I F**KING despise these O2 sensor plugs on my Xterra, literally hours spent yesterday unplugging all 4 of them to replace the cats. You need 3 hands to unplug them but can only reach them with 2 fingers.
You should see if you can rent (borrow) the socket from your local auto parts store. I went to Auto Zone and they just needed a refundable deposit. I'm not sure of the size, but it has a special slot in it for the cable. It makes the job so much easier.
Thanks for the video! I’m about to tackle this myself and really appreciate you showing the tools you used at the end 👍
Thanks for posting this and for not having a shaky video like others lol
Thanks for sharing the video, it was very helpful because that sensor is the one that was damaged in my car. Thanks from CRC
Thanks you sir, I'll be going after this fix soon. Cheers.
So you didn't have to replace all 4 sensors? How did you know which one to replace?
scan tool
The code reader will tell you which bank

What size socket is the o2 sensor?

Was this bank 1?
I believe that the passenger side on this year of Xterra is bank 1.
Did you cover your TPMS with tape? 🤣
No but, I probably should have.
