It may sound harsh, but the truth is that for some people, hating celebrities is the only time they feel confident and empowered. Hence the fact of calling them "Keyboard Warriors". They know perfectly well that liking celebrities would put them in the category of "normal people" so they try to distinguish themselves by adopting the opposite position. Of course, I'm not talking about celebrities who really deserve criticism.

It's abuse! I don't care if people think I'm being dramatic, it's abuse and it's cruel. The level people can go to in a literal second, is alarming! Trying to be as cruel and vile as you can possibly be to someone, that's insane. It says heaps about their mental state as well! Wishing harm on somebody or wishing them to not exist anymore because they have a different perspective or opinion is absolutely sickening! This video can be summarized by the fact that people like someone until they realize who you are. A lot of the people you listed did awful shit especially Cardi. No crap people stopped liking them. Cancel culture get really annoying sometimes,I support them only if the celebrity that is getting cancelled deserves it (like racism,abusing,and other horrible stuff) ,but sometimes they do get cancelled for some really non worthy stuff,sometimes they ruin someone's career just over some misinformations ,that’s why I think they should judge only if the rumors are proven to be true.
Similar to what happened to Hailey Bieber, the situation was not that serious but people sent her extreme levels of hate.

Chris brown isn’t fully canceled by fans but he sure is somewhat canceled by executives. He rarely wins any high awards like the Grammys because of his past issues.
I consider him cancelled because he hit rihanna.
Something I don’t like about cancel culture is the blurred line regarding holding people accountable and allowing them to grow vs dragging people and refusing to let them continue their careers. I don’t think it’s fair to ruin someone’s career or “cancelling” them for something they did when they were a child/teenager. It’s 100% fair to call someone out, and that celebrities/influencers should use their platforms to address their past actions and why they were wrong. But I don’t like when people refuse to separate the art from artists. Your actions don’t define you. You might’ve done something really bad as a child/teenager, but have since grown from that. Saying someone is a “terrible person” despite not being the person they were over a decade ago, limits this person from growing. It’s one thing if someone gives a half ass apology, or repeats their actions time and time again after said apology. But people change.
I remember people searched Ice Spice’s Twitter to try and cancel her but she was only saying things like “Dark skin girls are so beautiful, I want to protest but they’re hitting people with rubber bullets, etc.” that’s why I like her so much honestly.

this makes me think back to all the times on platforms like tiktok where society will hype up an aspiring business owner and then when their business booms they slowly start to hate on them

Cardi threw a shoe at Nicki at one of the most prestigious events like she was on love and hip hop and has never apologized for it and that's why a lot of people don't fuck with her plus she's just a violent, horrible person.
Saweeti is definitely not hated, the line of horrible live performances she was doing a year ago highlighted what everyone was already thinking, that she's not the most talented in bunch and was only benefitting from lightskin/pretty privilege hence the album flop.
Latto literally insulted Nicki and slick recorded their private conversation all because she used her song to highlight the unfairness of the grammys.
There are definitely people who get hate they don't deserve but to say some of the people on the list get hate just because of jealousy is just absurd.

I feel like people who once love a celebrity/influencer and then suddenly start to hate a celebrity/influencer once they become successful is due to jealousy. Maybe people thought that a musician or influencer that they supported in the beginning would not become famous and would stay on their level.
Not everyone who dislikes a person is jealous of them. Very toxic way of thinking and the reason why many celebrities (and some non-celebrities) don’t take any accountability and blame everything on “jealousy” or “haters”

We have such high expectations for celebrities because what they put out on social media (i.e. Instagram, TikTok) makes us believe they are picture-perfect, thus, making us extremely disappointed when they finally do something even remotely offensive. Not every celebrity is a bad person. Almost every celebrity I can think of has been or almost been cancelled.
We don't go around cancelling normal people on the street. Cancel culture is alnost STRICTLY appointed to celebrities.

Long post alert : It's really sucks that cancel culture went out of hand. I was ok with cancel culture in the beginning when it was mostly in the black community. Like the coolest monkey in the jungle sweatshirt debacle with H&M. Prejudice issue that happened at Starbucks, and a couple of other companies between Like 2012 and 2018. Once cancel culture became about "fake" canceling social media stars, and celebrities that would still somehow keep a following after they were "canceled" it went downhill. It became a buzz word for the masses and ruined the start which was essentially saying we're going to put our money where our mouth is. You don't have a system to make sure that you're not disrespecting black people or poc then you don't need our money. Like the bus boycotts during the civil rights era. People may not always respect you, but they sure as heck will respect your money because without it they fall. We were voting with our dollars and influence. Now it's annoying just to hear the word canceled.
Also for the question of why the hate trains start, I think it has to do with exposure. I remember in the mid 2000s Like 2005ish and on Beyonce was killing it! And she was everywhere, and I mean everywhere. She had music videos, constantly on th radio,on award shows, was a loreal spokesperson, had house of dereon, had a perfume, Pepsi commercial. You could not turn on your radio or TV without hearing irreplaceable at some point. It was good at first we ate it up but it became overkill which was not her fault. It most likely was her team trying to capitalize on public interest but to her detriment. I love me some Beyonce, but even I was like ok you're like everywhere now I need a little break. I can remember around that time that was when the talks of Beyonce being overrated was starting to form. If I look at a lot of canceled celebrities for the most part you can see right before the fall there's a major push from their team to get them in our faces. Which gives people extra time to start thinking "what makes you so special?" And then the nitpicking starts. Cardi B was pushed heavy and you see people started to nitpick. Chloe Bailey started to perform more at award shows and showed up more on Social media and then the nitpicking started. Latto had a hit with Big Energy and the energy around her changed right after excuse the pun. Saweetie same thing had my type, had best friend, had the couples goals relationship and after downfall. Once access to a celeb becomes too readily available I think we subconsciously find a way to get them out of our view which is sad but I'm starting to see the pattern with you making this video. Thank you for making this video because it definitely got me thinking about how we are as a society.
