Drilling A Goose Egg to Save the Chick Inside

- The last Goose chick couldn’t get enough air to get out of the egg by herself. I had to intervene. She was struggling to make the first crack. By Drilling a little hole in the ‘airchamber’ (the upper part of the egg), I tried to give her extra oxygen, and thus give her the strength to get out.
Some time ago I promised to tell you about the hatching adventure of a goosling. In order to tell you this story, I had to use a couple of images that you have already seen in the previous video about these gooselings. There are many new stories coming up, with lots of other little animals that were in need of my help! However , this one I had to tell you first.

I’m vegetarian
I just recently incubated 1 goose egg and 6 duck eggs. One of the duck eggs stopped developing halfway through, it happens, but the others were fully developed and all started to hatch.
The goose and 1 duck egg hatched fine, I had to help the other 4 duck eggs at the appropriate time. They are all alive and well right now eating and running around the yard.. If I had listened to most people online the 4 super happy healthy ducks would have died..

This is fabulous. I helped my first chicken hatch with help and she lived for many years with constant illnesses. She passed many years before her naturally hatched siblings. Don’t take this as a common way to help birds, it is done by an hero expert carer who understands everything involved to emulate a mother’s warmth and humidity.

Not gonna lie. After hatching and raising my own goose, seeing that little one finally hatch out made me cry like a baby.
Geese are a real pain in the ass to incubate lol, nowadays I just let my adult Toulouse goose handle the incubation for me, she’s not a good mother tho, but getting a few bruises from getting the babies inside once they hatch is still better than having to deal with the thousands of problems that come with artificially incubating goose eggs. Right now I am raising 5 beautiful babies :)

Ive raised multiple chicks, duckings and goslings, and holding them in your shirt is a need. Not only to keep them warm, but to keep them still lol the little buggers squirm

Like how much time is needed until they are “independent” and especially what are there needs to make them feel happy, like food, sleep, but also emotionally. Well i don't really think that's true, i just think that these videos take a long time to record - since he shows you progress of the animals' health over MONTHS.
booboo no guys, he makes loads of video over months and even a year then puts them together and edits them and posts them in order.
He has to make clips because it’s boring having a part two like saying “I put these eggs in the incubator come back in a month and check it out”
