My ex inherited $8 Million dollars about 5 years ago. He still lived in his fibro house with 30 year old furniture that was second hand even back then. He recently had a massive stroke and never enjoyed his money as he need to go to a nursing home permanently
I know someone in a similar "marital" situation, being strung along and doing all kinds of tasks and labor for some delusional abusive woman they once loved, and maybe still do. The guy I know is super quiet, helpful and kind, not one to say no easily, and that kindness gets abused and manipulated. it's not kink, it's mostly narcissists toying with people.
EDIT: OMG the "I need you to pick me up" thing is so familiar too. No matter what happens, and no matter what the person is up to, or where they are, they have to drop everything now and go get them. and they will!! (because if they don't, the shit will hit the whole fan factory!)

It's basically a mental illness I say. You save for the thrill of saving. You don't really get anything else out of it. Just like some people do unethical things to make money for the thrill of making the money even though they have no real need to make anymore money. It's a thrill to do it. You can see this in her face when she said she saved 30 cents.

Tried the cat nail caps & they don’t stay on plus they make it impossible for your cat to retract its claws so they are uncomfortable for the cat. I found this out after I had put them on so wouldn’t do them again so you might not have known this either.
