just bought one of these for £10, Im thinking of opening up the base , removing and replacing the iron with a non temp controlled Weller iron, It might work..
hi pal uk car mechanic here, i have that little dremel and it deffo isnt the most powerful but for the odd use it works well, mainly use it for cutting metal handbrake cables as its so small, also good for some little nuts and bolts but deffo not mega powerful had it for over a year and not any issues but agree very very noisy
I just bought one for £10. It is very bulky and does not fold away easily. My other concern is that different bits are rare. Seems to be a Weller MT1 screw in thingie. Also shame the light does not click with the thermostat so cannot tell when it has reached temp.
Another good video, the collar on the soldering iron is to dissipate any heat before it reaches the handle

the waves in the cable just pull firm at both ends and a hairdryer at full temperature up and down for 5 minutes will straighten the wire out 👍
All my tools are Parkside and they are really good. The soldering iron was the only let down
If you need a more powerful one get the corded one,and change the collet for a small chuck much easier to change bit.
