- In this video, I decided to join the masses and make the hopping kangaroo toy. these wooden tooys are not only classic, but they are becoming really popular all over again. I chose to make this toy with my band saw, butt you could also use a scroll saw, coping saw, or a jig saw. It's a really simple woodworking project you can do with the family, but it is also a way too hone in on your shape cutting skills. I hope this video inspires you to try your hand at some classic woodworking projects of your own. Let me know iff you like these types of builds in the comment below.

Thanks!!
Love it! Beautifully made, and well-produced content as well. Thank-you
Thank you! We’re trying to get better with producing, definitely a learning curve.
Splash a little mineral spirits on the pattern and it will come off, that’s what my husband does
Huh, I've never tried that, thanks! I usually just use a heat gun.
I add just a very small piece of sand paper under the front leg and that work for me...
That is an excellent idea! Thanks for sharing!

Cool build.. do you have the plans for that so I can build my own for the kids?
Thank you and YES! The template is available for free on our website. the link is in the video description, or you can just go to www.boydstongrove.com
What size dowels do you use, my husband used a1/4 inch in the top hole and a 1/8 inch in the bottom hole he drilled the hole in the kangaroo 19/64 bit and also used washers between legs and body
It's been a minute since I've made one, but I'm pretty sure I only used 1/4" dowels for both spots. The washers is a good idea, I just left a little gap.
Hi, congratulations for the job!! where are the plans please... for my granddaughter... thank you very much
