Here’s something about that era 89-92 NOBODY in Hip Hop at that time wanted to be a gangster, that came after. I thought it was crazy at the time what the press and other entertainers were putting out there about him. They just straight lied and fabricated stories about him, which in turn brought the whole world against him. It was obvious what he was and where he came from. He was a white kid he grew up in an urban “street” environment and grew a love of dance and hip hop from that. He wanted to be a huge entertainer and had a knack for an over the top glamorous style. By the way someone who wanted to portray being a gangster would never have chosen the look, style, and content that he did. He obviously chose a more glamorous look of the 70s era funk and mixed it with the 80s lyrical approach of hip hop and break dancing. It was so stupid what they did to him. No reason, other than just being mad a white person was there.
