    I still remember opening $15 of old Canadian nickels all dating from 1937-1970s. Even a full roll of '38s, the second rarest Canadian beaver nickel out there!

    Good competition.. It seems like a lot of fun to do in a competition. I found a pristine 1937 buffalo last week. Also, quite a few lightly circulated 1960's.... Keep up the footage!! Thanks for sharing!

    The way i started collecting was when one day i was at school, and at recess i saw a penny sticking out of the dirt. I pulled it out and it was a 1946 no mint. I still have it to this day.

    I like 1989 Coins, because 1989 is the year one of my favorite Songs came out. I got my second proof set Months ago, But it was an 1987 Proof Set.

    Jusr a quick question about the point system. What if you get a coin that fulfills multiple categories, like being low mintage and an older date coin? Do you add the points for both categories, or do you choose the higher value to determine the score?

      Great question! The rule is that a coin can only fit one category, so you would want to choose the higher value in that scenario!

    Went through 5$ of pennies and all I found was 5 memorial pennies one japinies dime 1998(can't believe I found it there) and one 1989 Canadian one cent

      I determined that it is, indeed, a proof! They didn't make proofs in the San Francisco mint until 1968 which explains why there's no S mint on the coin. That's my oldest proof to date and I am happy to have it!

    There is a 1964 Special Mint Set
    In fact they are valued in the tens of thousands, $48 ,000 just for the Halve dollar.
    Thought you should know cause you found a shiny 1964 nickel, although the finish isn't nothing like the 64 SMS.

    The first proof looks like it was polished by a person. It's too reflective compared to the normal proofs. Not to mention the Monticello and the head have the same chrome look as their surroundings.

    I think a war nickel should be at least three times more points than a 40´s nickel. Also, I wouldn´t give any minus points for finding a post-1981 canadian nickel, because you lose just one U.S. cent. The melt value of a war nickel is about one dollar, but only 8 points.
