Love those old cars. Good movie. I was excited to watch this cause my daddy run moonshine for his cousin. The police chased him all over the eastern states. When they finally caught up with him they beat him within an inch of his life. So he drove to California and enlisted in the USAF and did 2 tours to Vietnam and retired from the USAF after 29 years.

Moonshine running was the roots of NASCAR with the shine runners modifying their car's to outrun the cops and then transferring their skills to racing, this is a good movie that I'd never heard of before so thanks for making it available to the people.
Very true, my daddy adored Nascar racing. It was a HUGE event in my house when racing started lol!

Never heard of this movie before. Just finished watching it. I didn’t expect much but I’m actually glad I watched it. It was a very good movie and very well made. Great acting and driving scenes.

I used to go to the cinema at least 3-4 times a week when I was a teen, there were always loads of movies that didn't get any advertisement that were better than the big budget box office smashers. Many of the most famous directors and actors of the last few decades cut their teeth on movies like this
(maybe not this last batch of actors, mid budget movies have died in more recent years, Matt Daemon, among others, is V vocal about them and the issues of only massive budget films being backed by the studios.)
Personally I think some of the best movies and many of the V good but not the greatest of all time type films came out between 82 ish and 08, the 90's were amazing though for the big screen.
My grandpa made moonshine durning the Great Depression to support his family of eleven children. He didn’t drink it. Once the G- men came after him. And he ran them off. He was a huge man and strong as a ox. He was about 6ft 5 inches and about 275+ lbs.
Anything Randy is in I watch 👍 most under raided actor ever ! He's a talented artist !

I remember seeing this movie first time in the late '90s when I was just a kid, and I remember it became one of my favorite movies back then. Over time I forgot about it, but recently I've wanted to watch this again. A big thanks for the upload! This movie is as good as I remember: cool cars, car chases, great characters, story, and that atmosphere. They don't make them like that anymore. And Kyle MacLachlan is awesome.

The kind of thing Burt Reynolds
and Hal Needham used to do a lot.
No runners are gonna crash thru a Federal roadblock and 1- Tear their car all to heck that they spent a lot of money building, 2- Push their luck by busting thru a Federal roadblock. They do everything to avoid a federal Roadblock. They would go a different route, wait till the feds go home, or just wait a few weeks till they give up and go home. It just makes the moon more valuable after a short dry spell. Some customers would drive to them, if they were friends.
It makes a more exciting movie, but it's far from reality

My father's first assignments with the ATF back in the late 50's was chasing Moonshiners. He has some great stories.

Im impressed, they didn't explode the cars after they wrecked, too many do to awe moviegoers. This and to a great extent still is Tennessee today, we haven't had a sheriff that wasn't corrupt in my county in about 50 years. but when they're hometown grown that's the way it is, they either grew up with or are related to.
I love these old cars in this movie...The Sheriff car looks like an old 1957 Studebaker President....The head light Bezels are very similar to 57 chevy Headlight Bezels
Good film but I still say nothing compares to Thunder Road with Robert Mitchum

My Grandfather Ran A Little Moonshine in Montana During The Depression. His Parents Owned a General Store, They Made it Through That Era OK, and Because My Grandfather Worked for The Store He Was Able to Get His Driver's license @ Age 13 1/2. He Bought His Own Used car. Then Had A New Military Surplus V-12 Engine put in By The Town Mechanic / Blacksmith. Him and My Grandmother Went Back in The Early 90's He Wanted to See if Either if The Store Was Still standing, or if He Could Figure out Where it was. The Town Was Up To One Traffic Light. @ That Time.
