She knows you’re well liked and respected. That’s why she treats you that way. Treat her with kindness. They can’t stand that. Let her know you’re on to her. Stay professional but at the same time don’t take no shit.

I don’t agree. Nothing wrong with advising people who are new and showing them the ropes, but they need to respect that an adult can find different ways to do the same job. Just because they were there the longest doesn’t mean their way is the best. Let’s normalize respect of boundaries, regardless of age. And just because someone is new, doesn’t mean they’re new to the position.
