What a breath of fresh air this girl interviewing is!
Patient, witty, likeable, informed, engaging. So different from the aggressive, uninformed, dislikable bimbos that's become the norm.
AS for JD. What a treasure, and so correct about the lamentable state of modern "comedy", which I never laugh at.

That was one of his favourite "jokes" and who could possibly be offended by that?
The truth is in the seventies we used to accept a lot of shit. Paedophiles were "dirty old men" and just accepted as an inevitable part of society.
Fat drunk old men were "comedians" who told mother in law jokes, jokes about fancying underage girls and a bit of casual racism thrown in for effect.
Ricky Gervais was the first person I heard saying that, but the quote is probably older.

My brother was in the RAF and watched Jim on several occasions. According to my bro, not only was Jim good company, and easy to talk to, but more importantly than that... He was funny!

What a great interview. No way is Nana in her fifties. Mid thirties at the most, surely. Either way, she is a great interviewer and Jim is a living legend.
Legend?Jim Davidson is a living dog end or bell end . On his Wikipedia page he admits to being a "homophobic a***hole" 10 out of 10 for honesty I suppose, but the word homophobic is superfluous.

Love Jim Davidson - he's Marmite - but to me he is not only funny but a genuine guy. The work he continues to do for the servicemen and women is phenomenal.
I loved 'Nick-nick' and Chalky. When you can't laugh at life or yourself, it is sad, in my opinion.

I went to school with black brown and Chinese kids in the 70s we all got on fine … comments and banter flowed all ways nobody was immune but we called for each other to go places after school and at the weekend proper mates then not this pretend FB friendship … intolerance seems worse now and people are eager to polorise groups

I left England for Australia in the first few days of 1970 at the age of nineteen. Apart from the geographical distance it's become obvious to me (after watching CZcams over the last year) that we've been isolated in other ways. I'd never heard of Jim apart from recently seeing him on GB News.
Just before I left England, I became aware of names like Jimmy Tarbuck and Les Dawson following on the tail of people like Dave Allen.
Love Nana superb as usual, saw Jim Davidson years ago in The Dun Cow of the Old Kent Rd,he was great sung the chalkie song and the coloured lads all applauded shouted for more,
Most startling fact here is that Nana’s age. 😀. Met Jim on a number of occasions when on tour and always good company 😂

I've been where he is regarding Yewtree - it's horrible being accused of something you have not done - especially something that hanus.
Being branded sexist racist and homophobic (ie politically incorrect) is bad enough but now the people who want to tarnish everyone of a certain age and certain class now have a new smear tactic. There's something sinister about the coverage of these accusations of supposed crimes that happened 40 or 50 years ago while cases in Rotherham, Rochdale and the like that are still ongoing are hushed up. Its almost as though historical accusations have been brought to the fore to take the heat off ongoing abuse

Watching this interview gave me the comfort of being sat in the Pub on a Sunday lunch time. Times when they would shut at 2.30. My father would be conversering with his friends, Eli comes to mind, a barbadian chap who had an allotment next to dads. Sat around that little table in the corner of the Albion, warm and cosey not wanting it to end.

I love Jim Davidson....and I worked around the Old Kent Road area, so his sense of humour was great, healthy fun
We need a new generation of fearless and tongue in cheek comics, the likes of Jim Davidson, John Cleese, Bobby davro and many other British comics should be mentoring a new generation of lads that can pick apart the narrative and make light of subjects in such a way that can't be defied. Chritian comics are important, we need our own Steven crowder in this country to push back against censorship and orwellian laws that make criminals of average every day men who banter. Rejecting the narcisisim is the first step
