumb to pivot the knife, like a fulcrum, allows for heavier strikes and IMO the ideal way to reliably have a one strike fire 🔥 I believe Paul Kirtley has a video on this technique might you want a close up ;D
Just got my first Morakniv today (Kansbol), im very impressed with the quality and all the small details like the sharp edge on the spine that strikes a fire steel well. if it serves me well I will definitely be reccomending you to my friends. Greetings from all the way down in South Africa

*I'm a Mora fan but they are getting too expensive for what they are. They are a basic/plastic knife with fairly good steel. The price needs to remain low for it to remain a good deal.*

A message to Morakniv: with all due respect please make a (green) Kansbol 2 without the extra grind on the tip. I love everything about my knife but that. Sheath, handle, materials, all good. When I’m in the woods I’m never slicing up tomatoes, it’s not a kitchen knife. Cutting and carving wood, vines, roots yes, and a strong tip is so much more suitable. I hope you’re listening. I am a survivalist. Dont try to sell a product to the general public by staging what you do next. While it is true that one will learn and must learn or die you cant prepare for every scenario possibl. Lets say these two in video werent on hiking trip . Say it was a plane crash.you need more than a blooade with gadgets to survive. While i admit it looks pretty cool .we made our own. Starting fires is easy .cromagdon man did it so it comes natural. Magnesium fire starters help . Learn hiw to find flint.
This knife has a poor quality of stainless steel processing. The blade is not polish and on descents from the usual humidity in the air over time, corrosion spots are formed. Shame on the manufacturer!
What environment do you live in? Near the sea? Stain on stainless steel can be easily removed by using very fine abrasive pads.
