More reviews by this guy, please. Clear, direct, thorough presentation and none of the “I’m so clever” word play and kitsch that the other guy spews. Excellent, helpful information and easy to watch and hear.
Appreciate the love, brother! 🤘
EPS is a game changer. Ride one…
@@tylerdebruyckere4940 I’m not a trail sled guy but I can envision that if the technology advances to the point EPS is light enough to be adapted to mountain sleds that all manufacturers will make it an option for the premium mountain sled models.
@@PixelRacer64 I’m not sure who you’re referring to but I was referring the older gentleman with the odd hair patch on his chin. The “another insightful walk around” guy.
A long in the tooth design means the kinks have been sorted. I imagine if you buy this sled it will be a change the oil every 3k miles and ride sled for years and years.
And that is worth something.
Great review keep them coming please
Hell yes EPS is the bomb! Would never own a sled without it again!
Had Ski-doo and Lynx before, but due to laziness and adulthood hitting (kids) i swapped first to Sr Viper and then to Sidewinder. Wish i'd done it sooner. 😅
I was raised on snowmobile and I’m Canadian so I should support ski doo but I’ve had every brand sled and if you want something to keep and you will get sick of riding it before it wears out. Buy Yamaha there’s nothing will last as long or take as much abuse
Yes we are!
Oh the LTX LE EPS ABC XYZ 123! Nice
😆
Yamaha holds on to chassis FOREVER. They kept the Apex on the snow for a decade. The Sidewinders are fantastic machines and a ton of fun but I wouldn't want on as my only ride.
What happens wgen yamaha no konger makes parts? Will aftermarket keep it going down the road?
Kinda like to see Yamaha move to Ohlins as their shock provider of choice.
Someone needs to translate this to, "When you hammer the loud handle out on Kevlar Lake, you'll be reaching a C note before the competition can say, "I have regrets"." As it was, I couldn't understand a thing he said. 😂
Artic cat keeping sidwinder in business? Or Yamaha?
All my riding is ditch banging so I love my Assault but if I was a trail guy this is the sled
Assault is a great sled! 👍
Same as the 9000RR correct. Except the clutches and skis
Kind'a what I was thinking, but the Yami is $2,000 LESS than the Cat. Makes no sense.
If your a new sled every two years guy i'd get the eps but if not I probably wouldn't. One less thing to fix.
This guy new? He’s good
Thanks Jeff! 👊💥🎉
Agree ! Let him do a few more.
Now if they would just knock off $3000 off each model in the lineup, they would start to be competitive in the market. Most people buy these for low maintenance long mile performance sleds. For a while they were the only option in that category. Ski-doo has the 900R Turbo that does much of the same thing at a much cheaper price point. Yamaha at this point needs to do 2 things. Drop the price and update that ancient display. Its hard to believe these sleds come from Japan. They should have the best displays on the market. After all, their cars have been way ahead of the game on displays for years.
If u look at the data plate,it says made in Thief River Falls,MN.I agree with the cluster though, its time for better.
I agree
"in the absence of a complete overhaul though,..."
That is absolutely vicious coming from a reviewer. The rest of the way is even bloodier. The only redeeming value is it's re-sale value, LOL!
It has a lot of redeeming qualities and is a great sled, but I mean it's the same sled for 2024 with new paint. No beating around the bush about...🤷♂
No AC would rather spend the new cluster money on marketing here.
Maybe I’m a wimp but the lack of a windshield would prevent me from doing high miles lol
I'm with ya! That is NOT a windshield.
A 25K sled with 1990's gauge cluster LOL
It's a joke Yamaha has done zero they obviously don't care about sleds anymore. It's sad because they are definitely capable of building some nice sleds if they wanted to make another run at the 2 stroke market.
@@ericfleming347 they aren't capable of building sleds, arctic cat makes them for Yamaha
fancy cluster is kid geek stuff , i love simplicity on this cluster, who looks at a dash doin hyper speeds anyway
@@nighttrain3926 I'm glad you like it, maybe you will get one for your sweet 16 kid
I have Yamaha bikes, audio, everything. Yamaha slapped us loyalists in the face.
Not my cup tee, like ride off trail more than blast down trail.
Yeah yamaha riders are loyal, thats why they ride arctic cats...lol
Hahahah 😂
Why would you want a harder seat? These are long distance machines not motocross bikes, comfort is king.
For that exact reason. On long trips I find the seat isn't supportive enough. Slightly firmer foam would help.
Do anyone really buy "Yamaha" sleds anymore? I never ever see them, even more rare than green Arctic-Cat's.
The online ordering of ‘24 Sidewinders sold out in minutes. Plenty of people buying them.
Eps is the real deal on these things.
probably depends on where you live. in MN there are A LOT of Arctic cats and Yamahas. That's not to say there aren't skidoos around here but it is scarce compared to arctic cats and polaris whereas I'm sure in some place like Canada you'd see skidoos everywhere. I see more 90s polaris and arctic cats out on the trails than 2015+ skidoos.
30k
Out the door, yeah probably that at least.
10+ year old chassis
Yep.
He’s lying on the price difference the srx is 22000 plus but the model he’s showing is about 17 to 19 thousand depending on eps and upgrades I’ve been pricing all the new sleds and there all in about the same price range on similar models
Ahhhhh, I love being called a liar and then being "corrected" with the same pricing I provided. Go check your facts, champ. The MSRP listed for this sled last year was exactly as shown on the screen 4:54. For 2024, they're even higher at $19,999 US and $25,999 Canadian.
These sleds fit finish quality is absolutely garbage
Yeah-maha? You say Yamaha funny.
No, you do.
