#love you
This is awesome I'm getting a 3D printer for my birthday and this channel gives me lots of inspiration to get printing
How exciting! You'll be able to print my designs... and make your own!
i love that
wyatt peters most likely spoilt
You can get a very nice printer for under $200... that's like the same price as a paper printer. Not really spoiling anyone with that, and the knowledge gained by using one is certainly worth much more than the investment.
U didnt get one huh
Who else had no clue who Ian Wright was until seeing this video?
same
Adrian Chen ME.
Adrian Chen Me, and I'm a soccer fan.
me.
I did not but I don't follow many sports, only racing (IMSA not NASCAR)
That worked even better than I thought - in no small part because of your artistic and practical skills. I would probably try to use ABS just because I couldn't bear the thought of leaving PLA glasses in a hot car accidentally!
Good job - The frame front of most eyewear tips forward approximately 7 to 14 degrees from vertical ( a quality known as pantoscopic tilt ).It makes it look more settled on the face and contributes to better optical performance.
Interesting, thanks for the info!
you look good in white glasses ngl
truth! but like, I don't get this ngl thing... why would you lie about a compliment?
They look amazing, but I think they look a bit too generic. Don't get me wrong, I still am digging them, but it would be awesome if you design some unique frames. Maybe try a frame with the style you used in the squeegee(?), where you made the inner pattern look through.
You know, I was gonna do that with the first style I showed.. I guess I got distracted >.
Make Anything // 3D Printing Channel So will you make more videos on designs for glasses in the future? It might make for a good mini series.
sniperkitty 3000xx Oh shut up. The one I said it to, isn't even angry. I was not hating, I just gave some constructive criticism to an artist, which is crucial. There would be no good quality art, if no one would give any criticism. If you can't take it, then gtfo.
Sameer Pervez while how they said it was rude I think what they were going for was the "but" part. As an artist I know constructive criticism is great but the whole "it's great but" is one of the worst ways to word it, even in school it was terrible to hear because it felt like the first part is a lie and it gives people the sense they can say whatever they want? Anyway I think another way you could have worded it was "I think it's great and I was wondering if you were going to try any other styles? Perhaps more ornate ones?" Also those glasses styles are actually popular among some and for a sports player larger glasses are better, speaking as someone who owns prescription sports lenses.
I hope you don't find this mean or anything I just wanted to throw my two cents in! Especially if you're going to be dealing with younger artists too since you seem to have good tastes in art!! Have an awesome day!!!!
Sameer Pervez yes
I love your videos! Fell into a dark hole of 3D pens yesterday and now im obsessed. I really enjoy your artwork!
I like the black and white glass with the W!! Ur skills r amazing, I started graphics in school this year and so far I'm loving it and u r my inspiration, thank u!!!
Great design, hope its chosen !
DDDAAAAAYM looking sharp !!! totally would wear a pair of glasses like those!!

These are awesome. Nice work
Fantastic! My printer has been out of commission for a few months and seeing your stuff always makes me extra anxious for the parts to come in. Especially this one since I wear glasses and have always wanted to print a custom pair.
loved the zoomed in outro, laughed so hard! also these are so cool, the glasses and your video. just after i started watching you, i started a creo class and your solidwork stuff has really kept that class fun for me!! i keep imagining what i could make with the software, and i guarantee i wouldnt have had fun without that. thanks for the inspiration, buddy!!
Great to hear, thanks for watching!
Omg! Im from the UK and i support Arsenal! Can't believe it's actually Ian Wright the legend!

Wow as a big football fan and an aspiring product designer this is an awesome project, another great video, thanks :D
also I loved the pair with the IW in the corner they looked really high quality even for a prototype and just great overall. :)
Ian Wright, Arsenal legend! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 That deserves a second like.
Very cool video. I've been wanting to design my own frames for a while now. I'd love to see a video on the sketching you did in Solidworks for the frames.
can we keep the zoom in outro okay thx bye
change is good. I'm sure it will change again :)
dude you are an inspiration!! I'm going into my second year of studying product design in uni and i intend on starting a youtube channel as well
Super work. also looks very good on you in white colour
they look really good on you!
I really like them!
*that's* *incredible*
These are so cool
NICE!!! they look great. I really dig the second design. :-) :-) :-) I hope you win the contest
do you have any suggestions to make a pair of glasses starting from the lenses? I've a spare pair of lenses and I would like to make a frame for them. thanks!
It will probably take a couple of revisions to get a perfect fit, but I'd start by scanning the lenses on a flatbed scanner and tracing that image to get the shape
Awesome! Spectacle frames are now on my list of things to print! :¬)
Those all are really great, as a person who loves digital design and 3D printing myself, this was really cool to watch! The style of the frames were pretty good, however, personally I would prefer smaller frames. Then again, these were specially designed for Ian Wright, not me, hope you did well in that contest!
HAHAHA that head turn at 8:52
Well done on you 🙃
This is the best channel ever
😂😂😂 You dork! 💕
Those are seriously some cute glasses. I wear glasses, and if I saw those I'd get them. 😊😊
This is really cool. I still want my eyeshadow press hahaha
I like the black glasses frame you printed
Love your videos keep up the good work ^^
Really cool
How do you render your models from Solidworks? Id like to see a video showing that process too.
Verry cool Idea.
I like it ^^
MAN!!. I love this channel and I've only watched one video. I've wanted to make glasses for myself for a while. :D :D :D :D :D
I like these glasses
Good job, and good luck.
Best regards
I think the white round lenses really cool. They suit you
This was soo cool, now i really want to get a 3d printer!!
that outro was 11/10
Cool! You can make some cool sunglasses with those. I may have my little brother help me make some with his 3D printer.
Very nice.
Amazing
Bro, you are the best! 8)
OMG I love the end
Very cool
Ian Wright Wright Wright!
You deserve 1m subs
I love this work man! What printer model do you use?
Hey, that's pretty good
anyone saw the video about a pendulum that he uploaded yesterday and then deleted after like 10mins
Marina DU I did!!
Marina DU I saw it! I thought it was just an illusion tho cuz it's only in my screen for a split second before it vanished lol
i got first i think
did any of y'all actually get to watch it before he took it down?
i watched it all
Changing colors after a few layers looks awesome. Nice technique with the sheet metal curve guide. With the prescription lenses, are there standard sizes most places carry or did you order a custom shape?
Thanks! If I win the competition, it gets custom shaped lenses.. otherwise, they're just mockups :P I may try to make a pair built around an existing lens shape
Thinking of experimenting with the old lenses next time I need new ones. Have you tried frames with T-Glase filament? That might look neat translucent, but I don't know if it would heat mold.
This is awesome, i've always wondered if it's possible to print out frames and how the material would behave when you heat it up (for inserting the lenses and adjusting). Actually the groove for the lenses is usually V shaped :) You probably could get lenses with zero dioptres if someone would be willing to edge them for you :) Well, now get a 3D printer and I can happily make plastic frames that will fit me haha
Congrats on getting 3rd Place. Just seen the announcement at MyMiniFactory.
Hey, how did u get that soft finish? Did u use sandpaper or a finishing paint or product? They look so smooth and without imperfections
How do you get and keep the lenses in the frames?
Jay Newman put them in while they're printing?
hope you win !!!!!!! ❤️
I have been wanting to do this myself, but I was wondering if you had any idea on how they are making the prescription lenses for this contest?
I'm not sure, but I think a lenscrafter can shape a blank lens to fit different glasses, as long as they have a proper groove to fit into place.
Thank you! I will have a look at your model to try and figure out the dimensions of that groove. I can't wait to start making myself some glasses, I lost my last set.
Hey, I was wondering if you'd like to make a video about the Scribbler V2 3D pen. It looks like the 7tech and I'd like to know the differences between these two pens.
question: would it possible to restore the frames on a pair of sunglasses I have?
Liam Guiritan probably
Will they melt in sunlight?
BOY
sunlight can't melt plastic frames! \s
Wilco Verhoef Boi.
The high temp pla deals well with heat.
I'm trying to remake this design in Fusion 360 for practice. Whats the best way to geet a 3d scan of my own face?
Dope.
Idunno, the glasses contrast well with your hair
you look good in glasses
hi .... i am in my first step in 3d softwares and glasses designing is thisa software ? or is it an app online for designing glasses ? thanks
i like this dude
what place did he get?
now I want to print frames for my self
I just though about how hard it would be to get the local store to make lenses for me for a custom design
Catsinelixe Holloway get a pair of glasses and then make the glasses around them!
My brother's best friends dad is Ian Wright 😂 btw, I really like the design ❤️
Hey looks cute with them on😍😋
I want one
Cool. Lol. PLEASE can you make some cool stuff for my Ken dolls? It’s hard to find classy furniture for my boys “lads pad” so it would be great to see what you come up with!
Thanks for producing such interesting videos, you’re mega
do you have a small lisp?
About how much is a 3D printer and what kind do you recommend
DAMN!!!
wich program do u use to make these designs
cool video! can u pls try to print harry potter wands? that would be very cool😂
westernponymacho omg yes 😂
Harry potter wands are like, just a cylinder
Boy this was sick
I know
What was the program you used to design or make the glasses on your pc?
Actually, the white glasses did look great on you!
"I wouldn't wear white glasses, because I'm white enough"
Legendary.
if you were to leave these in a hot car, would they warp?
I mean, for them to warp it would take heat and pressure, of course the hotter t is, the softer the plastic gets, and the easiser it is to bend, but I'd say it's unlikely, and worst case scenario you can bend them back :)
Do you have a lisp? I have never noticed
You spin my head wright round hehe
Yes
Hey Devin :)
Just wanted to ask in which program you did the awesome render :)
+Jojo Picker keyshot
Ok, now I’m going to start making my own prescription glasses frames.....LOL
