Only tractor my dad ever bought new was a 1026. Came with 5-16's sorry I don't remember the model of the plow. That duo did all of our plowing on 300 acres for 35 years. Red clay. None of that black loam here. As a boy I took many a nap on the floor of the cab lulled to sleep by the whining of the hydro. The 10 is still on the farm and belongs to me now. I plan to give it a once over next winter and get it back out in the fields. Thanks for the great video.

Great video! Nothing like Red Power under labor!!
I recognized the 450 at the 10:08 minute mark and the 21:44 . Not only have I seen it a various shows, but I met the owner several years ago (2006 I think) on the way home from the Red Power Round up in Mansfield Ohio. It was at a gas station and his trailer tire blew out. I was hauling my M from the show. We got to talking and we only lived 45 minutes from each other. I loaned him my trailers spare tire so he could get home. He brought it back to me the next day. 😆 Some Red Power memories!

Enjoyed the video! We have had a few red power. The first H my father bought new didn't have PTO and only came on steel. Later he changed over to rubber when it came available Didn't have any equipment with PTO, pull and belt driven at that time. Then a Super A No hydraulic unit on it. I still have that one. Overhauled it 42 years ago. Still going strong. Had a 450, 504, Super C, 300 row crop, another H, 806 and 5 years ago I bought a 300 International Utility with factory loader. Thanks for putting out the content!!!

I was in F.F.A. Back in 1971/72 and there were three farmers ( Garlish ) and it was the dad and his two sons and they farmed a unheard of amount of acres at the time … rented and owned over 1300 acres of prime bottom land . I would drive out too the bottoms and just sit on the hood of my 1962 Bel Aire and watch all three of those tractors pulling plows and or discs with that guttural hum of those 6 cylinder diesels driving and turning over that black dirt . Every once and awhile they would hit a patch of hard pan and those turbo would start winding up ! Brother thank you for sharing what this country boy misses , memories over fifty years ago of a fresh faced farm boy just passing time watching modern technology like the 1066 which were starting to take over more and more chores no one even thought about 15 years earlier . Great video my friend thanks for sharing a mutual passion of farming and feeding the world . 🍺🍺👍🏻

Never seen tandem plows! Looks like a nice setup! Damn nice display of RED POWER! That 5 bottom isn’t a challenge for that 1066! Neighbor pulled 6-18’s with his quite well! That Farmall 300 did an awesome job, as well as that H ! Wow what a awesome day! I had a Farmall 350 diesel we pulled 3-16 Oliver’s with it quite nicely! Man I’m envious, I miss those days!

Think 232 like Farmall H also used same motor but bored also stroke also block but bigger size plus more hp also torque! But great fuel saver and quick start up or running so nice !

Nice of that guy to let you ride. I haven't ridden a 4366 since 1975 when the farmer I worked for demoed one for a week from the dealer. It was a little under powered for a 32 foot 490 IH harrow they had it hooked to. He didn't buy it but bought a 2670 Case instead. Personally I liked the 43 better. I call them "baby Steigers"...

Dad pulled a 5x16 with a 2x16 behind with his 1936 CAT RD6 up until the 1960's. The 5x16 Deere had a beam across the hitch extending out a foot or two with a tongue running to the back for the 2x16 to hook on. They ran from midnight on Sunday night to midnight the following Saturday 24 hours a day never shutting the tractor off. The CAT had no generator so would charge batteries during the day to run improvised lights at night.

Nice plow day. Nice to see all that red power working together. Was wondering if you would get the 4 bottom 70 plow for the 756. Thanks for the video. By the way, I never said Hydros can't pull a plow but they have to pull less bottoms than a comparable gear drive tractor. The 1026 can probably pull 5 but that would be a maximum.

When I bought my house in 1976, the big acreage farmer behind us was running both a 9600 Ford with an 8 bottom and a big Allis Chalmers with a seven bottom plow, They worked that land by chasing each other around the field. The next year both plow rigs were gone, replaced by an older Case four wheel drive pulling a lashed up pair of plows: a five bottom pulling a six bottom. That rig lasted a few years to be replaced by ever bigger John Deers. I've seen a number of two plow set ups, always with different numbers of bottoms on the plows, always with the smaller plow in the lead. Any particular reason for that combination?
