ABOUT:
Radio 702 is a talk radio station based in Gauteng. Over 40 years, we have become a positive force for change. We don’t just report the news - we make sense of it and hold those in power to account. We believe in the transformative power of information and dialogue and that access to different ideas promotes understanding and changes lives. The station has built a reputation for pursuing the truth relentlessly and getting the answers and this is achieved through fearless interrogation.
An exceptionally fine person who used his musical Talent to bring races and cultures together respectfully. God help all of us to carry on his work. With love and prayers from Patrick
Johnny will be missed and remembered forever, he is a humble giant and son of Africa Lala ngokuthula qhawe lakithi sohlala sikukhumbula.
A hero indeed. Very well said.
Africa's son has gone home. Hamba kahle soka😢. Tsela tšhweu! Luyehlile!! May God comfort all the family. 🙏🏿🙏🙏🏼🙏🏾

What an unbelievable gift Johnny gave us! Goodbye, he has gone now on his final journey! Thank you 702 for this amazing interview.
Johnny Clegg is not a white or a Zulu he is what the word Human should be.
Johnny you have touched my late life at 67! I love you. What you are and all you have done!! Just amazing.
What an incredible performer, singer, dancer, anthropologist, humanitarian. His physical presence will always be missed. Sympathy to his family, friends, fellow musicians and fans

Today is your crossing Johnny...
I only found your spirit a few years ago, but your story and respect for people has taught me new values and perspectives. I will cherish my memory of you forever.
Thank you. Merci. Dank je wel. Dankie. Ngiyabonga.
Zulu le blanc...
great unifier of national groups...clans... communities...et al all over South Africa...
Spirit of a great heart... Day of Resurrection going to be wonderful - sleep well until that promised day...
R.I.P.
What a human being!! Awesome!!
What a great human!
This is still SO beautiful… ❤
Thanks for sharing...love this man and saddened to know that he is struggling with his health. Please include him in your prayers .
His Rhodesian background explains SO much ...
I had a similar childhood...Southern & Northern Rhodesia had such an influence on me as a white kid - the Sadza & brisket & onions around a huge dug out square fireplace outside Fernando's house... he was our Housekeeper from Mozambique...told us folklore tales whilst doing his job as Batman (valet/ironer) of my dad's army uniform ... made our childhood days magic... so when coming to The Union then 1961 - was quite a shock to see how disrespectfully the African people were treated... generally...
I just couldn't understand that I as a 'foreigner' could LIVE, WORK & MOVE AROUND ANYWHERE IN SOUTH AFRICA WITHOUT A PASS... this fact astounded me at the INJUSTICE of the Apartheid system that the local indigeny could not...
Mans inhumanity to his fellow man...
Watched this clip several times now and 5 years later I remain humbled to have discovered this amazing man and his sense of right in a country that was so lost in a system that ascribed privilege based entirely on race. As Johnny says, no one owns culture, we lend from other cultures to form ours. I love how he showed us this amazing isiZulu culture.
His music will never be forgotten nor the man. A real legend RIP
An honour to have known you
a hero is no more / thankyou for everything and see you in heaven
Thank you...RIP
So good...
I am hard pressed to think of a more authentically or more broadly humanitarian person than Johnny Clegg.
I am a big fan of JC, been listening to him, & attending concerts since the early 80s. The significance of his legacy, is hard to exaggerate. as is the confluence of his time on earth, w/ that of Madiba Mandela. & what an awesome beauty & erudite interviewer in the person of the goddess that is, Ms. Izana Mosaka. (Almost a Japanese name ! What a cosmopolitan jewel !!!
what a decent human being.
🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
Grande, único. D.E.P Johnny.
come to Texas please!
I live in Texas. Got chance to see him singing in Paris-France. This man with Lucky Dube are 2 legends.
Brilliant
C'est une légende inoubliable, "white Zulu" RIP, we will always remember you
Some things can never be understood.
We have dividers such as Trump, KimJongUn, Al-Assad, Boris Johnson BUT...
we have lost this great musical artist, teacher of culture and world speaker for peace and brotherhood.
RIP white Zulu, so sorely missed by this scatterling.
Martin...Satan looks after his own...
Can someone give me the title of the song as from 31:34 to 34:48
Woza Friday?
@@bbarror thanks✋
