My heart breaks for her. She deserves a quiet “normal” life filled with love. She was abused her entire life and now she’s going to be abused by content creators.

Someone literally asked on gypsys tiktok if she'd watch and do a reaction video watching The Act tv show and I said to them they shouldn't be asking that its insensitive and she has alot of trauma and watching a TV show reenacting her trauma would likely trigger her and be highly upsetting as it would dig up emotions and memories from the past.

That woman had her life taken away from her twice. Once by her mother and secondly by the court system. Not only did she have to resort to killing her mother due to the DEEP control and abuse she had on her....now the Internet is basically doing the same. You can't tell me these people are not giving out the same vibes as her mother, just for a different outcome.
To me it's a lose lose situation. She can attempt to keep her life private and have people actively violate her privacy continously or she can live a public life and be accused of just wanting attention like her mother. The price of public scrutiny in anyone's life is huge and she didn't even have the option for freedom without it. I didn't think the show portrayed him as the victim, but I may be missing something you have noticed. I think the showrunners biggest error was casting Evan Peters as Dahmer. Peters did a good job, but a lot of people fancy him :/ and they knew this when they casted him. I think they wanted him because he is popular and hardworking, but in the process they made Dahmer somewhat desirable. Not my opinion but I am painfully aware of how other people feel. They aren't able to put their feelings about Petars aside for one tv series.

@@aporue5893 She had someone end her mothers life - after years of physical and mental abuse. She needed therapy. Blame all the doctors who failed her and allowed her to go through all the horrible medical procedures that to this day affect her life. Her mother was not a good person.

The problem in retrospect is that she had her perspective which she admitted needing out of this situation, and not having a better plan. She tried escaping and it ended up badly. You do realize she was chained to the bed for two weeks after that? She was repeatedly beaten and starved for years AFTER that? You do realize she was fighting for her LIFE?
He was not. He was not simply fighting in the same way she was. He was taking advantage and indulging his own fantasy which is disgusting. She was not perceptive or capable of seeing him because she had little to no coping skills but he did. He had ways to offer solutions that she did not know.
He WANTED to kill her mom.

When I was younger I listened to a podcast talking about the story of Gypsy Rose. When I found out she was finally out of jail I was so happy as her case is something quite taunting and I recognize she has been through so much. I'm young and I could have never thought influencers would be making videos praying for her to make tiktoks.
These freaks dont need Gypsy to do anything, they need to go see a doctor and take their mental health medication ASAP. This is heartbreaking... She should sue the hospitals that did those surgeries as a legit patient with RARE liver diseases I went through years of hell until I got dx. And it took a MRCP & LIVER BIOPSY to confirm what I had. So what kind of clinic or drs just go by a parent's word without doing their own procedures & examinations to confirm before resorting to surgeries & giving medications that have side effects that cause more issues, especially if you DON'T have the disease to require the medicine . They could have damaged her organs , it had already took her teeth. Those hospitals and drs need to be investigated.

This is exactly what I'm saying, the system had a part in this too.
There was doctors who got suspicious but by that time her mother moved them and she also stole prescription pads and doctors official pads to write her own diagnosis on it. She was very calculated and evil. If Gypsy didn't go to the extreme measure of eradicating her she would still be in that house under her mother's care receiving surgeries etc because her mother had just gotten that good over years and years of fooling not just society but hundreds of doctors.
Dee dee has a bit of medical experience so she could accurately describe symptoms, whilst also telling gypsy to not do the talking, combined with the convincing circumstances of Katrina. So Dee dee could create a pretty good lie

What these kinds of people do, is continuously switch doctors. Anytime one denies them what they want, they simply go to a different hospital. And I can't remember why the doctors who think something's off don't mark it down, but I think it's to avoid lawsuits. If they accuse someone without proof or are proven to be wrong it would cause massive issues for both the hospital and the doctor. I might be misremembering though.

@@rosiered3403 I can't remember exactly I was watching, I love true crime docs. One episode was on by proxy case and they broke it down how they avoid detection for so long.
But the longer it goes on, and the more doctors they see, the more suspicious it becomes. But if you have a very sick child and nobody can figure out what's wrong with them it's not unusual to doctor hop. God knows I saw so many specialists when I first got CRPS, as it's relatively unknown.

i think it’s because everybody found out about her story online, through youtube or tiktok so they assume she’s okay with herself being a social media star, it is not for everyone :/ also going through all the incorrect medical treatments she went through she experienced a lot of developmental delays - i hope she isn’t abused and taken advantage even more than she already has been through :( it is also the media which encouraged her mum and gave her her platform so it would make more sense for her to be media shy

I feel so bad for Gypsy Rose the fact that her own mother made her go through so much trauma is very sad, but the fact that people, tiktokers, and influencers want her to make content is just beyond on me and disgusting. I understand that we all wanna know the story behind what happen to her, but everyone should leave her alone and let her get use to what the world has become especially into a new year. She needs to adjust to what's happening now and I hope she's doing well especially getting use to this so called "new world" when the time is right she'll share her story but for now everyone needs to leave her alone and let her relax. The way her mother treated her and the things she went through. I just do not understand how they put her in prison. I don’t even know how she killed her mother, but basically she’s was escaping from being like held hostage and tortured.
Her boyfriend killed her mom. She was behind it. I don’t blame her. She did what she had to do to not being killed by her mother.
