honestly the only true way to start getting somewhere, ive been doing this for a good few years, i saw it getting bad when i spent over 1000 pounds on halo 5 packs just for mere cosmetics, we need to stop letting them rob us on these microtransactions, but you know there always be a bunch of kids with their parents card, or some dude who got money to burn on these things, oh and ofc the youtubers and streamers.

Each year I can see them adding a different weapon type thing and then throughout the year selling different variations/colors of it.
Purple and gold r9… guess what the free flatline is also purple and gold. Maybe it will be a theme for these exotic reactive skins (although the havoc looks to be blue but it was meant to be released)
Let this game die. It’s the only way to get the devs off their asses and fix issues, give people what they want, and stop being so damn greedy. They’ll do anything to save this game, it makes them to much money.
Yk as much as I hate the cost of the micro transactions at the end of the day they are skins and you don’t need them so if you buy them you’re the dumb one they aren’t forcing you to. Imagine calling entire game trash because skin prices in first person shooter :D I've never bought any skins with irl money and i have 3 heirlooms and sht ton of legendary skins+ all events skins since release and that's alot of free sht.
Ngl getting them out of Apex packs sounds good and bad, the pack costmetic/currency pool is already huge and adding these would just make it worse. But on the other hand having a chance of getting a universal heirloom or reactive skin just from standard packs sounds cool. They sound like "THE HEIRLOOM SHARDS AT HOME".
Maggie's heirloom should be a Maori weapon forged from the bones of Fuse's arm.

I hope that universal heirloom bought via shards will be much cheaper than a full collection event. For example I hope that the katar which in the collection event cost like 255€, buying it via shards will cost more or less 100€, because of no skin sold with it
Back when I started playing multiplayer shooters, this cool stuff could be earned, eather by skill (titles, calling cards, etc) or by completing a set of challenges. Now (in Apex) there are challenges who give you 40 trash recolour skins and one (probably) good reactive skin in the battle pass. They could have made it that you can earn heirlooms by completing enough challenges on a legend and also give the option to just get them via shards and technically buy them with IRL money. But it's EA so they keep milking as hard as possible.
I'm waiting for conduits heirloom. hopefully i get some shards by then
NGL I missed the s7 battle pass so I didn’t get a chance to get the reactive R99 skins if the exotic shards are stupid expensive and next season the r99 reactive recolor isn’t free with challenges I’d be tempted to buy the reactive skins idk about the artifacts
I had to install this season and ive played every season and have gotten every battle pass but i can't anymore shit feels like a job trying to grind and play not fun at all

I love how BS this game is, it's can run around with all sorts of heirlooms and artifacts at full speed but God forbid when I'm actually in a gun fight an try to run or do any movement with my gun out I'm punished and slowed down. I can't run from grenades, bullets, or any incoming fire with a handgun but if I have a 10ft, 100lb sword I can easily hop, jump, slide, evade be a dam ninja with ease. I see where their priorities are

It is with _great shame_ I admit I bought out the Secret Society collection event. It was a moment of weakness. Is the heirloom cool? Yes it is. Was it worth it? Not at all. Am I still going to use it? May as well.

It's amazing to me how much respawn manages to hype people up with content only to piss them off with poorly thought out monetization filth. Oh to be a fan of apex, ever close to greatness yet completely unwilling to cross that line before shooting itself in the foot.

Sadly we have entered the cash grab phase also known as coffin nail stage. Cobalt Katar has to be aimed at children (rich children) yet the game usually attracts an older audience, teenagers upwards. It doesn't make any sense, big stupid bulky sword in a shooter game. It looks crap, it isn't realistic (in terms of believable / buy in to imagination) no link to lore or any character. WHO the hell would invest £100 plus in getting this and then WHO gets excited about a red or yellow version. NO ONE !!! (apart from streamers paid to unlock the whole event of course) I showed it to my teenager and 21 year old sons separately, both said the same thing 'what the fuck is that' and then walked off. I am so worried for Apex, are they trying to force it down the kiddy Roblox model or are they just short on content and direction . . . so we just get a bang average item that has 30 re-colours.YEY PEOPLE get excited guys, you can buy it for over £100 and then you can sweat your ass off for an insane amount of hours doing anti-fun challenges to hopefully win some green shit to access a re-colour. Let's not even discuss the expensive deathbox or PK skin, FFS. So we now have a Pegi 16 game with shop being aimed at 8 year olds. Shame really because Apex could have bucked the live service game model, but they have bought in to it 100% now. We have the shitty Activision EOMM system and algorithms, we have the stupid kiddy shop and all the usual ballax live service games bring. NO fun JUST cash grab.

From the gameplay being shown it was glitch that commonly happened when the evo armor was released where it's just a visual glitch

I'm so sad man. every octane skin almost every single octane skin has been so damn cool i have like 15 legendary ones. they are so bad ass. and the one skin the one damn skin that cost 160 honestly is the dumbest/ugliest skin I've ever seen for octane. the worst part is its basically 3 skins. 3 and not a single one is good. ive waited ever since the first heirloom skin for this day. and it feels like how it is when you beat your meat then sit there disappointed. like why man why, the purple skin that has the galaxy is better. shit they could of made like the skin that has plus ultra or anything other than this hahahah sad day for octane mains.

The issue is that they are putting more resources in cranking out overpriced stuff, while the games quality and content is taking a hit, the horizon and octain scrapped event is a good example
Also it's ea, they have a habit of makeing the game priceyer and priceyer untill people stop purchaseing, once the game caps out they will just cut there losses, stop the games development and let it slowly die out untill they pull the plug

Personally, I don't tg no that apex should or will die soon, the only problem is the fact that EA just wants money and they don't allow Respawn actually update the game how they want, unless it's diyng, but this doesn't mean Apex is bad, we recently got one of the best update, so don't let this game down beacuse it's still one of the battle royal in the game with the best machanics, just because EA wants ti capitalys on it doesn't mean it's not worth playing anymore.
Oh and also let tell you a secret, THE GAME IS FUCKING FREE, you can just play the game and don't give a FUCK about cosmetic
