Abby Jimenez is one of my favorite authors, I can't wait to read her newest trilogy! I hope you're reading The Friend Zone trilogy next, those books had me swearing by her writing and totally pulled me out of my reading slump.
@@jewelcaro6545 part of your world is the first book and yours truly was the second. The order doesnât matter too much because itâs just character cameos in each book. Each story is completely different.
I just read A Novel Love Story, Ashley Poston's newest book, and I absolutely loved it!! It was my first book by her and I highly recommend. Seven Year Slip is on my tbr, I've heard great things about it.
funny story is my fave from the month (my fave from emily henry!) đ„° also i laughed out loud with the picture of the dog you used for just for the summer, so true
I have recently really gotten into reading; something about it this time round, itâs so relaxing and allows my mind to escape to another reality.. into another world đ„° I really struggle with reading aloud or in my mind, itâs almost like I canât process words correctly and sometimes it upsets me so I take a break from reading but recently, I just got into audible.. and oh my gosh, itâs a game changer for me; I put on my airpods and listen as I read along and itâs helped so much, Iâve already got about 10 books ready in line for my next read đ€ sending so much love jess xx
I also read Take back your family just two weeks ago, i'm so giddy about this! this is my review on goodreads about it: "This is one of the best books I've read about families (and not only) so far, I don't have children, but it's such a great preparation, for someone who doesn't have their own family AND for someone who does. It gives profound insights into living intentionally, the difference between the family oriented around consumption vs the family oriented around contribution. The book is filled with practical habits that can transform family life and the importance of a team as a family, and asking the WHYs, the hard questions no one really asks for their own family, but we all do in our job areas, church, missions, businesses, and so on. How come we've fallen so much in an area that was meant to thrive? "If we don't deal with the why, we will continue to act like zombies living a reality we don't want but aren't even aware of." "This matters because whatever story we believe, we become." "
my current read is caraval, a fantasy book and it's been good so far. oh, and the aesthetics of just for the summer are sooo accurate, especially the dog đ i just love how cozy and intimate this channel feels! it makes me want to go to a coffee shop and grab my book with me †(love the color of your hoodie btw!!!)
LOVE that you also do not enjoy reading spicy books. It is so hard to find good book recs when everyone really just seems to be reading for the spice. It is so nice knowing I can trust your recs and I have found some of my favorite books from your videos! đ€

Hey Jess, really like this booktube channel! I think you said that the podcast was your dream, so it would be great of you picked it up again on your channel. It would be so interesting, you could do some girl talks, have your mum/sis on, your friends/ collabs with other youtubers. You could do it once a month, it would ve great! Do consider if you can! â€
This was amazing!! Having Jess on booktube is the best thing that's happened in 2024!! Also, your hair looks amazing in this video, could please tell me what cut you asked for at the hair salon and what you're using to keep it so healthy. Thank you đ.
Just For The Summer sounds so good. I really want to read that series now. If youâre looking for another summer read to add to your TBR, Iâd highly recommend Every Summer After by Carley Fortune. It has some similarities to Love and Other Words, but I just read Every Summer After in June and itâs my new favorite book of all time! There are a few spicy scenes that youâd have to skip over, but the rest of the book is so good and one I know Iâll read again and again.
You should read Sarah Adamsâ books When in Rome and Practice Makes Perfect! They are very similar to Abby Jimenezâs books but follow the girl who is a celebrity singer and a baker in a small country town. I really feel like you will love them đđ
a small town boy and big city girl trope iâd recommend are juniper hill by devney perry, when in rome by sarah adams and the simple wild by k.a tucker â€ïž
I read my first Riley Sager book this month and I'm so gutted why I haven't read his stuffs earlier bcs it's so good omg. I read 'Final Girls' by the way and I'm so excited to read more of his books!! and I'm currently reading four books lol 1. The Plot (Jean Hanff Korelitz) - A physical book 2. The Portrait of a Lady (Henry James) - An ebook if I don't have my physical book with me 3. 믞ëêłŒê±°ìì (ë°°ëȘ í) - Another ebook if I'm in the mood to use my brain so I can improve my Korean reading skill lol 4. True Crime Story (Joseph Knox) - An audiobook for commuting to and from work
I haven't read anything for Abby Jimenez, but everyone seems to love her books so maybe I should check them out đ€ Nice video, Jess. It's really nice to hear you talk about booksâ€
Iâm currently reading crown of midnight by sarah j. maas. Itâs technically the second book in the throne of glass series, but Iâm reading it third since I read the prequel first. Iâm really enjoying it so far!
I recently really loved books by Juliana Smith, where the series follows Wells sibling. Every story has a different trope and there isn't much spicy scenes. They are an easy read so i think you would like themâșïž
In June I read the Dirty Little Scandals series by Jennifer Lynn Barnes. VERY similar in pace and style of The Inheritance Games, so you might like that! Also Beach Read is my favorite of Emily Henry if youâre looking to start another đ„°
I got book recommendations from various friends this month so my goal is to read all of their recommendations: they are Invisible Monsters - Chuck Pahlaniuk First Lie Wins- Ashley Elston The Husbands Secret- Liane Moriarty The Time Travelers Wife- Audrey Niffenegger We Were Liars- E. Little Woman by Louisa May Alcott is a book l definitly recommend! It recounts the adventures of four sisters. I enjoy the authors description of the different characters a lot, because it is so relatable and authentic. Also thank you for the videoâș
Glad you're enjoying Abby Jimenez books. She's a top author for me!!! I've read both of her trilogies each have their own heavy topic/storyline and she executed them to perfection. Have you read any Robin Gunns books? The Christy Miller series holds such a special place in my heart! HIGHLY RECOMMEND you read "How to age dis-gracefully" by clare Pooley. I feel like you would love it. It's one of those books I could not put down and was SUPER funny
There's an excellent book called 'The Shack' by William Paul Young about a man who spends a weekend with God after his young daughter is kidnapped and unalived. Not religious myself, but I loved how he and God reconnected and how he is taught/encouraged to see things a different way. There's also a movie with the same name if you want to watch that and get a taster of what the book is about (the book is better, as always).
Jess! I just jumped on YT and just got so excited I'm so early for a posted video! Yay! My fiance and I are going on a road trip in a few days, do you have any books on audible you'd recommend for couples into fantasy themes?! :) Xoxo, misslariss17
