I followed the link to Amazon and read the colorful, imaginative description they gave - awesome. They are very clear about what you will, and will not, recieve - right down to the "beautiful cotton sword bag," and the cardboard box..
They certainly could use some new and recent comments in their comments section though..
Glad you got something you are thrilled with.
This is the "high" that we are always looking for - the one that keeps us addicted..

Bohihyu makes a nice sword, my other one has held up great, now time will tell if this one does

..But will it "play the role of deterring the bad guys..?"
..Or will it help "defend against dangerous animals, while camping or enjoying other outdoor activities..?"
Those "Endless Uses" are effing awesome..
Bohihyu is now on my radar, thanks to your solid endorsement.. ..And some kick-ass marketing effort with those outlandish comments..
I can appreciate a little bit of "outlandish-ness.."
But I think I want a Yellow themed sword next - maybe a yellow scabbard w/ yellow dyed samegowa..
      ..Maybe call it my "Banana-Katana.."
..I hereby give you all licensing permission to call your next favorite sword the "Rosanna Danna Danna Katana.."
..But it must be kitten themed - "Unruly" kitten themed..

Sorry, I misquoted.. "ferocious beasts," not dangerous animals..
Yeah, their words are so much better..

@KF1 in my collection, I would say, my siwode, the shape of the tsuka and that wrap, it's just about perfect and the blade is well made

For a wave theme I'd had gone with blues and blacks unless it's a blood wave them then we getting some were anyone else want a Gothic style katana

It flows well with the way it's put together, but that color with blue and black would work to for it.

    aye new sword!!!

  • @peterchristiansen9695

Dude; that’s a nice overall package in the ‘reasonable budget sword’ range! A lot of bang-for-your-buck right there, to be sure. 👍🏻 Forge-folded as well as differentially hardened, with an attractive hamon - paired with decent quality koshirae to boot. Non too shabby, I would say! More often than not, you’d expect (at least if you’re a little more experienced as a collector) that at least part of the whole might be somewhat “meh” - at this price point. Oh; and the ‘folded steel concern’ really only comes into play, if the user chooses to “go overboard” in their cutting practices (like uncontrolled cutting at really dumb targets)… Btw; I hope things will pan out with your new camera setup! ☺️ You just need to figure out how to make the camera focus on the closeups instead of the background stuff! 😁 Alternatively; put your adorable little cat right next to the objects you want to capture (Kittie clearly enjoys those “Mr. DeMille”-moments) - seems like that worked gangbusters with your old camera… 😉 PS: ‘Cat safety first’ applies; needless to say 🐱⛑️!!!

@peterchristiansen9695 thank you, and yes it's definitely worth the price, it's now one of my favorites, handles great to. As far as the camera, it's going great, and have learned a lot now. Kitties safety is always our top priority when swords are around.

Sweet looking sword for 150$ having to sharpen it out of the box kinda sucks. But I've had to sharpen pretty much every sword I've bought so I can't really hold that against it. And its pretty common sense that if you collect blades, you're either going to have to learn how to sharpen or find a guy. Because everything dulls eventually with use.

It's not a deal breaker for me either, at least I can put an edge on it that I like. Plus it didn't take long, took an edge quick.
