    You are the first person to explain this. Everyone else just wants to talk about the issues it causes, not what a bad one looks like or what its actually called. Thank you sir.

    They are called Oeticker clamps. Sometimes they are called ear clamps or double ear clamps depending on style. There is a special cutter that makes removal very easy. I got mine on Amazon for $60. You can get cheaper ones but I got a double action one which makes it easier to use in tight spaces. Worth the money guys.

    Hey hope your well with your health, I drive a 2004 Jetta GLI 1.8t and it has bank 1 system too lean and it idles fine but has a little drop in it at times and the main part is when I get into boost it tends to studder and it seems like the injectors I would think but what would you think it is?

    I have lean code saying to replace maf did that as well as some pcv hoses and pcv. I’ve also got a completely cracked exhaust after the downpipe right before both 02 sensors. My symptoms are rough idle car shuts off at stops. Wonder if the exhaust could cause this?

    I have a 2006 VW Passat 2.0t. I had a misfire Cylinder 1. I replaced all 4 spark plugs and all 4 ignition coils. It idles fine, but when you give it gas it runs like it is missing bad.
    Also, had a code for crankshaft "SLOW RESPONSE". Can you help me?

    • @MrJerryHsu
      @MrJerryHsu Před 5 lety +2

      Randy Wiggins Simple things first. Replace your fuel filter located under passenger side.
      Check for vacuum leaks. And check all fuses.
      If you have cold start rough idle and long crank with low fuel pressure, then possibly high pressure fuel pump failure maybe from worn camshaft intake exhaust. Check your cam follower on the pump. Or faulty crank shaft sensor, located left top behind engine on passenger side.
      If no power in 3k-5k I would check for dirty throttle body and then think about cleaning intake valves if issue persists.

      Hey Brian, go to my VW Playlist. I just put it up today and look for the video about a lean code. It causes the car to run really rough and it its just an air flow problem. I'm not at home at the moment to look up the specific name of the video for you, but I will try to check really quick from my phone and see if I can locate the title. This code causes the car to idle very rough and causes multiple misfires too.

    Hey I got a p0171 code checked for leaks with starter fluid n hissing, but I got nothing . Car runs good only noticed a lil loss of mid range power. Like between 3-4 gear . Almost unnoticeable. But the strange thing is my transfer pump was humming real loud but the noise stoped n all of a sudden I get the chk engine light p0171 could that cause it? I’d think I’d get a low pressure code? I’m disabled n spending 500-1000 $ on a repair is not in my limited budget. 1 more thing is I changed my primary pump not long ago, could I have not tightened the big ring on the fuel pump n gettin air into the tank improperly sealed. I changed it like 2/3 months ago maybe around the time I was feeling the loss of midrange power? Sorry for the documentary. Please help I need it👍🏻 also get better I know how it feels to be down or I’ll . Also I have a 09 Tiguan s 2.0t

    If this is the problem for the P0171 code, is it still good to drive the car a Lil bit until I have time to fix it?

    • @gregorythoman8281
      @gregorythoman8281 Před 5 lety

      Poor gas mileage and the catalytic converter can get screwed up. The engine is sensing a lean condition that is not real so it adds more fuel. The excess fuel is not burned so it gets dumped into the exhaust. The converter trys to burn the excess hydrocarbons and it will get very hot and can be damaged. If you have to drive make it very short trips.
