Yea that era gets dismissed to often. Everyone says it was easy because of 12 teams. That is just like playoff basketball all year round. Every team knows each other well. They didn't have todays tech in medical, no first class travel, playing for little money all while wearing chucks. to win 11 titles with 8 in a row is insane, idc what era it is. If anyone could shutdown Chamberlain when he was averaging 50 a game he is top 10 all time. The only centers better than Russell are Kareem, Shaq and Chamberlain only because of his scoring ability. Bill Russell played outstanding defense and was one of the greatest rebounders of all time. He only averaged less than 20 rebounds in 3 out of 13 total seasons.
