    Beautiful small farm acreage. That land looked a bit sticky and tight but thought I saw a little dust at times. I am one of the "green" guys you mentioned so thanks for giving the green equal billing. I have run some of all of it. That was an Oliver plow behind that Case. I have one for my 66 Row Crop.

The closest plow day for me was last Saturday, but it's around 50 miles away. Too far to pull a plow down the road. The tractor and plow won't fit onto the trailer together. Maybe next year!!!!

    The mystery plow on the 300 is a 34-F30. My grandfather had one for his 560. Must have been a banner day when he replaced the 8N & 10-14 plow with that setup. That Regular doesn't want to pull a straight line due to the wide wheel stance & steel doesn't have the best gription on the ground.... wet, loose, tight, dry or otherwise. Would still like to find a Regular & H on steel, regardless the issues. Want to use them on the belt, so it really doesn't matter. Regards & great vid!

    Good video. I often wonder what the landscape looked like back in the day when small farms ruled and everyone had one of those tractors on the farm. With good weather when plowing or harvest began, I’d say a ride through the country side would have revealed a ton of those tractors in the field, not unlike this video.

    A very nice plow day. Very nice to see all those old tractors working in one field. There was no Olivers, Minneapolis, or Massey Harris tractors there. Whether you like International red, John Deere, Green, Case or Allis Chalmers Orange, Massey washed out red, Oliver the other green, or Minneapolis Moline yellow, the old tractors are better than anything new. you can take one of those old tractors out of the bush, and get it back running and put it back in service. If a late model tractor sat until the engine seized, it would be scrap. But not these. Given the chance and parts, they'll run forever.

      My grandfather has an old Mf 85 gas tractor in the barn that I have loved since I was a little kid 35 years ago. That thing had no sheet metal on it since before I was born due to a fuel tank fire brush hogging in the 70's. The tin wouldn't fit back on over the deformed fuel tank, and on the east coast it's hard to find parts for that particular tractor. It hasn't run in probably 15 years now due to a power steering leak, but some day I hope to get it running again.

    Farmall Fanitic :) yes do plow day my area of Ontario Canada in August and September too with steel plus rubber wheels to with all different makes also models too! I remember when young boy age 5 to 16 my uncle Bill my dad's brother he use a 1950 Cockshutt COOP 40 43 hp 6 cylinder motor Buda to plow of McCormick Deerning # not sure but tow bar with 2 handles trip it on 2 rubber tire on front with 6 plows also disks and tire on back left side ! My dad use 1968 International 624 A 60 hp Desiel motor also John Deere 3 point hitch 4 row plow no wheels! But wild one late great Uncle Roy for his plow was 1937 Model A Ford Cle Trac he made 3 point hitch hook up with arms crank up down tow a Ferguson 2 row plow from 1945 on TEA version did on 125 acres worth each year ! Never had hydraulic hook up on 1937 Ford Model A Cle Trac and never seen another hook up too like ever and was one of kind too! John Deere Poppy John tractor are wild so many made plus did for years and models to ! Farmall Fanitic have ever seen these Tractor made rare to is Dion & Noresman made from 1940 to 1955 all were gas only ! Noresman was Canada made type use Dodge Brothers of Pick up with Flat Head 235 Cubic Inches 6 cylinder with Truck 4 speed Manual transmission floor shifter and Axle too but cool plus use Fuel tank of Cockshutt 35 to 50 tractor parts to all Row crop type tractor plus Dion too nut sure made to ! But tell both tractor were Farmall Red with Yellow Decals paint on ! If saw them though were McCormick Deerning or Farmall C to H models with 2950 Cockshutt COOP 40 set up ! Cool see too! the famall SC would out work the AC C or CA due to tire size the F20 was sold with either 2-16 or 3-12 the 300 is pul;ling a 3-14 made for the 300 standard . the SMTA was pared with 3-16 400 and 450s were sold with 3-16 fast hitch plows in my area a lot of h owners bought john deere plows because they has high speed mowboards the allowed plowing in 3rd gear and pulled easier. the SH could easily be tricked out to turn 45 to 50hp and stay at 152cid. the 504 was the same cid as the H only they turned 2200rpm and turned 46 pto HP.
    what i love about the letter series farmalls you can upgrade the engines to pull an extra bottom or go a gear faster..

    • @FarmallFanatic
      @FarmallFanatic  Před 2 lety +1

      Do you know the model of that plow

    • @tyfrank3427
      @tyfrank3427 Před 2 lety

      The 504 engine is completely different. Although the bore and stroke is the same as the H, their block is the size of a Super C. The H uses an adapter plate, the 504 does not so the block of a 504 can't fit an H. The Super H uses a C-164 engine, they are 3.5" bore and the H is 3.375" bore. You can also put a C-175 out of a 350 in a Super H. That does work. And you can go a size bigger in sleeves and pistons in the Super H and make it a C-169 like the 300 has. A stock Super H should be able to pull a 3 bottom plow in most conditions. They are quite a step up from a regular H.
