I said it before and I'll say it again. We need a schlegdaddy senior high school picture
Wow! Thanks... u made up my mind for me. I was always 51/49 for a shoot... now im with u... work!
One of the biggest things that makes me believe this was all one big elaborate work was actually something someone pointed out recently that even Jeff didn’t point out in the video and that was basically the Montreal screwjob was the climax of one big story arc of Bret being “screwed“ that started on the final raw before wrestlemania 13 when Bret lost the cage match to Sycho Sid and then lost his shit. Think about it during that promo he starts yelling about being “screwed“ by everybody.
"Shawn Michaels, boy toy." So funny when Bret would say that.
McMahon's reaction never felt real to me.
Yeah, admittedly I'm also one of those people who leans more towards it being a "Work", but at the same time, I've never really taken time to over analyze it. If it was a work, it's runner up for greatest ever, because he were are, 20 years later, and still talking about it.
3. Of the 5 members of the Kliq.(Hall, Nash, and Waltman) have said they believe it was a work. Waltman and Nash have both said they didn't ask HBK or HHH about because they didn't want their friends to lie to them.
They made money on it. And let’s not forget. Bret is the son of a promoter. Taught to always protect the business.
to me as a bret hart fan...
The biggest thing that people say is Bret took it so personal right.
On top of all of that, after spitting on the owner of the company and punching him in the face, Bret would have been arrested. I cant believe people still believe it was a shoot, my mom still thinks it was real lol
To be honest i think da biggest kept secret is Vince bought all of the company's years ago before he told us
U damn right its a Work. And let me add on. Bret & Vince knew Bret was not gonna fit in the direction WWE was going. And Bret is a man of Honor and Tradition. He put over people on the way out....gave Shawn more Heel Heat and created the biggest Heel in the Attitude Era Mr.McMahon.
I think it was a work that was set in motion the minute Bret came back the year before. Too much "screwing" of Bret Hart throughout that year for Montreal to be a shoot imo.
It's still real to me, Damnit!
I'm a bret hart fan, and i hope you are right, because then bret will the best worker in the business.
Well done
Everyone with major power positions during this time like JR, Prichard, & Cornette who weren't involved said it all legit. I mean it makes sense for it to be a complete work for how everyone benefitted & how they literally pointed the camera at Bret indicating he was going to WCW but I don't think it is.
i was same age as u jeff i was 14 yr old 8th grade when 97survior series screwjob happen. pro wrestling was great back then compettion wwf, wcw, and ecw.
To borrow an old phrase, supposing that the Monteral Screwjob was a work and that Bret didn't know in advance is like supposing that a woman can be a little bit pregnant.
