- so many think you need a lot of strength to cut with a sword. btu do you really, lets take a look how easy it is, and how little effort it takes to cut.

Of course I need it! Please give me two forces to cut.
Nice workout. and you are absolutely right in what you say 👍
Thank you
I’ve found that using a Dao especially it doesn’t even matter if the blade is sharp or not you can put little to no effort to cut right in half as long as edge alignment is there 😊😊
Great Info Alex...Not speaking as a great cutter..but my outlook is: You need speed and some power for harder materials like double rolled matts or thick bamboo, it all depends on the target and your objective, but totally agreed form and edge alignment trump all before power and speed come into play
I am more familiar with board breaking, but it is similar. Strength, technique, and follow through is the most important.
Never tried breaking board's, I can see how that is.
Great “no effort” cuts my friend, awesome vid!
Thank you armor
😊😊😊😊
Intriguing the concept of strength for cutting is subjective to the target
Most definitely
Structure surpasses, easy. Target reading and enkessen matter. Sharpness is a close second. Those folks with the belt sander got it cheap, no effort
Just a bottle, afterall. Sharpness matters more vs light targets, less vs hard
@KF1 there was going to be more to the video, but it got messed up. Because human skin is on average 1.02 g density, and a water bottle with water in it, is 1.0g density, so it's close enough to simulate it.
@@gargoylesblade Fair point. Was never one for sword combat, I just like target cutting
