    I dont think I've seen a mod guide for this one yet! Awesome my friend. Really thorough too and seems pretty simple enough to do. Keep up the great content brother!

      Really !! That's very uncharacteristic, most rival blasters enjoy a long and happy life with upgraded springs.

    I gotta do this to my Hades. Same here, mine was primed out of the box. I was a bit disappointed in that. I'd love to get it at 100-110 as to hopefully not effect the accuracy.

    • @projectnerf7920
      @projectnerf7920  Před 5 lety +2

      Yea buddy, gotta love that Hasbro Quality Control!! But it was actually a fairly easy mod. I didn't even put the most K26 in I possibly could. If you really wanted to push it, you could probably get a little more out of it............................ Chris

    Can you put a more power full spring in the nurf hades?

    • @projectnerf7920
      @projectnerf7920  Před 2 lety

      You could certainly put more k26 in than I did, and get more than 100 fps.

  • @TheGreatGonzales777
    @TheGreatGonzales777 Před 6 lety +2

    How does this only get 100 when a Kronos gets 130ish with a K26? The plunger tube doesn’t look too different.

    • @projectnerf7920
      @projectnerf7920  Před 6 lety +3

      I'm sure I could have gotten more out of it. I didn't go for the max amount of k26, she can definitely handle a little more, and improving the seal a little and you could also kill that dead space in the front of the plunger too. One of these days I'll go for broke and see what I can really get out of it.................... Chris

    How many coils was the spring you used? Im wondering because I am going to mod mine. Thanks.

    • @projectnerf7920
      @projectnerf7920  Před 4 lety +1

      I actually didn't count them. I just cut the k26 the same length as the stock spring. I didn't really want to increase the power, simply to bring it back to that 95 - 100 fps par that we expect from rival. If you were trying to make it more powerful you could certainly add a few coils of k26, beyond the length of that stock spring......................... Chris

    can we use an upgraded kronos spring?

    • @projectnerf7920
      @projectnerf7920  Před rokem

      I would think so, k26 works fine in both blasters, and they both have a very robust set of internals.

    • @projectnerf7920
      @projectnerf7920  Před 5 lety +1

      I cut down a k26 to the same length as the stock spring. I didn't want it be be stronger than stock, just back up to the Rival par of 100 fps. You could certainly put more k26 in and ramp it up if you wanted to.

    Hey Chris, I was hoping you could answer a question. I got the spring in and everything back together. Everything was working great. But, when I tried out the de-prime it's catching on the gears and the it won't go back. It won't fire then to release it either. I took it apart again but, wanted to know what to look for before I put it back together.
    Thanks man!

    • @coolmagicforum6018
      @coolmagicforum6018 Před 5 lety

      I tried out a 14 coil K26. That doesn't work. It won't catch. I re did everything and now the baster fires at about 5fps. I have no idea what is wrong. Everything looks in place. It all fits back together but, the rounds travel about 10 ft. Please, do you have any ideas what it could be?

    • @coolmagicforum6018
      @coolmagicforum6018 Před 5 lety

      I got back together and working now! I'm just not gonna test the de-prime. I still couldn't get 14 coils in there. It does something weird when I put the barrels in. I couldn't figure out why.

    • @projectnerf7920
      @projectnerf7920  Před 5 lety +1

      Not real sure to be honest, I didn't have that issue, but I didn't put a huge piece of k26 in it. Maybe there's so much pressure on the mechanism due to the long one you installed???

    • @coolmagicforum6018
      @coolmagicforum6018 Před 5 lety

      I dunno, must have been something about the seal. Got it firing wonderfully now! A really nice upgrade to what it was when I got it. I can't wait to get it on a chrono at Ragnarocktoberfest!
      Thanks for the response!

    • @projectnerf7920
      @projectnerf7920  Před 4 lety

      I could have made it much stronger, but I only wanted to get back the performance that was lost from the stock spring being compressed. You could easily put a bigger K26 in and get that 130.
