Etihad Airways has always been celebrated as having one of the best first class in the sky following the airline's A380 launch. However, in the post-pandemic world of air travel, the carrier's excessively lavish A380 is replaced with a much more modest 787 equipped with its first generation first class suite.
Modest is a word to describe the cabin ambiance. But it does not preclude Etihad's 787 first class from offering sumptuous amenities with 2002 vintage champagne and ultra-exclusive lounge facility at Abu Dhabi.

The stength and perseverance you showed having to walk curbside to the private first class check in area at the end of the terminal with the obvious absence of any bellman is amicable!! The obvious discomfort you must of experienced from lifting the 70lb bag BY YOURSELF! must of really diminished your travel experience in the inhospitable check in area #sad #perseverance #survivor

I have to agree with some of the comments here, quite disrespectful . No porters to lift my 70lb / 32kgs bag. You packed it, you carry it ! Why should some poor porter lift all your crap ! I am all for porters , limit should be 50lb/ 23kgs. It's not their fault your bag weighs like cement !

This was my first review that I seen from this channel and I don’t know about anyone else, but the person in the video comes across as a pretty rude person. I understand that it is an expensive product and you want it’s worth but there’s a line between an amenity/perk and flat out entitlement to receive a service. I also don’t really understand why you called a fellow passenger a “wanker” (I’m going to assume that is a language issue) and the comment about the UAE government and its videography policy? I know they have rules but that was some very rash commentary about their government and also plenty of other CZcamsrs filmed the airport without issue before so I’m confused about the statement.
his paid a lot so why shouldn’t he complain about it?

Outstanding detailed video and loved the food & beverage choices. I do have two questions. I don't fly very often now but when I did fly in business class always picked up two boxes of chocolates like Callebaut or Godiva to give to the flight crew. One for up front and the other for those working in economy class. I was wondering if you ever do anything like this? Secondly, ifs it proper etiquette to tip at the end of a meal service in the lounge before your flight departs? I've never used a lounge as I tend to arrive at the airport as late as I possibly can. Thank you again for taking the time and putting forth much effort to share such a quality video.
Thanks for checking in ! I had a wonderful summer indeed. To answer your questions, I tip at the lounge where they offer sit down service all the time since it’s just like a restaurant. While inflight I often ask the crew for their name at the end of the flight so I may submit compliments later on.

I spent my summer holiday with three weeks in Thaikand. We flew on Etihad in Business ckaas from MAN - ABU then ABU - BKK. Great airline with fantastic food and service. Unfortunatley I don't think we'll ever see their A380 back in the skies as CEO Tony Douglas disliks them.

I've enjoyed your reviews but maybe relax being high and mighty with the classism of first class when you don't fund your own flights.
Having watched a couple of your videos you do come across as incredibly pompous and a little obnoxious. Whilst your videos are detailed and well presented you need to make sure your expectations are realistic and don’t have a grandiose sense of yourself, seems somewhat narcissistic.

Thank you very much for another very polished and stylish review..your comments are simply poetic:) Strange is their filming hyteria in the airport - as you certainly know once again is the much more lieral country than Abu Dhabi..and once again religion is used as an excuse. I agree it looks like avery good and enjoyable product. The decline of Etihad seems to show only in the wine list - which is simply cheap for First Class. A 2016 Bordeaux runs in the 20 Euro range in retail..same for the italan wine. This is a range served by EK and QR in their business class, while EK serves F wines in the 150 to 300 € range in the air . Our poor european airlines like KLM of course dont hesitate to serve you 9 Euro wines in Business. Yet, you did the right thing to choose the Graves which was a bit sticking out of this Business Class lowland:))) Did i miss the caviar btw?

Although there are food and beverage options on flights, it is unfortunate that Etihad, alongside other muslim-owned airlines, that provide alcohol (forbidden in Islam) to attract mostly its non-muslim passengers. There are non-alcoholic alternatives too. However, Etihad is afraid that it will lose its business/first class passengers if changes are made.

With all due respect, all the part related to the "religion prevents videography, and that the government don't want you video record what ever you want to video record, and that police officers enforcing that", I just wona clarify that, the government of the UAE is one of the top countries in the world, that respects the personal liberty, and to put it in other words (everyone is equal, what ever their religion or Nationality), so it would be better if you keep your personal agenda a side and give a will deserved recognition to the Government and the effort they are doing to become on of the top countries in society and Social life security. You have to understand that even in the most devoloped western countries you could be alienated for being gay.
And you have to understand that respecting other countries religions and laws dose not mean that the country is restricting your liberty, you just have to respect the culture of that country, go online and have a look at how many gays are living their life and even enjoying it better than their own home countries, with all due respect, open your mind and" start experiencing not just judging from what you hear on the online platforms".
