Just watched it tonight for the first time. My grandmother wanted to watch a horror movie tonight and she asked me to look for a good one on Netflix. I suggested we watch this one after seeing it was on there so we watched it. It was so good. I really enjoyed it. Good scares and keeps your heart racing throughout the entire movie. It was worth the watch. Definitely will be rewatching it someday.

Why did they have to put a "ghost/demon" woman in this film? It would be so much scarier if we didn't see the spirit/malevolent force that is attached to the doll! It makes things more terrifying when you have to imagine what the demon looks like instead of some stupid ghostly woman floating around the house. So stupid, you should never show what the monster looks like in films especially when the monster is a demon. There are some exceptions to that, however in most films I'd rather picture what evil looks like in my head than what is shown on film because chances are what you create in your head is going to be scarier. I hope this movie doesn't suck.
All I know is, if my house were haunted, I wouldn't want to see what the fucking thing looks like. Shit flying around the room is one thing, but if I see a scary demon lady in my basement or something, I'm running for my fucking life!
I mostly agree with you. Pale-green skinned ghost girls are overused in modern horror movies. The ring girl called, she wants her gimmick back. What exactly do you mean when you say you don't want the monster to be seen? Do you mean like darkness always surrounds it? That does seem pretty scary (like the Midnight Man), but seems like a cheap and easy thing to do. Do you mean like things just happen out of nowhere? That just sounds like Final Destination. Or do you mean like a thing of insanity that haunts their minds, but something that the viewer doesn't see? That would interest me yet bore me without any other horror element. I don't really know.

I recommend this film to anybody who likes being scared or creeped out! As a horror fan, not a lot of films creep me out. And I although I thought the first film was great, it didn't scare me one bit...but this film has tons of suspense, jumps, and creepy old fashioned horror! It was amazing! So far the best horror film of the year! If you were a fan of The Conjuring, you'll be a bigger fan I of this! And just clearing this up, this is a film on its own. Not apart of the conjuring franchise, but its related to it. Like a cousin almost. This Conjuring 2 is titled The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist which is based on a true story, and one the most popular supernatural cases in the world. Anyways, I give this film 5/5! Great film!

Bruh i was just 7 yr old and my cousin requested me to watch this movie , i did watch it with my eye's close when there is a tense scene and ears covered by my hands. And i literally cried for whole day (mostly because in the end of the movie they said " based on reality") And i couldn't sleep alone for 2-3 years
