I GOT 10 ROLLS OF EACH COIN FROM THE BANK! HERE'S WHAT I FOUND (WARNING: LOTS OF SILVER!)

- Since we are in the middle of a National Coin Shortage, my bank is only allowing me to get ten rolls of each coin type for coin roll hunting each week. But hey- it's better than nothing and as it turns out, there are some really great coins out there right now! Right off the bat, the enders on some of these rolls were amazing (especially on the quarter rolls!) and the insides of the rolls absolutely did not dissapoint! Thank you all for watching and welcome to a new era for the Quin's Coins channel: Coin Shortage Hunting!

Guys this hunt was insane...I was fully intending on making the West Point ender the center focus of this hunt's title and thumbnail, but then, what I found just a few rolls later completely blew it out of the water. Then what we got later in the nickels section made it even better! I'm starting to think that this coin shortage might not be so bad after all!
I just wanted to let you know that one day I watched one of your videos and that inspired me to go to the bank and pick up some pennies and eventually I found a Indian Head Penny from 1894. Keep up the good work👍
Wow that's awesome! How many rolls did it take you to find that? They are really hard to come by!
I am finding my luck is erratic sometimes great but recently a bit sparse. I think the finds are coming from some people cashing in old coins they have not idea about and end up depositing silver.
I found a steel cent in a machine wrapped roll I was so surprised it was it my last videi
i loved this video! Happy finds in the future :D
I recently started working at a bank. I volunteer every opportunity I get to wrap coins. Once I found 4 silver quarters in one day.
I figured some people had to be doing this
My sister in law worked at a bank, she has a great collection. The tellers go through everything. Unfortunately in hard times people cash in their silver at banks at face value.
I used to work for a grocery store and got lucky when a customer paid in wrapped coins. Of course when that happens we have to open them and count it out. I got a huge score when I saw that the dimes were all silver Mercury dimes AND silver Kennedy halves. After work I told the boss what I wanted and paid. I hung on to them up until 5 years ago. Should have hung on to them but cest la vie LoL
Doesn't it seem disingenuous to take what is rightfully the banks property or essentially what might be claimed by all your coworkers?
Hard to believe people normalize this behavior without any shame or sense of unethical behavior
If anything you should serve the customers not yourself and you should leave those coins for the lucky individual for whom you preform your services. You're basically abusing your power at the loss of your customers. That's so shitty
My first Silver Quarter story...I went to my local grocery story to cash in coins in the Coinstar counter. One quarter kept falling through over and over. I got aggravated and roughly set it on the ledge. It sounded different so I looked closer and didn't see any copper in the edge! Needless to say, now I check ALL my quarters before cashing them in. I have three silver quarters now!
I think there should be a middle man who buys your coins for other that want it, the buyer then gets a % of what he bought ( middle man) for the true buyer. Currently there is tooo much bullshit talk about grading and making more money, that’s a scam, the coin dealers get a % of what the grader makes. Currently we just don’t know where and who to buy our coins, especially when they ask how much do you want? Well we aren’t knowledgeable to know of all the errors so we get taken advantage of. Some of the coin collectors don’t even respond back to you.
I used to work in a bakery thrift store. I always checked the till when I wasn't busy. I would find wheat pennies all the time plus a few silver dimes and quarters. at the end of my shift, I would exchange my money for the ones I found
My best hunt happened December 31st, 2020. I got 30 customer wrapped rolls of nickels. 10 of the wrappers were vintage. As soon as I saw them, I knew it was going to be a good hunt. Out of the 10 vintage rolls, I got 79 war nickels and the rest were other 1940-59. Out of all rolls combined, I got almost 500 pre 1960's.
Wow!
Yall are lucky, i have not even got a single silver dime nickel or quarter, i don’t even have a wheatie :(
@@OffMullerSame, but I’m from the UK. So I don’t get American coins too often.
I was just given a 1952 silver quarter by a customer today. I saw it when he pulled a bunch of coins out of his pocket then he put it on the counter to use as exact change and I looked like he was giving me a hundred dollar bills
Four war nickels and a silver quarter.....nice. I'd be happy with that.
I’m so glad your channel is growing! Congrats!
"kinda, moving real slowly through these coins.."
Him: flipping through teh coins like they are molten lava
😂😂😂
@@QuinsCoins Seriously though... I inspect my coins one by one because I don't know most of the variety coins, etc.
@@rmeows5087 i know some varieties, but same!
I've found a total of 5 silver quarters. My oldest is a 1942 D. I have never coin roll hunted quarters. I found all five in cash drawers at my job. I've also found a 2020 tallgrass west point quarter, a 1944 P war nickel, a 1936 and a 1927 buffalo nickel, 24 silver dimes, 1 blank dime planchet, 1 walking liberty silver round, a 1914 wheat penny and a 1919 wheat penny. All in cash drawers at McDonald's.
I do the same at My mcdonalds I work at!!! Lol
@@kalani4ever359 I keep change in my drawer in the office so that I can exchange them. All of the other managers know I collect, so they look for coins for me when doing their deposits. Sometimes I come to work and there's a coing waiting for me.
Im newer at coin collecting. I’m a manager at a restaurant, so it’s nice to have access to non stop rolls of coins . I Look through them every time I count drawers now. So your videos are helping me know what to look for. Thanks & good luck!
Awesome video! Thanks for sharing. Love your work.
Amazing video my friend! Rewatching now and thank you so much for sharing!
I have a 1943 quarter and kept it because of its nostalgia. Viewing your channel I found out it was silver! Very interesting. Thank you for your channel! I have subscribed!😀
love the video! super informative and entertaining!
very good hunt, thank you 👍
its always great when quin posts a video
Wow what an amazing hunt! Three silver war nickels in one roll just blew me away, let alone all the other amazing finds...just fantastic :D
What a great hunt. I would have tried sending a friend in to try to get some more rolls from the bank. Looking forward to this series. Best of luck.
Very nice finds, esp. for a limited amount of rolls. Always nice to find silver. I enjoy your videos.
Great vid. Thank you for sharing your knowledge! More power to your channel and God bless..
Awesome video!
Amazing hunt. Please take care and be happy and safe.
Last week I decided to get $5 in pennies from my bank, wasn't having luck with the quarters. First roll
I opened I got a 1917 penny, and there is a whole roll of wheat pennies. 2nd roll i got a 1918 penny. A whole bunch from the 30s-40s. I got so excited lol.
they actually made more coins in 2020 than any other year before... was more of a coin surge in production, but no one was circulating them
Smashed the like button!
Hi Quin! I have hunted 15 rolls of Quarters and Nickels in the last week and found a 2007s Wash. State Proof. I also found 7 1938 nickels p d and s. One book hole filler. 1939 p and d. 8-1940 all, 42 , 5-46, 5-47 2 were s, 48 couple, 5 49 3s..... lots of Fifties! No silver nickels. 1954s over d. But I did find a 60 Proof and 70 Proof, Both Mint! GL hunting! JJ
Great finds! Congrats! 👍😃
Beautiful Hunt! Sometimes loose customer Rolls will yield the most fruits, collection dumps and tellers don't know what they have!
The first silver coin I got was last year. I was counting coin in my register at work and I was throwing the quarters in my hand and I heard the sound of a silver quarter hit in my hand. So I dumped the quarters back out and found it. You can hear a difference in the sound of you drop a regular quarter on a counter and a silver quarter on a counter.
Wow that was a lot of silver coins you found Quin good job
Well, fun fact. I came across your video while going down the rabbit hole of watching CZcams videos. Since I have to get quarters to wash laundry in my apartment complex, on a whim I thought I would look for that 2020 quarter with the V75 and “W” mint mark....how cool that I actually have one! Yay for me. And honestly, I know nothing about collecting coins so what this find for me means, I’ve no clue. Guess I’ll save it. Might even start collecting coins!
Great roll hunt, you absolutely killed it on the war nickels. 👍😎👍🍀
Thanks for telling me to look at Coinstar return Trays, I found a 1943 steel penny 10/30/20 very exciting
The first silver quarters I found was in Ocean City MD. Playing games with my daughter at the arcade. It was awesome! Then a few years ago I found one when I was Christmas shopping. I knew when my change was handed to me I had silver because of the sound. Then last week I pulled one from a roll of only 5 rolls I hunted. And it was an ender at that. Those are the only ones I have ever found in circulation. I have only got a box once but have been through many rolls and family change. If I had to guess Ive looked through maybe 5,000 dollars in quarters and only found one that way.
I remember being on US 50 in Sacramento in 2009 and seeing a mileage sign that said Ocean City MD on it lol
I love quarters because there are so many designs on them. Also nice pull on the 1954 quarter! I have 2 1963 silver quarters and my third 1963 quarter is being turned into a ring
That's awesome! I hope it turns out nice for you!
"Holy Heck" HA, cool hunt the variety was cool
Yeah, that quarter box was probably epic. Trifecta! It's unfortunate you couldn't get the whole box.
Cool fines. Keep it up the great work. Stay safe.
I have never found a silver quarter but I have found a west point quarter and it has a cool story behind it. One time when I was at a friend's house I asked him if I could look through his jar because I saw the reverse of a San Antonio missions quarter. Concourse he said I could and that very same quarter ended up being a westpoint quarter and I had told him to keep it but a few weeks later he just gave it to me. That is just one of the amazing and unique situations I've had.
a west point quarter probably costs like 10 or 15 dollars or you could have it as a collection
Dude. Awesomw hunt-congrats!
I went to the bank, and a customer 2 previous to me turned in coins. I was just planning on getting pennies, but there was 1 halve roll with the pennies nikles and quarters. I opened the halves, and got 10 40%ers, 2 64s, 1 Franklin and 1 1940. Naturally, I asked to see the quarters, and got 23 silvers, 1 was 1927, so that was awesome, and my first liberty quarter ever. I also got 3 war nikles and my first buffalo, the pennies were awesome too with 9 1943 and 51 Wheaties. Best batch of coins I have ever got, besides another time with halves.
28:50 It is one peso from right after they revalued (chopped 3 zeros off) the peso. Ironically it is currently worth .05 USD.
Lol
Nice finds!
Hunted my first box of quarters today, found 1 2020 ATB Salt River Bay W mint mark V75. It was very exciting! Going back for more tomorrow !
I've been coin roll hunting for 2 years now and haven't found one silver quater yet but I've found almost just about everything else 🥺 I wanna find a silver quater so bad. I've found at least 30 war nickels and a couple liberty heads and buffaloes but like when it come to quater I just have no luck
Wow unlucky
Very Interesting stuff!
I didn't realise there was such a low mint run for 2009 pennies and even the dimes and nickels or that there were multiple reverses to watch for in the pennies. I just picked up a bunch of pennies here in Canada. They are hard to find these days so it's a bit of a score in itself. There are always lots of US pennies in our rolls so I will know to watch for those now.
Because of the 2008 housing bubble/ recession the fed didn't mint or print as much, they just gave bailouts and cooked the books
I found one of the west point quarters in my jar today.. nice!
Awesome , Hunt
What a hunt! Congrats!
You got yourself a new sub
Good video...Proactive I'm new to coin hunting. How can I assure that the bank if ordering circulated rolls and not rolls of 2021 coins?
Unfortunately you cannot. All you can do is keep trying- either at a different bank or the same bank at a later time.
@@QuinsCoins why do you wear a glove
Great finds! You could always roll them back up and trade each denomination for the same at the bank the next day.
Thanks! It's not best practice to return coins to the place where you got them from though. For one, you might end up just getting the same rolls handed back to you the next week. For two, you might tick somebody off who works at the bank and they might start questioning why you need the rolls in the first place.
@@QuinsCoins all very true, it is best to be thoughtful and not to get the same coins over again...but with covid, some banks actually prefer it to maintain their stock of coinage. Also, you can bring rolled coins to banks you don't have an account with to do this. Then just keep getting them from your preferred pick up bank. Just a thought. RFT does this.
You have inspired me to start this hobby. Thank you sir.
I was looking a little closer at that 1954 silver quarter during the wrapup and noticed some fairly strong doubling on the reverse. I know you’re not into errors so much, but on the bottom and talk it looks like the letters actually extend it onto the rim of the coin which is strange and not necessarily part of the doubling. I’m not sure I’ve seen anything like that maybe worth looking into a little deeper…Thanks for the contact I always enjoy your videos!
Where do you get the coin books that you have?
In 02'-03', while arrow head hunting ( native American stone artifacts) just outside of Bath, PA, I found an 1898 silver quarter...around the same time frame, near Beltsville Lake, PA I found a 1905 Indian head penny.
We get quarters from car wash change machines. Have found silver in those also. Good videos!
great hunt super finds
I found an S proof blue ridge parkway quarter in Canada. There are only 500 000 of them. It was still really uncirculated as well with no finger prints.
Found my first W mint quarter, 20 rolls of quarters! Talk about a fun find, was hunting the rolls with my son very special coin getting to spend time teaching my son about coin hunting and collecting. He likes to man the microscope looking for mint errors.
I don’t collect but my father did so I know what to look for as far as looks and dates for silver. I have noticed in the last year or two that I have been finding silver coins all over the place. And of course older pennies too. The earliest penny was 1917 and also found a 1943 steelie.
Did this twice with pennies
4 wheats in the 20 roles, one being a 1918, and one being a 1919S
That was a lot of fun! The variety made it interesting. That Asian coin is Korean.
I am new(ish) to coin hunting, but aren't quarters that were minted before 1964 silver? I saw a 1962 quarter around 9:13.
You are correct, but the quarter that I think you are looking at at 9:13 looks like a 1968 to me
@@QuinsCoins I'm sorry, my bad. Have a good day!
@@shelbyw430 no worries! You too!
We don’t have pennies in Canada since 2012. But I have quite a few rolls from the USA from when I had a summer place in Washington.
I deal with bags of coins from Brinks on a weekly basis for work. I’ve come across all kinds of neat coins. Half the time I never know what they are but it’s still cool to see them. It’s not uncommon to see silver coins. I’ve seen bags of times with handfuls of barber dimes as well as a lot of really old coins.
That's wild 😳
I’m beginning to believe, that you won’t find any West Point quarters west of the Mississippi lol
They are scratched because Canadians do not like the Queen, so they deface the coins with her picture.
Every hunt matters! Find them all! I’m finding lots in Georgia
Nice! I'm glad you're getting some down there too!
Where in georgia are you at? just wanna make sure i'm not dipping into ur honeyhole...
*he's not dipping in yours
@@rowdyyates9037 ok
Every hunt is an adventure, very cool that a customer wrapped roll(s) payed off.
Very cool😊
Those Nickle rolls must have been someone's collection cause those are good rools
The 2020 Salt River water just found a new era for the JFK on the right side bottom where the trees and it's a slight double dye to look for
As I'm looking at your video, I'm going through a 2020 w weir farm! Only one from $400 + in quarters!
Hell of a hunt Quinn!
I just got a 1940 from a customer the other day. Working retail now vs. 15 years ago, I see a lot less silver. This is the first silver I've seen in about a year. Hopefully, we can find some more silver and low mint now that we have some coin-operated games in the store
😳 they all look like just plain old coins. There are always so many coins I get frustrated and just use them all. And this is how you get cool things when hunting. People have no idea. Glad I watched.
Quin you are a smart guy you are good looking and smart my favourite coin youtuber love you.
Ws can be found only on 2019 and 2020 quarters. On 2019 no v75 is present. But it is on the 2020 quarters. To find one with letter S (Sam Francisco) you can hold all the coins as a stack and look at the side. If any one of them is “white” or whitish single color, without any copper line exactly how he showed.
i have about 20 rolls of uncirculated 2017p coins i bought them 4 years ago in the states and i brought them with me in bermuda where i actually work now after 4 years i am still afraid to open them up and search for errors because i know if i open them there al all brand new and never being touched and they are all shining in a very high grade
Hey Quin- I saw some Homestead QTRS yu passed- and seeing yu do check for errors- the Philly Salt Rivers have a known DDO and I have found 4 - fellow Michigander! Nice find on the SILVER Quarter!
Thanks for the new info Frank! I am more inclined to check for errors on quarters and dimes because there isn't as much "obvious" stuff to be looking out for in those denominations. I'll keep an eye out for the DDO- actually, I got ten new rolls of quarters the other day and they are clearly all brand new Salt Rivers so I will definitely be using your tip! Also hoping for another "W" in those. Thanks for watching!
West point are a sweet addition to the collection. If you collect. I got really luck and found 2 the year they came out.
Did this guy just start collecting coins yesterday? Out of 400 coins, he found a 1954 silver quarter. OMG THE RARITY! I get a silver quarter like once a month just in my regular change out shopping.
You Rock & Rule Quin !!
I've got to go through about 20 to 30 lbs of pennies in the next few months.
I didn't know about the 009s until a few months ago. I've saved more damaged qtrs than any other quarters. Just not getting the odd ones. On well, must keep on hunting.
You won’t do that here! I buy no less than six rolls of quarters a week, and haven’t found the first silver in one! I use quarters for laundry. I check every single coin I come across.
Same here. I use the new quarters for laundry, and the old style goes in the coffee can. Haven't found any pre1964's, though. Someday.
🤗good to see you
I found a 1935 quarter in my sister's piggy bank ha ha it was really cool I got so excited. I've been coin roll hunting for a bit now and I only ever seem to find bicentennial coins but oh well I still have fun doing it
Even though I'm not a guy, I did find an American Samoa W coin last Spring, and I've been collecting bat coins, nearly all Denver and have about 40 now, perhaps to use at Halloween. No banks open or near enough/friendly enough to sell me rolls, so I use self check out and arrange to get quarters. Also I have 2 Weir Farm Westpoint quarters, also via self check out machines.
Nice find on the 54 silver quarter.
I don't search rolls. However I have busted lots $5 & $1 bills at local washaterias getting quarters for State & Park Quarter collections the last 20 years. I only got one silver quarter, a 1963 D. That is the only silver quarter I have gotten in change since 1965. You are right. They are long gone.
Silver Stacking, Good job man......
Hello, Love the video. Just wanted to help you out on the S circulation mystery. I know several coin dealers personally. This has happened several times. Some moron will rob their store. Take all they can carry. They have been caught doing this. They will break the coin sets out of the slabs and mint sets etc. Then go spend them at the store, gas station, walmart, etc. LOL, I just don't understand these people. Have a good one.
I just found a 1966 double die Roosevelt dime a very rare find
You Rock & Rule Quin 😊
2020 - bat ?? hmm I feeling a Covid meme right there ...
I noticed it last year and thought it was very strange for the year.
Very cool Vid. I enjoy the hunt. I run a monthly inflation report
NICE COINS 👍👍👌
Been asking around about coin shortage and it seems most stores and individuals are not having a problem in central IL...I've heard all sorts of stories about it up to and including a conspiracy to get off of paper money ot electronic....which I've heard forever...
Found a V75 Weir Farm in my change from a store..sweet pull from simply buying a sweet tea!!
