Villa Park has never had a West Stand! The North Stand was built in 1978, not 1994 (this is the stand due for redevelopment in the near future), the Witton Lane (later Doug Ellis) had an upper tier built in 1992, the lower tier was replaced in 1996 the Holte End was 1994 and the iconic Trinity Road (another of Leith's designs) was replace in the early 2000's.

The Steve Bull Stand at Molineux actual dates back to the late 1970s. Molineux was the first ever purpose built stadium for league football when it opened in 1891.

Too bad that both Anfield and St James' Park are both effectively capped due to location constraints. If Old Trafford can't be rehabbed, then United should consider building a new stadium on land they already own.

Anfield’s not capped, the club have been buying up land around the stadium for decades. They’re in the process of expanding the stadium to 61,000 for next season
Anfield is not really restricted. They even re-routed Anfield Road to accommodate the extension of that stand. Kemlyn Road was a problem for years with tenants refusing to sell their houses. That was sorted in the end.

It's not quite true to say that Liverpool moved to Anfield in 1892. They were founded by the owner of the ground after Everton moved out.
Chelsea and Sheffield United were also created to make use of an existing stadium.

As a Forest fan I'm very disappointed by the lack of passion and atmosphere at most Prem clubs these days. Championship fans are louder, more passionate and less likely to be selfie stick clapping tourists. Basically Forest and Sheff Utd make almost as much noise as the rest combined. I've felt genuinely embarrassed for fans in these libraries. Chelsea and Liverpool especially quiet. All the fuss about the Anfield atmosphere....total myth.

The best teams to buy premier league tickets from are the following:
Manchester City - selected matches are in general sale in premier league - tickets are from £40😮
West Ham - around £45 in some matches in premier league
Aston Villa - selected matches around £40
Lastly, Brighton and hove Albion sometimes have selected matches in general sale £35
it will be interesting to see if Luton town put premier league tickets on general sale and how often Brighton have tickets in general sale. The rest, unfortunately have membership schemes and it isn’t worth additional cost.

Newcastle should move. The stadium looks ridiculous. I don't think they would even allow them to build upwards (like Boca Juniors?) because of the impingement on the nearby houses (shadows?).
St James Park is right in the city centre and there are plans in the works to extend another side. Moving would be silly.
It is not true to say the Etihad was built for the Commonwealth Games. A permanent stadium would not have been built if City had stayed at Maine Road. The Commonwealth Games stadium would have been one permanent stand and three temporary ones and so would have not really have been a stadium once the games were over.

@@MikeySlou What's the question? The stadium was built in the form it was built in because City agreed to move there. Had City not moved there, after the Commonwealth Games finished it would have been an athletics track with one permanent two tier stand and no stands on three sides.

For the Games it was 38000 capacity with temporary seating. It wasn't 48000 until after the Games. If City had not agreed to move it would have been one permanent stand only. If you want to call one stand a permanent stadium, ok mate.
What is the reason for removing 1,100 seats from the Etihad Stadium, and can Manchester City re-install them after the new development work, so that the capacity of the stadium exceeds 62 thousand?

@@justliveandletlive I am calling for 1,100 seats to be re-installed at the Etihad Stadium because Manchester fans fill the stadium completely every game and to increase the capacity of the stadium to 62,200.
It was to make room for the double advertising boards. We have two rows of digital advertising boards which, to the TV cameras, align to make one twice the size. Presumably it made sense commercially as the advertising must be more apparent.
Point of order though, three rows were not removed from the South Stand. I am on row three, which is now the front row but used to be the third row. Behind me is row A, which was originally the front row before the expansion.

Many of the stadia in the EFL look better than some of these dumps. Apart from the obvious few stadia, many of these look ugly with different height stands. They look what they are - add-ons.
Proper football fans love the grounds that have developed over the years and have character.
They always have a far better atmosphere than the soulless, off the shelf bowls that so many clubs have build in recent years. Although being almost identical in size, the noisy generated by the fans in the traditional style Wolves stadium by far exceeds that made by fans in the Ikea style blue & white bowl Brighton stadium.
